I still have to get non perishable food. And masks. Or bandanas, if masks are sold out. They said masks only keep droplets out, which is not so good.

Droplets in the air seems to the the prevalent form of transmission.
although not the only way.
Nothing we can do will keep us totally safe from the virus. But we can greatly decrease the risks of catching it.
Avoid crowds.
Avoid handshaking.
Do not touch face with hands.
After touching things which may be contaminated wash hands welll or even use hand sanitizer.
contaminated things, shopping carts keypads at checkout, teller machine, door handles, etc.
Masks can help but treat the outside of them as possibly contaminated after using and wash hands after removing them. Same with gloves, they can protect you but if removed improperly they can also contaminate you.
BTW I got my masks from amazon about 3 weeks or so ago.
main things seem to be avoid crowds and wash hands a lot.
