Im gonna have to deff get a Soul S now. I was second guessing it but i think your post pushed me in the direction of buying one. Im gonna get in that group buy in the facebook group squonkable.....
And i am gonna have to grab a couple of those signature hadley tips. I just made a order for the SQ sqounk and should have thrown a couple of those in with it....
That's the Tiny Little F#ckr from Germany, #53 of 89 (Munich area code), the first squonk I fell for and HAD to have after a year of wavering. Basically my gateway drug. First run ended in May (the start date of my rabbit hole) and Siegi the modder took time off for the birth of his daughter (aka The Boss, the TLF project is dedicated to her), he's been working on V2, scheduled to drop in September. He also has the boxes on Shapeways for DIY.
Siegi is a total dude, we've become good mates, albeit virtually... hoping to pay him a visit next year when I'm over there if my schedule allows. He partnered with another super cool dude, Jose who's in Spain who does all the TLF doors.
Really great community surrounding the Tiny Little F#ckrz on bookbook, genuine & helpful and kooky like we all are here.
The mod itself is wicked cool, great attention to detail... and SUPER small!

To be fair, they are doing decent sized batches, price under $100, join a list and get picked random, even shipped a bunch to the U.S. together, so I didn't have to pay individual postage from AU, and it seems like a pretty darned good atty so far. They hype, though...dang.

The hype train on it is off the hook but I have little doubt it's gonna disappoint. Also didn't @minimalsaint say Steven was a friend? Bonus points. ; )
And a good price, not super jazzed about the aesthetics but I'm excited to get mine. Looks hot with an ultem flow ring like a lot of the guys are doin. Although I think I still have awhile to wait, sooo... Expecting a full review dude!!

It was batch2, and took a while - they had a delay (rejected some pins), and then, you know...Australia, lol.

Airflow is right up my alley full open - slightly restricted and aimed perfectly at a single coil in a tiny chamber. Add great finishing and materials, and you can't really go wrong!

Ahhh ok so thats the TLF. Niiice. The small size is one thing i really like about these mech sqounks. They are tiny.
We really do need to meet up. Im in between jobs at the moment so i have alot of free time. I quit my job a week ago and am in the process of getting my commercial drivers license. I have a job waiting locally hauling dirt. So thats super exciting. When your work does slow down it would be super cool to meet up and check eachothers gear out, chat it up, and just shoot the shit.
I got in on a group buy in SqounkMerica for the Basic rda. I dont know why i filled out the google form but i geuss it was an impulse buy. Suckers gonna cost me a hundred bucks. Got it in gunmetal, comes with 2 dt, gunmetal cap, and 2 other caps. Kinda wishing i hadn't pulled the trigger but its too late now. Sometimes i buy stuff and have no idea why. I just hope its a good one.

I'm already sold on the CopperVape BF Mod (with a nice Hadaly style atty to go with it) because I drop stuff.
I also want to also get a cheap back-up mod.
Anybody have any experience with the Boxer or the Frankenskull?
I like the rounded edges of the Boxer but the Frankenskull does look pretty cool.
From what Ive seen GingerVapes is incredibly difficult to get ahold of...and then difficult to deal with, and very mean and aggressive if you have any issues....The reason I opted for the clone.
I would seriously consider most of the newer clones on 3FVape...Stentorian, SteelVape Box, Yiloong Boxes, and Wotofo Ram. With a little fiddling to the contacts the Yiloong boxes can hold 20700 cells and they have a 13ml bottle...Steel Vape Box is also 20700.
The Ram has a true Mech Push Button...which I really like..
A Bit more Money...
The Arkon looks very nice and uses 20700 celss and is very well built.
Another option in 18650 is the SignatureTips Squonker

Yeah it is pricey. I cant believe i paid that much for an atty without hearing from one person who has used it. I just hope i didnt throw that money down the drain. I want it to be a kick ass single coil atty. Will see though. If its not my style hopefully i can sell it for close to what i paid for it...

Philippine Peso yes, they listed them at $90 but gave the Peso equivalent of 4000, which is less than $90...and more like $79 and change. I know $11 isn't a shit ton to sweat in life...but he just hit 50 people for an extra $11, and charging the shit-tastic shipping on top of it. Sure there is going to be a dude to mass ship to, and then redistributed, the conversion rate doesn't match.
I'm Filipino myself and this is disturbing to get zero answer.

There can be many possible reasons they are charging more than the 4000 equivalent, but I don't believe PP is charging them 12% on fees.
Shipping was to be individual ($33 USD) before they agreed on a Hub (person) to distribute at a lower cost, but the difference in conversion was off before this was agreed upon.
Now don't get me wrong, you get a lot for the price they are asking, my only concern was the conversion...You get 3 caps with your order...SS or Gun Metal...Clear and Ultem.
I got the Boxer clone a few weeks ago, overall,it's a nice mod,but the included bottle sucks haha.The stock bottle is pretty hard,but i put a super soft in it,and that made a huge difference.I have a boxer coming eventually from 3fvape, says it shipped but who really knows how long it'll take to get here lol. I'll be able to give an opinion on it when I get it though. Like it or not I'll be giving one anyways
Re: Boxer, Boxer clone/s ... Been peeking at 'em. Not sure if I want or not. For as cheap as the clones go, no real reason to not get one yet I hem n haw about near everything.
I have the YFTK SVA Kimech Styled 18650 Mechanical Mod on the way. It does have a Mosfet though. My Brass CV should be here early next week too. Love those damn things.
Those look sharp. Granted it has mosfet but ya never know 'bout me picking something up.
Mosfet means more reliable and consistent operation and less maintenance.
Considering what day it is...perfectly understandable if you are.

Also means too unless I got a degree in electronics, if a chip goes kaput I'm out a mod. Have it happen to you once and you'll not like such a notion. That Ola X Hero did that on me. One of its chips or one of three mosfets in it went bad. I know it had three because someone pointed them out. It's around here somewhere, a $30 paperweight.
That's my reluctance to using any kind of regulation on mods, again. I perhaps ought to forget such things more easily, adopt the consume everything mentality. Still a bit upset recalling a need to buy a new 19" push mower every year from wal-mart, a briggs & straton even. You kind of figure such a thing would go at least five, ten years. Nope. We put one that had been used like a baby up after a Summer of use. Got it out the next Summer, motor was destroyed and untenable to fix, the deck had gotten eaten out by rust despite being stored inside a dry barn.
Sure I understand the axiom buy cheap, get cheap. When cheap is all you can do and the item you buy is meant as a "durable good" it damn sight ought to be durable, cheaply bought or not, my logic. All in I guess I'm likely more of a cantankerous curmudgeon than possibly you about such things. I love mine...I am however replacing the Contacts with Solid Silver Plate and replacing the bottle (I got both the Black YFTK and the Silk clone). In the future I plan on getting a better 510 but as is, its a great starter squonk and Ive used it for 3 weeks now and it hasn't left my hand....I even tend to use it more then the Dual Parallel custom squonk box I have because of how small and comfy it is. It is well worth the $15 tag and I plan on buying another black ad a Red version. I really wish they would make the box 4-5mm longer to hold 20700s...
On gingervaper's website they sell just the contacts for around 20$, not sure if they would fit in the clone. Granted that's 5$ more than the clone costs, but I'm sure it would be a much better mod with them. Maybe change out the 510 for a MM and it would probably be a damn nice piece. I love my authentic, light, hits hard and fits in the shirt pocket without hardly knowing it's there. Been thinking of getting a clone just to compare.

The differences between the boxer clone and the original are pretty significant as far as internals are concerned included the inside design of the case. It'd be worth looking into though for sure if you wanted to upgrade it. I'm buying one to see if I even like vaping mech at all. If I do, I'll prob wind up just buying an authentic 20700 version.
I'm also curious to see how they are put together. I want something for a bit of reference (having not owned one and 0 experience with them) because I want to make a mech squonk out of a piece of 2x4 (if that's what size of wood I would need). I can get free scraps and think it'd be funny walking around the yard vaping a rough ass piece of wood lol. I'm sure the guys that work at the hardware store where I'm posted would enjoy it too.
I know they are not rocket science, but a few measurements for reference would be cool. I've never done anything like that before and have the impulse to buy some MM parts and try and through one together. Can't be THAT hard. Right?

How do you like the authentic compared to other mech 3d sqounks if you have any. Really looking at getting the 20700 version. Really wanted a Pzld twoseven but cant seem to get in on the quick strikes. Im so eager to get a 20700 mech sqounker. I have plenty of 18650 mech sqounks...
Honestly it wasn't really that difficult. Conor posted a Google Doc, required an X1 for each color, and then ran a Randomizer.
There were a total of 5 each of 4 colors. The royal blue one only had 10 X1's so odds were decent.

I know Simplicity mods did a 20700,but don't know if he still does since he redesigned them.There is a guy in the UK called Affordable Mods that makes mech squonkers out of bamboo,and has a 20700 model.No lists with him,just contact him and order one.He will also wood burn artwork on them.
So what are the advantages of the 20700

You can get a 3000mah capacity with a true 30amp continues draw. Just a much better performing battery. You can get a 4200mah 15amp 20700. They are all around great batterys. Especially for mech mods. You can get the 30amp draw and not sacrifice capacity.....

Everzon has them. When I ordered a couple weeks ago it was 44 dollars and change and they only had a handful left in stock. a couple days later they raised the price and had a ton in stock. edit...they only have 31 in stock now...these move fast
