I'm really like them with Tanks, with RDA's I like Fused Claptons much better. They work wonderful with Tanks for the wire works best when staying saturated.
Let me know when you need/want some more, I'll spin some more up for ya!
Larger coil, cone shaped bottom of the coil, more juice capacity (i think?) Three different resistances for the coils. I think that's that big ones

Yeah, the rafale was a mess. A total mess. I'm still going to buy the new crown, because I'm assuming the coils are still SS, although they haven't said specifically. I don't really see why they're advertising their .8ohm coil as being for the best flavor. That's never been my experience in SS..I think they changed the coils again

I'll stick with my 6 Crowns. They lost me as a customer to future products with extremely poor almost non existent customer service. Doubt I'll ever buy another item from them unless it's replacement coils for my Crowns. Just a really poorly run company.

I saw the Rafale and meh .... passed.
Got the Rafale X RDA though and it's a real game changer, few things they need to improve but as a whole a major game changers.
That and they really, really need to get rid of that damn swirl crap in the chimney, once you remove that B.S. swirl piece of shit the flavor comes out.
The rafale has ridiculously muted flavor as is. It's a little better if you tear that chimney thing out, but still not near what it should be

UWell? Back in the day, I'm talking WAY back when the Crown first released, I called the number on the box and I got.. fuck.. I cannot for the life of me remember the dude's name but I got the owner of UWell / Crown designer on the phone on literally my first call to the number, no wait, no anything, pretty sure it was the dude's cell phone or something. Either way, I had some questions because two Crown tanks were out and I had both. There was a lot of local debate where people were saying one was a clone and one wasn't. The difference was, one had wider slots but weren't as tall, giving more overall airflow, the other had slots that weren't as wide but they extended down more in terms of length, this one gave less airflow. Other than one having slightly more air, there was no difference, but point is the guy sat on the phone with me for around twenty minutes, two were for my questions, eighteen was just us shooting shit. I got the impression he was a really cool guy, not sure if he's outsourced this to representatives now though since the company blew up.
Turns out there were just two versions, he felt it needed more air so he gave it more air. I think there's three versions of the Crown, but there's not in V1, V2, V3 format, they just did silent updates. I'm a rebuildable guy at heart, always have been and always will be, but out of the two sub-ohm tanks I did like, the Crown was one of them, the CCI Maus being the other. The Crown had really good flavor and a decent vapor output, and I used it for quite a while, it was the king of sub-ohm tanks back in its day and some say it still is. The RBA base for it sucks though, but every sub-ohm tank RBA base tends to suck when you compare it to a full size deck. The CCI Maus is the opposite of the Crown, really good vapor production and decent flavor output.
I love the Rafale-X, I wouldn't call it a flavor atomizer, but it brings me back to the days when it was like late 2014 and I was one of the 'edgy' vapers with a series box. Crazy ass builds weren't really super common yet, parallel coils were about as wild as we got and the basic, first clapton. Then 'tiger' and 'abyss' wire shit you see on RIP Tripper's channel from back when he had a soul. Back then the local modders who made series boxes would wrap a coil just like the 'sleeper' or 'center-post' coil build where you have multiple coils coming off one single strand of continuous wire, except we'd run the coil connection lead past the positive post instead of through it, having the dual coil element of a parallel (not parallel wire builds, just, adding coils and splitting the output current through the positive post as nearly every dual coil or quad coil build is done) build but instead of halving your resistance you doubled it. This way you could have coils you'd vape on a parallel box but a resistance fit for series. The Rafale-X is a godsend for people who LOVE unregulated series boxes, be it dual, triple, whatever. It also is great of 2-4S lipo boxes for the same reason. But no, it's not a flavor chasing RDA by any means.
The Rafale sub-ohm tank, in the ten minutes I used it, was a piece of garbage. It had a really, limiting fill method that forced you to either use a unicorn or needle tipped bottle for the filling or just be forced to bottom fill, then the tank had next to no flavor and was really just a poor imitation of the TFV-4 that didn't do as good of a job and didn't live up to the Crown either. The threads were crunchy, nothing on the tank seemed to fit smoothly, and it's just hideous looking. I will say, the packaging for it, much like the Rafale-X, was on point, but the tank was balls. Misleading shit right there.
I will never understand the reasoning behind the aesthetic design of the Rafale, the tank looks like a fucking aggressive suppository.

ETA: I think this guy recommends butane, but I did just fine with a propane torch. Either one can be bought very cheap.
ETA: Wow, $25 bucks for that torch, fuck that. Just grab a cheap propane torch head from Walmart for like $5. Uses the small camping propane cylinders that are also cheap. It's something every man should have anyways, money well spent.
ETA: Propane probably works a lot better than a small butane torch, because the flame is much bigger and more diffuse, which means a uniform color is easier. If you're only wanting gold, that's super easy because you don't have to get it that hot.

I have an arc welder, it's got full temperature control settings for power, I wonder if it would be too much for certain atomizers, because I know it can melt 317SS welding wire like butter.

I'll probably never be able to match his #CoilPorn but I'll definitely be able to make what my family and I will need. I just picked up 2 spoils of kanthal Clapton wire, 1 spoil of kanthal hive wire (it's bitching looking), and 1 spool of SS alien wire (for my Mom's temp control).
I'm excited! But unfortunately for me, a couple items in my FT order won't be ready to ship until the 31st ~.~ the 3 black Boreases included...

If you're getting wire from FT, make sure you clean it. We ordered a few brands a while back and they were mostly pretty dirty. Couple were clean though

Yea I dont really condone use of Chinese wire it "may be" what it claims to be but with their warehousing and business ethics there you'd never know if it was stored with lead....All the coils Ive sent to people are made of Sweden Smelted/USA Milled Sandvik wire. Its high quality, clean and lasts longer and has better heating results over all. AVS manufactures* their wire inhouse and Im pretty damn sure its just as high quality if not better.
I love Kanthal and N80, and Im loving SS....different strokes for different folks but Im not complaining...

To be clear, we don't smelt our own wire. That would require a level of infrastructure that would be ridiculous for a Vape company, nevertheless we've had to answer this for people in the past. We get our wire from an american mill that we feel provides the best SS on the market (trust me when I say...We've shopped around) and then we manufacture it in house to the vertebraids and claptons and such

Yea Reddit seems to be a pool of assholes that didnt get their candy...its much more friendly here.
They told me they don't have any in stock and none are available anywere. So they discontinued them. Just hope my black one shows up. Ft is getting to be annoying. I ordered kuro coiler a month ago and it still hasn't showed up. The gold air flow ring I ordered for the boreas shipped but not the boreas. So I better get the black one or I'll just have a afc ring to a tank I don't own...lol
Now they said they want me to verify the credit card used is really mine by sending a pic of the card to them before they go threw with order. What a headache. Hope it all works out. Have they done this to anyone else?
