Went whole hog.....
Despite the 6 posts, I went with a "go-to" build I use in a lot of atties.
If I had lotz of wattz, I might have gone different, but I use mech squonkers, so...
I'm running dual kanthal 27 gauge, 6-wrap, 2.5mm for about 0.4 ohms.
Another pancake fan posted that his are similar - but vertical!

As much as it bothers me to say it, the Stumpy/Dripbox combo is quite good looking lol

Mine arrived totally unbuild-able. Holes for the wire (which are in the deck, in case you don't know 'Nuppin) were like, randomly placed - not the same distance from the post. And the screw/grubs that go in from the side to grab wire? Didn't reach in and grab wire.
Totally useless hunk of mystery metal...

Grind the grubs down almost flat. That will solve your problem. That's what I did

It's definitely the pointy part. I had the same issue until I just made them almost flat. I can grab 28g wire now without issue

Well it's the same design but a different size. Would that make it a different atty all together? Reminded me of Tobeco's Velocity mini which is a clone of an atty the original manufacturer never made. But it is still a clone IMO.

Got myself a Dripbox 160 and a second smaller dripbox and a couple of b/f pins for my Origen V2 RDAs and I'm on a group buy for the Halcyon and the list for 2 Nuppins, not to mention the three coppervape mods. All of these are in the mail. Yet I also wanted to get Dre's Narda clone and was considering getting his SX and joining another group buy for the Wraith.

The Coppervape thing was here. In the Co-op section, in the Trading Post. Not sure if dre's going to do another run. Don't know where the hell the Halcyon group buy is, but I'd be interested in that too
The coppervape thing was here and it was perfectly handled by @dre The Halcyon was on a facebook group and it's closed now unfortunately. The first of the Coppervapes finally landed in Egypt and made its way past customs and it's here in all its shining glory!

I would be very interested to hear your thoughts on the Halcyon once you receive it. I am especially curious about the convenience of use related to the bottle access, cut out and location. It just doesn't look like an ergonomic one handed device to me with that bottle placement. The dripbox 160's ergonomics are great but the battery door reminds me continuously that I am using a cheap device that can't even sit stably on my desk.
I think there are several people in here that may already have it and would be in a better position to report on the Halcyon. But from all the reviews I've seen or the feedback I came across nobody had any complaint on this issue. Some, including myself, think the battery has a limited capacity (900 mah), but it seems to be performing reasonably well.

I always assume the atty that comes with a squonker sucks and the manufacturer will think its good.
As it is not released yet none of us can answer anything else about it except what the manufacturer says or if you can find a reviewer who has it on prerelease.
Would love to see your entire vape arsenal, inspects. Do you have a wide angle lens...

as an aside, the narDA(bf) coupled with the halcyon dna 200 is a single coil flavor chasers wet dream...

If you put a Z-coil (or any coil) in the center, and line the holes in the cap with the holes at the top of the base, that stops just about all of the whistle.
Good luck, they can whistle a little, but the flavor makes me forget about it...
I did REDUCE the whistle with a coil angle change, and CAREFULLY lining up the air.
But it's still there...
Heck for a few minutes, I ran it with the outer air slots over the big gap instead of where they should go - still blows on the Z-coil, but that seemed kind of lame - losing the tightly "aimed" air.
And hell, on a NarDa clone, I took a needle file to the outer holes, tried to give them a little taper. That might work, but my file is shit. And I really don't want to do that to my Legit NarDa - ezpecially as that one's the cool media-blast finish. I might pick up a better file and try that on the clone again. I wouldn't mind actually opening the air a tiny bit anyway...
