made it around to getting a build in the firefly....
First impressions are "meh", OK vapor and airflow, good flavor though, I just need to play with the build and coil position.
Quality is good though the ultem cap feels light and chinsy, that could just be the nature of the stuff though, this is my first ultem cap.
O-rings are smooth even dry, I hope the cap doesn't turn into a loose mess when they get a little lubed up but it's nice to not have to wrench on the cap when you need to adjust or remove.
Airflow is positioned sort of funky for the way I have this build in so I'm sure that has something to do with the lackluster experience I'm having.
The wells are deep and the wicking needs to be just right or else it's easy to over squonk. The air holes being level with the top of the juice we'll mean that flooding = a bad time.
I'll play with it more later, run a bottle through and play with the airflow & build.

You should watch the vaping bikers review on YouTube. Can't remember but I think he does a build in it.

Those Frankenskull clone bottles from FT

He quoted my post with the link to skullkandy vapor on eBay. They have some bottles they sell,so I think he might be asking about those. But they sell two different kinds.

Coppervape & Battery length....

The only batteries I have that are "short" enough are LGHG2's.
Last buy I got 30Q's, and I like them a LOT, but they leave my Coppervape with a wobble.
Any other good/great batteries you know that fit and allow that last little bit of turn for a flat bottom?

I haven't got any newer Samsung 25R's to try.
I never pull more than 10 amps - want a long runtime...

The best bottle is the new sunbox 6ml cappy bottle. It's as soft to squeeze as boobies

The 25r old and new both allowed my coppervape to sit flush. Both copper and aluminum models.

Right on. Thanks Bro...
One bottle will last you forever so don't let the price scare you. They are softer then the Italian super soft bottles. Softer then a dropper bulb on a juice bottle even

It's a mental design, with the air coming up somewhere you can only put a coil if you build it with one short leg and one long leg - but that's how I'd build it. Duals, off-center so each coil is "kind of" over an airway. Not sure how the hell I'd wick that though...
Still have a clone in cart but it may also drop out, even at $10, lol.

I think the height of the coil will be the biggest factor in how it performs, the airflow doesn't really make sense to me though. There's really no direct flow to the coil so you get good flavor but not-so-great vapor. I think building duals in there to get direct airflow would be a nightmare.
Second, this thing is going to dribble from the air holes whether you over squonk or not, the condensation alone looks like it will be a little problematic.
At the minimum I feel like the air channels should have a raised lip inside on the deck to help with the potential oversquonk, maybe even machined at an angle a bit more toward the coil.
My other beef is that the wells being so deep requires a lot of wick material, and I don't care what kind of wicking wizard you are, the liquid is going to fight to make it uphill to the coil.
In my experience this just leads to the dreaded pool of cooked liquid in the bottom of the well.
I think I may look around and see what I can find, maybe something to press into the wells to shallow them up and something to sort out the airflow.
Don't get me wrong, it vapes out of the box just fine, but the Hadaly has literally spoiled me in comparison to any other build deck I've found so far.

I don't know what to tell ya.Dean gave it a stellar review, and so did Tony from Vaportrail channel.I bought their pin dad drip tank after hearing the reviewers hype it up and was not impressed much.

IDK maybe if I threw a fat stapled something-or-another in there it would rip just fine, but the old single strand seems to do me just fine on my other decks and in this one it just seems..... blah.
Wide open the airflow is insane so if you're into that sort of thing it definitely delivers, maybe I need deeper lungs lol

Almost bought a Pindad was still thinking about it. So you don't like it or it just ain't worth the hype cause I watched the reviews also.

I did run out and bought every piece of. ...based on the YT reviews. I came to the conclusion that many of them will talk them up because they get the stuff for free. Only rarely will they talk down an item and that one has to suck reeeeally bad for them to do so. I much rather trust the impressions and recommendations from the people here.

I was a lot more anxious to try every new squonk attie to hit the market before the explosion of bottom feeders began flooding the market.

Better to wait it out and find out from folks who vape like I do - very few reviewers do I trust to do that.

Reviews are good for getting a good look at how an attie is put together - but even that can be deceiving or misleading....

Even most of the reviews you find now aren't really provided by folks who have been squonking long enough to know what makes a good and bad atty.
-at least that's my opinion on that.
I'm not writing this one off just yet, a few little tweaks to the coil have made some improvements, but I still need to tinker with a different build.

I'm super-curious about the Pindad too - but most of the hype I've seen on VU so far is from noobie-type squonkers so I'm not ready to let go of $50 on it yet, lol

Bingo!

Also, I generally prefer cooler vapor and lower wattages, so for me, I look for folks that lean that way when considering whether or not to bite based opinion

It's well made.I get some leaking out the bottom around the 510,and while the valve system for the normal filling is a good concept,I don't feel it's properly executed. It has weep holes in the deck that the air is suppose to escape from while filling, and I think they are to small,so juice comes flooding up through the wick holes and floods the deck.It does squonk fill well though. And the chuff top gets way to hot.I'm not saying it's a piece of crap,I'm just not getting on with it as well as I had hoped I would for what it cost.I'll get back around to it sometime and try some different things to see if I fall in love with it. I personally don't feel it lives up to all the hype being reaped on it,but it has potential to be a decent atty for someone who spends enough time with it to tune it the way they want.IMO

Granted, I have some unusual preferences - (can't vape SS, prefer 1-battery mech, no-lag, and usually duals...) - but yeah, "deep well" is not conducive to squonking. Also, surprisingly, many of my fave atties have top-down or "high on the side" air. Nuppin, Stumpy....

Only atty I use that's got bottom air is a GP Dripper, but that one
a) is stupid $$
b) took extra effort to get it right because, deep well
c) is noisy as fuck (whoooooooosh)
d) does slam the air RIGHT into the bottom of the coil My coils are like off the airhole 1mm

Did you see that news story this week about a guy with a similarly adopted squirrel, and the squirrel foiled a robbery?

Cops caught the guy, and he said the squirrel kept attacking him, so he left without getting anything (he was trying to open a gun safe).

I don t think the atty would survive the shipping with her. She destroys everything she touches plus I wouldn't give her up. We bonded like she's my child and I'm her tree

They can be vicious. I made the mistake once of letting her out right after I took a shower. She didn't recognize my smell so she just kept attacking me and biting. I kept yelling "it's me! I raised you and feed you dumb ass!" A few hours later my smell came back and she was her cute lovable self.

Of all the Squonkable atties I have tried recently the one which surprised me the most is the Split Styled from FT. Still not sure why I like it so much. Maybe its not having to squonk as much or maybe the visual reminder of when it is time to squonk. So far just been running it in single coil after I figured out that a 2.5 mm ID wick will slide down the holes perfectly. ;) I also think it reminds of vape I would get from running gennies with cotton. Which some of you may think was sacrilege. But I loved it. I plan to try some other builds later on but for right now I am very happy.
Has anyone else tried this atty yet?
Here is a link for the one I got.
