I can’t imagine someone cloning a $12 authentic lol...

@troydestroy I would have bought the GR1 you were selling, but someone beat me to it. Looking forward to trying out the Flave though.
I really liked the flave 24mm and anxiously waited for the 22mm but didn't really care for it compared to my other 22mms

on clones...
I have seen clones of the Kbox Mini mod. But not much cheaper than the authentic..
Why?
I have seen few clones of regulated mods plenty of mech clones though.
I would not buy a clone regulated mod. Do own come clone mechs though with no complaints on them.

What I'd like to see is more americans investing in lathes and mills.. More USA control boards like Evolv, (but a good VW is plenty).. Even more products made in bloody mexico - or even central/south-america.

Leaving all manufacturing-capacity to the vagaries of the chinese is just ..moronic. And, leaving the rest to europe is ludicrously expensive.

Yeah... Some of these clones may very well come from the same factory off the same assembly line.

Even if not as someone mentioned in this very thread if the Chinese can reverse engineer and clone a Ford f150 truck a mech mod/RDA couldn't be much more difficult right

Just found out the other day that a top of the line Cadillac is Chinese built...

I was on 3fvape. So is the only difference between the Authentic & the clone is the contacts?

The Armageddon Style Squonk Box Mod is constructed from ABS (chassis) and PC (back panel) with copper contact for better conductivity.

I'm sure there are peeps in hear that own both. IS there a difference when using?

much appreciated

So I've done some more research on single coil RDAs and I'm considering buying a few clones from Slowtech. The SXK Entehon, SXK Haku Phenom (possibly w/ the PC cap), and the YFTK Flav 22 are in the cart right now, but I really only want to buy one of them (might be able to talk myself into a second). The majority of my builds will be in the .2-.3 range, so I might not want something super restricted airflow. Any suggestions?

Can't remember but do you have a Wasp?

think you do but getting old....

Yeah, I do have one. I just cannot stop the condensation from getting into my mouth (no spit back), and don't like the way it looks with a drip tip on top. Plus the cap is so loose on the Wasp that adding a drip tip would give it more leverage to come off in my pocket. I'm still looking at drip tips for it though, as you suggested. If I can fix the oring issue with some Dow/Mol55 lube, and find a drip tip that looks good and stops the condensation, I would be happy with that.

That's another reason I don't want to just buy all 3 from Fasttech. I'll probably be happy enough with the Wasp if I can fix it's issues. But I would like a backup plan if that doesn't pan out.

I own the SXK Ha-Klone and both versions of the authentic... its a good buy...

I owned the Flave 22 Ti and traded it for the Haku Cruiser, I really liked the Flave, but it came down to installing Alien Claptons, which one was ultimately easier to install. I would venture that that Flave 22 Clone to vape just as well as the Authentic... Only down fall with the Flave is the proprietary drip tip...if it came stock with the 510 adapter I think there would be greater appeal to it.

For the Haku...the stock drip tips suck, no nice way to put it, the drip tip is just shit lol... not just shit, but a babies shit after eating to much Gerber Pea Soup ;)

Air flow for both the Flave and Haku are similar imo, I really think they utilize the same size, just one turned 90*

If you're worried which one will get hotter when closer to .20 and want an easy fix, get the Haku and a larger drip tip. The flave you'd have to get the adapter from Alliance tech, or toss a 510 in the stock DT and then see the silliness that is Alliance(Fast/Slow) Tech for not providing the adapter.

My squeeze/wasp Le Supersonic and assorted goodies from FT arrived safely! :vapemail:

Dumbass postal person put it in my neighbours box. Good thing my neighbour doesn't vape.

Opened the package quickly, no time to mess around this afternoon, but DAMN is that squeeze TINY!

I absolutely love this thing! I was genuinely surprised that a lot of the things I had read or seen in reviews were not at all accurate for me. The squonk bottle comes out very easily with no mess or issues (probably was my biggest fear), the battery door lever stays up with no issues at all it doesn't flop and is not loose, the fire button is not cheap feeling or loose/wiggly, and the magnetic door doesn't flap open when squonking (I can make it very slightly move if I really try but like 1-2mm at most). Overall I am blown away. Feels great, works perfectly, looks amazing, and I have nothing I can knock it on. I'm a pretty critical guy too, I'm not one to gush, I usually pick everything apart. The only things I could possibly say is that one of the two hex screws on the top of the mod has some of its black coating missing and I ordered a spare squonk bottle and it was just loose in the shipping box. That is as bad as I can do and that is beyond nit-picky. Great little squonker!

Heya Bonkz,
Breaking in here when I have a minute, been busy as a nutter working on a cool 1978 themed project..been mining for soundtrack music the past week... leaving for Europe now in just over a month (Fcuk!) ..and with around -$17 to my name.
Was actually messaging with our Lady Juicy over the weekend and told her I’m leaving VU ...just not feelin the fire like I used to & need to focus on some kinda important life stuff. High time to tone down my obsession with fiddly bits!
Annnd speaking of, my travel rigs are all dialed in.. and not a squonk or RDA in sight (?!)
(I know..I know...shaddup)
Gonna be rocking the Rev4a and a couple Petite Box’s.. was able to score the uber-limited white and red leather sleeves.. so as you can imagine I’ve had a big Vaponaute chubby ever since.
And damn if I don’t still totally love the Herakles Nano. With the Lawless tips it’s just pure butter...

Ok, I couldn't wait to try out the squeeze. Threw on a Hadaly that I built the other day at around 0.5ohms.

This has to be the most ridiculously cheapest simplest squonkiest mod around. $17 freaking dollars????

Welcome to the club! It really is a fantastic and simple mod. I have mine designated as a backup now that I have two RSQs...butnid still use it if I were going to the beach or something. I looks perfect with the Wasp.

Let us know how you like the Le Supersonic...it’s on my list of possibles. Particularly would be interested to hear how you like it compared to the Hadaly or Wasp.

The Supersonic is a wonderful RSA... However you're not going to get brute force air like the wasp... The Supersonic (and le Concorde) are more like a smooth wispering spring breeze

Really great airflow and flavor but tighter draw, but not MTL. I found it quite nice :)

Thanks very much for the info. :)

I'll definitely dig into that thread. Sorry for the tangent here.
The Rose by Eden mods also has a tank called the trillium
that takes Atlantis coils ,
was made after the rose for subohm users ,
that maybe didnt want to rebuild

I meant it figuratively...

*dons his best Jack Webb voice* "Uh huh, I kind of figured that." *gives trademark Jack Webb meets a really trippy and terrifying Cheshire Cat grin, slips back to his natural 'Slingblade' raspy voice*

I thought a bit of silliness was in order. *grins* Never know what in having folks walk in at random and start shooting up the joint, when you'll last get room for a bit of puny joking.

Weather report here is cagey and realizing cortisol is such a terror. Have started being more aware of it, focused on keeping it at bay.

Yftk flave 22mm fits 510 tips within its tip , so you could look for a low profile 510 to slot in there , at least saves on the adaptor

Can anyone actually follow/track/keep up with this thread, or am I losing my mind?

You had a mind? Lucky you, when asked I thought they wanted the gold and said no.

Actually, I can follow it somewhat. That however is due in part to a learning process involving use of personal filters.

For example, I'm not on Facebook enough to be concerned over secret butt hole buddies groups. I don't pay any attention to most of those messages in this thread. I might scan over them just a bit, see how human nature does not change despite our obvious maturing. One guy screws over another and on and on it goes, that's my take on the Facebook chatter. Not much changes in that either, sadly but truly.

I only pay passing attention to any conversations about new gear. Too poor to afford much of it anyway. Besides that I've kind of found my ideal spot with what I want vaping. It's now down to me doing tweaking, honing the building of coils, maybe doing a little juice DIY when I can afford doing. I just don't need much as far as gear so that too kind of gets set to one side.

Every once in a bit there's a plea for opinion, advice or general comment on a situation regarding squonking. I might offer a tidbit or two but am kind of off in the woodwork about it as well. Everyone has butt holes, voices and there's no need or point piling those up on here to sate a question's hunger. Also, there is a lot I'm still learning too and some I get wrong. Why risk giving out bad info?

Then you have some inside jokes here and there. Kind of dodge those too. Probably eighty percent of the time my humor doesn't mesh up with what is generally considered funny, another ten percent is that I just don't 'get it' and won't because it's a 'had to have been there'. The other ten percent? Well, I can laugh or chuckle privately and at times do, and that coincides with the bit above about advice, opinions.

Finally, I'm not really one for a lot of what I see as small talk. Small talk doesn't really 'engage' me and of course, I don't think that is its purpose anyway. So often there's a general sense of unwelcome gifted to me, and I know I'm not alone in feeling that. There's just a sense of "hey novelist, yeah you, ... keep it short m'kay? We can't swallow all dem big words and eat conversations with more than four ideas. Also we don't know how to play connect the dots.". That's society by and large on the whole though. That'll be what'll be and nobody can really change it, I mean we could but then that means a lot of work some of us hacker types run away from, I mean politics even? And look here you are trying to see how its done too.

Recall, filters, use of critical thinking, use of creative thinking are parts of it. Mesh it all together though, mix it well and blend in some drugs, a bit of alcohol, twenty odd years growing up on sound bytes and you might get it. Or, you can go psychotic or both. :)

ETA: My use of the term guy is not in the sense of the Jewish, a slang for goya or subhuman. My use of the term guy also is gender neutral. I talk and write in the age before political correctness, where if one says those guys over there, one can mean all the ladies present there as well as their cute boyfriends. No, I will not alter my terminology to suit political correctness as that's stupid. Sorry, just say no to newspeak.

Basic RDA or Squi RDA
Both are 8.99$ on 3f At the moment but the Squi has peak Airflow which ive read some say its started to melt parts but dont say / know if they had big builds or such in there
Ive recently de cluttered down my RDA,s , to just 13,
11 are single coil for Bottom feed but do have sentinel and Kira on the way to try, so be 15 again soon,

I think I can comfortably take the Flav off the list of possibilities then. No need to get one that might give me wire dimension issues. You SXK Haku thread was very informative btw. It sounds like it can handle lower resistance builds, especially if I get that PC slam cap and a batter drip tip.

Has anyone else used both the Haku and Entheon? Does either have more airflow than the other? Like I mentioned before, I'm mainly worried about my lower resistance builds getting too hot because restricted airflow. So I'm interested to know which might handle that better.

I wouldn't discount the Flave, it really is a great lil RSA... Like I mentioned... the only reason I traded it was due to ease of slapping in Aliens... Haku has an open post where you can slide a lead in, the Flave doesn't...and the ease of it was a difference of a few seconds...

I would buy a Flave 22 clone and the black delrin cap and use the included ultem drip tip and probably never get the warm lips as I did on my Flave 22 Ti before the adapter.

Funny thing is... that Clear slam cap I have pictured you saw...it actually has the shitty Haku Drip tip in use LOL... works well with that cap, just not on the stock one.
