I'm looking at this, wondering if i should give squonking a try: HCigar VT Inbox. I like the TC functionality but my only try at squonking was with a Fountain v2. Granted, it was pseudo-squonking, but I didn't quite care for it. Maybe a real setup would work?

That is a nice looking mod. Heck, it's a DNA75 box - you don't HAVE to squonk it if you find you don't like squonking...
My only suggestion - get some recommendations (based on what you DO vape) for a GOOD squonking atty to try it out with. At least MOST of us think that MOST of the "kit" atties are not as good as you can do for another $10 (on a clone Narda, or Hadaly, or 016, or whatever suits your style).

Squonking and using SS TC is very nice. It starts getting weaker just squonk.
Kinda like training wheels for squonking.

I've got the inbox and I love it. I'm using it with the SXK Hadaly clone and it is a thing of beauty

Today I got the brass CuV & the brass toned 22mm diameter Goon, FastTech squonk pins, the Odis. I did a build with Clapton on the Goon after using a FastTech squonk pin in it. Had intended to do dual coil and run at about net .4 ohm. Well, I did an eight wrap single coil instead. It read out at about 1.6 ohm, figured that was good enough.

Not sure I appreciate the extra heft to the brass version. I like the color and the notion that it is brass. That aside, prefer the weight of the SS/Aluminum alloy version a bit more. Don't misunderstand, intent upon keeping both. Will get used to the weight of the brass one.

@Hank F. Spankman, I can see why you do like the Goon. The clamping method is kind of nice. The chamber is set up to provide flavor more so than cloud, at least imho. Miss a chuff cap drip tip on the Goon, its drip tip for me is teeny. Jury for me is on it is still out. First impression is it's kind of meh, for me. Might think it's better than Wonder Bread after a week, or might not. I'll see and be fair as I can. --- Did a little vape porn looking and found what I desire. It's a wide bore drip tip Goon. Going to buy one here in a little bit. Having a do nothing day today. ( Tue 13 Dec 2016 11:13:37 EST )

I'll build something on the Odis tomorrow. It looks rather interesting, as though it might be better than Wonder Bread right off the bat. Not sure though. It too has a teeny drip tip.

Not keen on the teeny drip tips. They lean more toward a hotter vape for me. I like a cool vape as in part that's why I got away from cigarettes, didn't like the heat being sucked down.Tried using more air but that takes away the pressure of the drawing on the vaper, on the Goon. Hm, might be I just need to figure out the how of it to suit me. *sigh, smh* Well piss, ... just might be I like a chuff cap drip tip too. *shrugs*

ETA Mon Dec 12 21:58:49 EST 2016 : Went ahead in attempting to build on the Odis. Bah! I could get a 3M Fat Daddy pin it to fit snugly. Then, the insulator holding the positive clamp came unseated. There was no getting it reseated effectively. I used the M3 pin because the stock squonk pin that comes w/ it also let the positive clamp come unseated, the pin was too loose as well. So, figured the 3M pin would keep it seated. Ha. *smh* I put it aside until I can focus without frustration.

Also swapped out the Clapton in the Goon for a dual coil set up using 28awg round Kanthal. Wrapped both at 3.5mm ID and I'm netting about .65+/-~.02/3. Vapes like a charm now. :) Guess I'll not bother with the fancy wire too much, as I'm not keen to tote around a two or twenty battery mod to push fancy wire to achieve what I'm doing w/ simple wire on one battery.

Which pins did you use on the Goon? The gold coloured ones that come in single, 3 and 5 packs? They fit perfectly without modification?

I cannot find squonk pins on FT.
Linky please.

Here are the gold ones I used from. The pin fits just under the edge of the deck (internally, as to let the juice flow back to bottle if excessive). The head end on the bottom of the deck gives about 1mm or so of lift for the deck. You'll have a tiny gap and the base won't sit flush on the mod but it works fine otherwise. I'm not greatly concerned over the gap, it's merely a visual thing which does not allow leaking.

Thanks! Mine should be here this week. Looks like I got lucky and ordered the right thing.

Was just thinking, seems like it would be easy for a mod maker to add an eccentric center axis weight to a tube mod and spin it with the available battery power. Could be the answer to "what to get the vaping gf for Christmas"....

Ok, I know what some are thinking. In that case there is always the 26650 battery

Hmm, guess that doesn't, uh, tickle your fancy then. With so many devices requiring batteries these days, seemed like multi tasking might be a good idea...

Well at least with vaping, unlike smoking the lass wouldn't burn her lips. :)

Stainless steel in place of silver though

I think what makes the Frankie so distinguished is the silver contacts, which I can't see China using. And it looks like the magnets on the door will be attaching to the battery. I'd let this one pass until proven innocent

Yep. Fugly plastic mod.

Silver contacts is the one thing the OG had going for it. And clone lacks that

The Frankenskull has magnets on the battery too. It's not that difficult to trim a piece of copper to fix the SS contact issue

Bah! Got a touch of shiny sickness, yet again. Ordered some silicone tubing for replacing the tubing in the bottles later on, a Narda style RDA from Fast Tech this morning. It looks better put together than the Odis, but seems roughly similar. Built on the stock RDA what comes with CopperVape kit. Pleasantly surprised it is doing well for me. :) Cannot get its wide bore tip to fit properly. *shrugs* The tiny tip suits despite my recent castigation of tiny tips. :)

I like the stock Coppervape atty. A decent atty.
I wet sanded the inside bottom edge of the topcap with black 320 grit paper to get it to fit over the orings better. I do this to several attys. They work better with a bit of rounding on the inside bottom edge.
