Finally got it to accept payment with PP

Just want to try out those FS squonk bottles - I'd kill for a cheap replacement for those expensive Italian bottles

On the squonk hole side that whole side was completely round...

I milled it flat to give it a more boxy look on that side to match the faceplate side.

I corner rounded the top and bottom edges to soften the shape and then satin brush finished the whole mod.

Yes, that's a 8.5ml Cappy bottle that Turbo included with the mod. Yes, I can get a whole bottle+ per charge running 0.5 ohm Kanthal coil at 30watts.

That's a damn great job my friend! Would be great if Turbo redesigns the boxes along the lines of what you did. Have you talked to him about this?

Thanks :) It's in my nature to mod things and felt this shape better suited my hands so really I just did this for my own tastes. I did post pics on Turbos thread, maybe he might offer that shape as a option since it can be easily done while crafting his mods, but it was not my intention to make him contemplate redesigning his whole mod shape.

Two questions : 1. Series or parallel? and 2. If you had to choose between this (meaning the wood one) and a coppervape, which one? I'm not sure and would like to get something nice. @JuicyLucy I think you have both mods, so please help me out here.

Depends on what you are looking for in your squonk experience Brewski :)

I know you are an RTA guy, but can't remember if you vape mechanical much.

If you are looking for a tough, cheap, reliable, rebuildable mech - the CV is the best deal I know of for a great squonk, hands-down period - if a single battery will fit your needs.

A few people like the CV atty - I do not and would recommend you skip buying a CV with the included atty, and instead spend around $10 for one of the many great BF clones that have hit the market lately.

Sonar's wood squonks are very nice and have mosfet protection - but are handmade of wood. I baby mine. It is very well made and could take more punishment, but as each is unique, it's irreplaceable so I baby it.

He makes singles, parallels and series.

I don't vape much mechs, but my favorite is a Project Sub Ohm SMPL mod and a couple of OG Republic tube mods. I don't tend to baby my mods but those wood mods sure look nice.

They are both an excellent value and squonk well - you won't lose either way.

Sonar's would come a lot faster than China though. He is a great guy to do business with for sure

Do you have a bf atty or a dripper you plan on converting?

SXK Hadaly, SXK Shifted, Origen Little (the expensive one :cool: $9.28), SXK Odis are on order from FT. I have a LoPro with BF pin and a NaRda waiting for BF pins from FatDaddy.
It just donned on me, the squonkers are single battery so the series vs. parallel is a mute point.

I'm in love with the Hadaly :inlove:

Someone was telling me earlier they're having trouble with the clamps using a clapton on the Hadaly clone.

I haven't built the clone yet, just got `em in the mail yesterday

i bought my four from a group buy i think in june...hope thier good.havent tried them yet...still tryin to kill other batts first..lol.

Best advice: toss the atty and get yourself another BF atty that will meet your vape requirements, lol
