P67 changed the look a bit - it's as rock-solid as the Grand, but flat top and curvy corners...

You really don't want to do that. The spring is your only safety between you and a dead short. It will pancake and break the connection in a split second if you short it.
You really do want to do that. Rob is about the only mech manufacturer to use the hot spring. None of my mods have fuses. I have a brain instead... and well performing mods

I was speaking of the industrial looking metal ones.
The Lost Vape drone looks nice and fits BIG attys.
Atty perch is from days of 510 bridgeless and 306 atomisers. The design predates rda. It was later shaved down to accomodate, but still there.
The 306 and cartomisers needed a cup to catch seepage

I run a single coil fused Clapton in an Odin but it's on my VT75 - it is warmer than I usually like, but it is a good vape.
Agreed! I'm not a fan of very warm vapes so I think I may just go to a staged Kanthal clapton. I might use SS to stage with.

There is no "perch" on a P67 or a 2015 Woodvil. The 510 connector sits flush with the top of the mod.

Indeed, the spring is not all that great a safety feature...plenty of batteries have vented in mechs with Springs. The only safety feature in a mech worth a lick of salt is your brain. Mistakes don't just "happen" when building, they arise when you get lazy, and don't follow a proper procedure, don't research and know your stuff, or knowingly build too low. I'm near 6 years smoke free....never have I come close to venting a battery....you check, double check, then check again.
On another note, I remember a number of years back some of those Springs (not Reo's that I know of, just in general) were melting and creating shorts, even with acceptable builds in some cases...nothing to guarantee that spring won't melt to the battery and body of the mod.

Most 3D mods are of the same concept/design with subtle differences. If a Frankenskull & a Cool'flow were for sale at the same time for the same price, 11 times out of 10, I'd get the Cool'flow
it is good that they bring decent contact material [solid silver] to the masses in sub $200 mods.
I'm not 100% sold that silver would make that big of a difference unless you had silver all the way through, but contacting silver to a brass nut or collar on a 510 with a stainless pin could negate it all.
There's also different types of silver, some more expensive than others. In all reality enough silver sheet to get you contact strips in a floris box is only around $15, I don't suspect many of the other 3D mods like the Frankie would take much more.
Either way, I'm going to find out. I have a sheet of LG422 sterling that I'll be using and testing with, I really am interested to see if there's a difference over beryllium copper.
Mostly maintenence. Solid pure silver is better than sterling

For .1 ohm per meter difference Copper is fine with me.
You might want to try Argentium while you're at it. Not as soft as pure silver but slightly higher silver content than sterling. Doesn't oxidize as quick as sterling either.
