I cannot believe you can keep something that ugly within 10 miles of you! I will do you a favor and take it off your hands....anytime.
I don't mind the look of REOs. They don't photograph well. Defs need to ditch the spring though.
You really do want to do that. Rob is about the only mech manufacturer to use the hot spring. None of my mods have fuses. I have a brain instead... and well performing modsYou really don't want to do that. The spring is your only safety between you and a dead short. It will pancake and break the connection in a split second if you short it.
Well that one is nice and does not have the atty perch.
Atty perch is from days of 510 bridgeless and 306 atomisers. The design predates rda. It was later shaved down to accomodate, but still there.Well that one is nice and does not have the atty perch.
I was speaking of the industrial looking metal ones.
Any of you folks use SS clapton coils in your squonk atty? I get the feeling they stay hot quite a bit longer than their Kanthal counterparts.
Agreed! I'm not a fan of very warm vapes so I think I may just go to a staged Kanthal clapton. I might use SS to stage with.I run a single coil fused Clapton in an Odin but it's on my VT75 - it is warmer than I usually like, but it is a good vape.

@Train, what atty sits on top of your P67?
I might work on list. I'm scouring net and book marking bunch now.Wow - if ever there was a topic that needs it's own thread this would be it.
Just to give you an idea, I'm attaching a chart of the BF attys Rob sells at Reosmods. There are notes regarding what they started out as, dimensions etc. NOTE: Just because these specific attys were modded for BF that doesn't mean they are all easy to mod either. Something like the RM2 starts out as a cheap Triangle atty and has a LOT of machining done to change it to a bottom feeder.
Do whatever you gotta do to view this chart full-size. It's 1013x1095

Hey I'm a chain vaping truck driver too. After a full day with my new to me REO in my hot, sweaty, truck driving hand, I cannot extol the virtues of it enough. To say I'm smitten does not do it justice,
Selling my triade and getting a drone. The Lost Vape drone looks nice and fits BIG attys.

Lots has happened in a year. This thread been going exactly a year now. Has there been better mods/squonkers out in that time. I've just started to get interested in them.?
My S5.
Another atty question for you folks,
Just nabbed a Thump, anyone here still using one? Thoughts?
Seems fairly simple for BF modding...
Nice! It's a good little doohickey. Really good for lower wattages
Nice!
It's a 510 drip tip, yeah? Trying to find a delrin one now, wonder if the hadaly tips will work?
Yes cheap decent squonkers have brought squonking to the masses.Lots has happened in a year.

Yeah, it's 510. I wouldn't use too short of a tip tho. The air being where it is

Most 3D mods are of the same concept/design with subtle differences. If a Frankenskull & a Cool'flow were for sale at the same time for the same price, 11 times out of 10, I'd get the Cool'flow
it is good that they bring decent contact material [solid silver] to the masses in sub $200 mods.
Mostly maintenence. Solid pure silver is better than sterlingI'm not 100% sold that silver would make that big of a difference unless you had silver all the way through, but contacting silver to a brass nut or collar on a 510 with a stainless pin could negate it all.
There's also different types of silver, some more expensive than others. In all reality enough silver sheet to get you contact strips in a floris box is only around $15, I don't suspect many of the other 3D mods like the Frankie would take much more.
Either way, I'm going to find out. I have a sheet of LG422 sterling that I'll be using and testing with, I really am interested to see if there's a difference over beryllium copper.

Do you have plans for a parallel or series mod?Depending on the type, sure.
IDK it will be a fun experiment for me anyways.
You might want to try Argentium while you're at it. Not as soft as pure silver but slightly higher silver content than sterling. Doesn't oxidize as quick as sterling either.I have a sheet of LG422 sterling that I'll be using and testing with, I really am interested to see if there's a difference over beryllium copper.
