Well now you have given me a heads-up on a variation of Fried Ice Cream! I have FW Butter Pecan (is that what you used?) so I'll definitely try it.

I cannot have Breyer's Butter Pecan in my house. If I lost just the tiniest bit of self-control, me and that ice cream would run off behind the shed out back until the ice cream was gone!

Thanks Deb!
Be right back, I need to go look :) Yep, it's the FW I just looked at the recipe I wrote down and I used 1% of the butter Pecan and 0.5% of TFA Toasted Almond. I had read somewhere that almond can also sub for cherry so I gave it a shot. It came out good

That FW Butter Pecan is quite a flavor!

You guys, it's getting bad... I got some Great Value Speculoos Cookie Butter today at Walmart. It's the only other brand they have besides biscoff. Just wanted to see how others taste. I unloaded groceries and decided to try it just to see how it tasted. I've been using my finger and can't stop :D. How did I go through life without this stuff before?

You’ve been seduced to the Dark Side, young Jedi!! I know, that stuff and the Biscoff cookies are worse than drugs. Lol

I went to a dying B&M vape shop today. I used to go there a couple of years ago and buy their house juice. A couple of them were really good. I figured since the store was closing, maybe their mixer guy would be nice and clue me in on how they made them.

There was one guy up front when the door bell went off. After chatting a while about the sad state of affairs vaping in general is in, I asked politely. I explained how much I enjoyed the juices and that I would like to make them at home. The dude went in the back to talk to the man in charge.

The young guy came out and said, "He'll do it if the money is right". I thought okay now we're getting somewhere. I was prepared to offer $100 but before I could make my proposal he blurts out, "Yeah, a thousand bucks. That's what they're getting". I thought to myself, GTFO with that. Nobody's interested in your damn house blends but the loyal customers who've tasted them.

I say, "Seriously? It's not like I'm hard up for stuff to vape on. I know the creator took time and effort to make them but jeez..

A thousand dollars.... I told him Iknow, in a couple of months it might be illegal to sell anything vape related that isn't approved by the FDA. I thought maybe the owner or whoever's back there would maybe throw me a bone but I got "Big timed" by a guy who should take what he can.

I know not all shop owners are dick heads but the ones around here sure are. I know of 4 places within an hours drive and they all act high and mighty. The ones in charge do that anyways.

I think it’s because their livelihood and their way of life is going up in smoke. A grand for some recipes? Wow. I don’t even think he was the one that created or mixed them, by the sound of it.

It is slooooooow up in here!

I mixed Kopel’s Violette the other day. Lemon gelato with violet candy undertones. Really creamy lemony custardy stuff.....Vienna Cream for the win! I love it! Unfortunately, it takes a flavor that one can only purchase in the UK, but since I order from them every few months, not a biggie. I didn’t think I’d like the floral goings on, but I really do. It’s subtle enough that I notice it, but it’s not in your face.

It sounds like some of the floral juices that Kai’s Virgin Vapor has. Some with Rose, or Violet. They sound neat, but $23 for 30ml, ouch. But maybe before vapageddon!!

So, what is the verdict on the Lemon Cream Wafer flavoring. It will cost $12 for one 10ml bottle due to their shipping prices. Is it truly the Dinner Lady Lemon Tart? If not, then it's not worth me spending that much at a place I really don't care to shop with due to their overpriced concentrates :)

Is that Chef’s or some other place? Or you can say MYOB!

I suspected it but had to ask as I have seen recipes using % like those. Id imagine they are the ones that you read "hi, my coils only last a day or two. Any suggestions?" :D

You missed the “you can have the recipe for $1000!” Just Frank told us,

I think it's part of Dinner Lady Lemon tart for sure. It's that lemon cookie part I taste similar to a lemon oreo if those exist. But Dinner Lady Lemon tart has more bright lemon, creaminess, and sweetness going on. Without Chem Lemon Cream Cookie flavor, all other clones probably fall short. I haven't tried many but "good enough" isn't close to authentic a lot of the time. This flavor will get us a lot closer to the authentic flavor most people love.

Also, I'm sure everyone already knows but most of us got it at DIYVS.

Agreed after a few day steep on the mix I made the lemon isn't as bright. It is 100% a component of the recipe though. I have no doubt about that. It is what gives that slightly cereal flavor that I always thought was fruit circles. It has that crunch to it too. I like this concentrate even if we never figure out the exact recipe. I will say that the mix I made tastes pretty close without the brightness on the lemon. I am guessing they use all CMV concentrates, but I don' know that for sure either.

Don’t a lot of pre made juice makers stick to one company’s flavors? For simplicity?

I think so. I’m still waiting on ordering from DIYVS. They have CNV Lemon, which maybe the lemon used. It’s probably only these two....maaaaaybe the Vanilla Pudding, but maybe not. Oh, and some sweetener. Of course.

Probably. If they got a proprietary flavoring from Chemnovatic, they probably used all their flavorings to complete the recipe. Possibly even got CNV to create the recipe and give it to them as a whole thing.

Oh for sure, it's very good all on it's lonesome. I've been dripping the 10ml I made and it's very good. I've been dripping their strait Lemon flavor on the same wick, alternating. I don't think it's the right one but maybe it could be? I just got FW Lemon Meringue Pie today for the first time. It smells a lot like it (Dinner Lady LT). Still haven't tasted it.

Consider Molinberry, as well. CNV is MB’s parent company......

No, I saw it. Just we have a different type of humour here which I seriously keep on a leash on this site. But it can be difficult to get if its a joke or not with other countries. I've read many posts here that honestly I've got no idea whats going on. I have got into trouble in the past on outdoor sites from overseas thinking something was a joke so added to it just to find out I'd offended people then was totally ignored by them all. Other times thinking something was serious then them thinking im an idiot.
So now when I'm not sure I ask.

I dunno, a lot of us here have pretty dry or ironic humor. Plus, if you let loose with your Ozzie humor, if anyone here was offended, they’d prolly just ask you what you were playing at!

Well, some posts here I have no idea what’s going on, especially if they’re dealing with films or television stuff which I don’t watch or haven’t seen.

So relax, and if you want to joke, go ahead.

:D I've learnt over time ours at times does not go down to well in certain countries, especially the US. Not saying the US hasn't any, I love it and the funny tv shows. Hey, I love it here! But, nope, been there, done that, got dissed and not liked too often and learnt my lesson. It's staying on it's leash. ;)
Im happy as it is.

Hmm. I don’t watch our mainstream television. I don’t think it’s funny or clever. Some crime stuff is okay, but since we get Brit Box, I don’t bother.

I don’t want to lead you astray humor wise, but it’d be nice to hear what a wise crack from you would sound like!

I'll agree that most of the modern stuff these days is rubbish. I do like Malcolm in the middle.
Old Seinfelds, Frasier. Have some laughs over those. The new stuff from here, there and elsewhere I find just dumb and lacking real humour and just relying on stupidity.
All of our own TV supposed funny shows now just rely on stupid and smut, no actual intelligent humour. I hate modern TV full stop apart from some news shows, movies and docos. Im not old, but am old school. Here in the bush where I am we are very happily behind the city life garbage most are now living here in our capitals. I utterly loath going to Melbourne. Have not been there in over a year even though its our state capital. Hopefully wont ever need to either.
Rant over. :D

There are a few snowflakes around the forum, they do exist and make their presence felt from time to time. I'd like to think, though, that most of us are pretty resilient, and try to keep in mind that it's much harder to get someone's meaning from just a post than it would be if we had eye contact and body language and all the other signals to go by.

We'll get to know you and you'll get to know us over time, perhaps one of these days you'll feel comfortable to express yourself more naturally. In real life, I'm a fairly brash and sarcastic person, and these folks seem to have learned to interpret me just fine. :) I definitely tried to mind my manners at first, but gradually I've felt more and more comfortable.

We find even that in different areas of our own country, styles of humor and the degree to which people are outspoken (or not) varies a lot. It's always a learning process, adjusting, asking questions, sometimes even misinterpreting and allowing the viewpoints of others to put things right.

I've been glad to see you posting. We especially need people in the DIY areas; anyone new who steps in always has something to contribute to the general store of knowledge and experience. That's especially important now, to those of us in the US, since it appears that multitudes more people will need to learn how to mix their own (and perhaps build their own) pretty damn quickly, what with FDA regs on the near horizon. If memory serves you are under some tight restrictions in Oz, so perhaps you have already made this adjustment.

I talk to Aussies everyday, I work with a bunch and have a few good friends. It's the dryness of your humor that escapes us sometimes. That and the slang is very unique so we truly don't understand some words. I'm currently listening to a podcast from down there and it's hard at times and I've been talking and listening to them for 25 years.

No worries.

I want to try @DonBaldy 's Butter Pecan cake soon. Love me some butter pecan.
Wait.....Butter pecan cake? How did I miss that? Or is my memory so poor that I’ve forgotten about such a glorious sounding recipe? For that matter, I’m sure I commented on it and still forgot. :giggle:

For the month of March, use '7Years' to get a 27% discount from Chef's Flavours. Time for you US folks to stock up on those hard to get FA flavors.

Thanks for sharing this. I placed my first order with Chef's just now - the discount was enough to cover the shipping!

I'm referring to the FA flavors like Custard Premium, Milk and Burro that aren't sold in the US but are in the UK.

and VTA Dessicated Coconut, that I can't live without now! :teehee:

I didn't get the FA Butter (was out of stock in the Flavour Creative, I didn't even look at FA, not that big a deal to me), but got Custard Premium and MTS Vape Wizard, plus VTA Blood Orange Champagne, Chocolate Custard, Dessicated Coconut, Grapefruit, and Walnut, and JF Sweet and Sour Purple Drink, which was on clearance for super cheap. Total shipped cost was right at $20. (Several of these were 30mls.)

Is the Wizard flavor like a smoother? Wow, $20 is excellent. I figured it would be more. I should look.

Thanks, all you flavor enablers here!

That's my understanding. MTS=Mellow, Thick, and Smooth I haven't used it before, but gonna try it!

That's why I spelled out how much it cost, because I was surprised, too. I thought the shipping would be more. What I did was calculate the shipping several times to find out where the "breakpoint" was between about $5.50 and about $9.00. One bottle of flavor makes that difference. So I kept it to the number of flavors that would fit in the lower shipping cost.

That's interesting. I have mine shipped to the UAE and I'm always charged a flat rate regardless of the size of the order. I'll take a look at that dessicated coconut...it's hard finding good ones.

@wildgypsy70 shared some of her VTA DC with me, and it is the best coconut I've tried by far, even better than Flavorah Sweet Coconut imo, although it does work well layered with Flv SC.

I use the MTS with flavors/mixes I know will have a bit of "harsh" to them. Watermelon in larger percentages especially. You need very little in my experience. I use 1 drop per 10ml
