So, I’m working in a chai spice RY4 and a crème brûlée custard/cake(new Caps for this one) and a coconut berry yogurt drink.

The chai spice will have two versions….one with more common flavorings and one with some hard to get/$$$(looking at you Medicine Flower) flavors.

Oh. And an almond cake with a meringue topping. Got the idea from Pinterest.😊
The Creme Brulee Custard Cake sounds yummy! Let us know your results :inlove:

Google is showing DIY Vapor Supply as having OOO, 10ml bottles start at about $2.95. They have quite a lot of the OOO flavors.

From what I've seen in the past, that free Prime shipping still doesn't offset the high prices that Amazon sellers generally charge for flavors. What I've noticed though has been mostly Capella flavors.

I agree (about amazon)... stick to the regular vape flavor vendors.
Also, you have to be very aware of what is "vape safe".
I mixed up my usual tobacco mix yesterday (internet was down last night so no post)
I just want to mention it because (almost from day one) it has been a morning ritual with me (vaping tobacco flavors) Even before doing DIY, I would mix Vape Wild Wrangler + RY4. My brain needs that first thing in the morning (and coffee) After that, I switch up flavors.
Really want to try my new "peanut butter cup" recipe but realized that tank needs a new coil soon so using up the last of what I have (new recipe deserves a new coil)

Hey @wildgypsy70 , are you using FLV chai flavor? I think I asked this before... TFA was really just clove... didn't like it much.
I am. It’s quite nice. Not clove heavy. Would like a little more ginger, but that’s easy to remedy. Probably the best chai spice flavoring out there.

Tried the "peanut butter cup"... it's fine. I realized Molinberry (MB) Smores if you read the fine print says its a brownie with toasted marshmallow. Will not add cookie because it seems to already have a bakery note... BUT... going a different direction. Adding WF banana puree (my mind went to childhood memories... do this often with flavors) the county fair and the frozen bananas dipped in chocolate and rolled in peanuts. Keep in mind vape juice doesn't know the difference... as long as the flavors work together!
Basically 3 % each of MB smores and TFA peanut butter dx. Will up date on the banana soon.

A lot of different ones in that mix of flavors, eh Howard?

I've hardly mixed at all for about the last year. Your list makes me envious. I've just got too much juice already, need to use a good bit of it up!

It is very easy indeed to amass a large amount of juice when you love to mix. I try to restrain myself these days & mix every 3 or 4 months. Instead of the 60 ml I used to mix, I go 120 now. with just half as many choices. I hadn't mixed anything really new since February, so it was time to try & get to at least 6 of the 15ml mixes of new & works in progress.
Can you tell me more about this one?

It's one of several donut vapes I really like. It starts with both FW Glazed Donut & FA Wow. It also uses mostly TFA Raspberry Sweet for the candy taste with just a touch of the more realistic-tasting FA. I think it's a nice combination. The meringue & sweet cream almost always find their way into my donut mixes, so they were naturals. The whipped cream helps keep things light.

Thank you (I actually found it myself on ELR) My closet substitute is WF flapper pie (light custard and meringue) I have SSA raspberry syrup that I really like. Actually... my entire recipe is going to be subs (I don't even have a donut) I have RF french toast, WF croissant and JF yellow cake... any suggestions?

I really don't think those would work as subs for this recipe, but that doesn't mean you can't make something good out of them. If you're interested in a profile like this, you'll want to check out some doughnut flavor options. I have at least 6 different doughnut flavors because each one is different (but still have their place).

Did some quick mixing:
added WF banana puree to my test batch of peanut butter s'mores (going to try that tonight)
It's been awhile so I mixed my peach/mango/apricot with cream.
Still loving my lemon/licorice/butter mint with marshmallow so mixed up more.
Took a chance and did a "sort of" raspberry donut. (similar to the raspberry layer cake I make but used french toast and croissant instead of cake)
Getting my first social security payment next month... hoping to order a bunch of flavors.

in order, L to R

Butterscotch Cream
Raspberry Cream
Chai RY4
Swedish cake i found on Pinterest(almond cake with meringue topping)
Boysenberry Yogurt Drink
Creme Brulee Pie

Phew!!!

I didn't want to admit this (HH was right)... my raspberry "donut" was a fail. Basically (don't know why I was surprised) it was french toast. Even worse... some of the flavors did not work well together. My basic raspberry "layer" cake is much better (and french toast is better with boysenberry)
Thank goodness my other two mixes are tried and true ones.

Please do tell (I'm getting butterscotch ripple soon... sure I will enjoy the SFT but what else might add to it?)
You could any other cream to boost that(my favorite is usually an ice cream). Maybe a little extra butterscotch or caramel to really push the experience. But it really is a good flavor all by itself. Totally worth every penny.

Just a quick mix (cappuccino with hazelnut) Needed something to replace my (failed) raspberry "donut". I've been choking that down (wasn't bad enough to toss down the drain) but did not enjoy it. A quick "flush" of the tank and will move on. I'm kind of done experimenting (for awhile) and going to stick to recipes I like (and mix larger batches)

A quick update…..

Chai RY4 has a lot of potential. Needs a little tweaking, but worthy of more exploration.

Boysenberry yogurt drink also has a lot of potential. Might need a little rounding out, but very good where it’s at.

Swedish cake thingy needs work. A lot of work. It’s too dry and the almond doesn’t shine enough.

Crème brûlée pie needs more custardy goodness. And I need to figure out the maple note I’m getting…..which isn’t a terrible thing, right?

Butterscotch cream needs a little more work.

Raspberry cream needs more cream. Maybe some HS Cream or something like that.

So yeah, that’s where I’m at. Some success and some failure. Typical DIY.

@wildgypsy70 , chai RY4 sounds interesting.
Which boysenberry? (I love WF boysenberry raspberry)
Love almond but haven't tried it in a vape... will be following the progress on that.
Love maple so no problem with that.
Do you like "booze" flavors? Maybe VT light rum with the butterscotch cream?
I do a raspberry "layer" cake... SSA raspberry syrup, JF yellow cake and WF bavarian cream.
Haven't tried the "cream filling" you gave me but that might help (and a mild cake like in my recipe)

If you get that Butterscotch Cream dialed in, please share. I've tinkered with butterscotch several times over the years & it has always been frustrating. I currently have a Butterscotch Custard (V5) I've been messing with since 2017 tweaked & ready to mix next round (probably January). It's got FW Butterscotch & Butterscotch Ripple, along with LA Bavarian Cream, FLV Vanilla Pudding, CAP Vanilla Custard & a little bit of TFA Vanilla Cupcake.

I found a store-bought juice that I just adore, that has some great butterscotch in it. It's King's Crest Duchess Reserve. Omg that stuff is so good, it's downright decadent. It's actually Tres Leches cake with butterscotch.

Maybe if you could search up a well-rated clone recipe online somewhere, you could get some ideas. I haven't tried any of them, but I sure would if I ran across a good one - once my store-bought stuff is mostly used up.

This is my all-time favorite recipe from Nick Evans for Butterscotch Ice Cream, I have subbed the LB Vanilla Ice Cream with SSA’s Ice Cream Vanilla (more cost efficient) & both work.View attachment 197524
i have mixed this recipe too and it’s excellent but then most of Nevans recipes are. He’s one of my favourite mixers and I know you like him too as I’ve seen you in the comments section on ELR many times lol.

I will. Still dialing in. Butterscotch is harder than caramel. I have no idea why.☹️

I wonder if some Butter Pecan or Praline would give it a good bump? Actually Praline might be just the thing.
You may be right. I was heading in the direction of Dulce de Leche.

For the Duchess clones, a few have added FW Butter Pecan for richness.

I looked up any Duchess Reserve clones out there. A few promising ones, but I’m not a fan of TFA or Caps Vanilla Custard, which was the thing back then. All use FW Tres Leches, FW Graham Cracker and one of the FW Butterscotches. Most use FW French Vanilla, which I don’t have, surprisingly. Even Wayne Walker and Folkart took a run at it.

I might just have to use FA custard Premium. Or TFA Vanilla Custard II. I’ve never had the OG, which is a bummer. Sounds like a fabulous juice!

TFA Cupcake…..interesting. Might bump the cake and the creaminess in one go. Huh. I considered FW Creamy Sponge Cake.

Ok. Just threw together a quickie Duchess remix. Looking through all the remixes out there, I cobbled together a starting point that hopefully will be good. Lol. I read that Tres Leches needs a steep, so I’ll report back.

FW Butterscotch(natural) 2%
FA Custard Premium 2%
FW Graham Cracker 1%
FW Hazelnut 0.5%
OoO Marshmallow(vanilla) 1.5%
FW Tres Leches 2%

Like everyone has said, Caps VCV1 is probably the base custard, considering it was in every damn juice out there. I’m not a fan, so I went with FA Custard Premium. FW Butterscotch would probably do just as well as Butterscotch Natural. I’m 100% sure OoO wasn’t in there, but I can’t find my TFA or FA right now and I don’t have FW cause people said it smelled like baby powder. Someone mentioned that it was probably an all FW recipe, except for the Caps VCV1, which was fairly typical for commercial juice at the time. Either way, we’ll see what happens…….

Hi fellow Nevans fan, lol! Indeed I generally love all of his recipes! I hope his ejuice business is going well. He’s been busy with that I’m sure.

Since I fell out of the FB groove I don’t get to speak to Nick at all anymore :(

If you’ll still active on FB could you please tell him  for me? thanks!

So far, the Duchess “remix” is steeping quite nicely. I have no idea how Duchess Reserve really tastes, lol, so I’m shooting in the dark, but this recipe is good! If you have the flavors, give it a shot!

I did a little tweaking to the Chai RY4 that I hope will remedy what I thought was wrong with it. Made a big bottle of the Boysenberry Yogurt Drink. Think I have a good Butterscotch Cream, but I’m going to wait on another opinion.

Anyone entering the BCF contest?
