How cool... Vape Wild did mystery flavors and the next month you could look it up and find out what it is. That was fun. They often gave you one or two free flavors (in little 10 ml botlles) with your order. I miss those guys (and gals)

Me, too. I loved ordering from them. They had those mystery flavors, plus nice, heavy VW ziplock bags that were really handy for storage. They were also really good at customer service.

Butterscotch cream needs a little more work.
I have several different Butterscotch Cream mixes.

Here are a couple. Maybe you'll see an idea you like that you can add to your recipe. Or... make one of mine!!! ;-)

FW Butterscotch Ripple 3%
FA Butterscotch 2.5%
FA Caramel 1.5%
FA Madagascar Vanilla 2%
FLV Cream 1%
WF Vanilla Cream Extra 1%

and...

FW Butterscotch Ripple 3.5%
FA Butterscotch 2%
FW Natural Butterscotch 1%
FA Caramel 2%
FA Madagascar Vanilla 2%
INW Shisha Vanilla 1%
FLV Cream 1%

Both are butterscotch forward, nice and creamy, the creams and vanillas sit slightly back in the mix. I have several variations of those. My time with butterscotch and caramel flavors goes back many years.

IMHO... FW Butterscotch Ripple needs the help of one or more butterscotch flavors for a decent tasting and well rounded butterscotch profile. Caramel further enhances butterscotch, that's why it is there. Sidenote: butterscotch also enhances caramels. SSA Milky Caramel Fudge also enhances butterscotch or caramel.

To make either one of those recipes more interesting, and more complex tasting, add a couple bakery flavors. I've used many with those two. Recently I've used one or two of the following... CAP Nut Muffin, FW White Cake, CAP Custard Cake, WF Fluffy White Cake, JF Biscuit, FA Cookie. Add 0.5% CAP Cake Batter for moistness and an additional flavor note.

I mean, you know, any bakery flavor(s) will work.

My butterscotch cake recipe...

CAP Nut Muffin 2%
CAP Custard Cake 1.5%
SSA Clotted Cream 1.5%
FA Cream Fresh 0.75%
FA Butterscotch 2%
WF Butterscotch Cream Pie 1.25%
SSA Milky Caramel Fudge 1.5%

These recipes look great! And all the great ideas! Thank you!

I definitely plan on mixing the butterscotch cake recipe. Nice use of Caps Nut Muffin/Custard Cake combo as the cake base. I have to check to see if I have the Clotted Cream, but I’m pretty sure I do.

Nice to see you back!

Good to know (I am getting FW butterscotch ripple) I'll try the FA butterscotch too.
SSA Milky Caramel Fudge also enhances butterscotch or caramel.
That sounds good to add to a coffee recipe.

I have a new routine for peach mixes (not including pie that I also love):
I make peach/mango/apricot (and add something creamy), vape half of that, then add kiwi and watermelon and more unflavored base. Vaping that right now. I will take a break from this routine and make some more peach pie (I have that down good)

Don't forget the candy. My orders always had a hard candy, and a Vape Wild sticker, and a business card.

You're welcome!!!

If you don't have SSA Clotted Cream... WF SC Vanilla Cream Extra 1.5% or FLV Cream 1% would work nicely.

But, that SSA Clotted Cream... mmmmm, really good!!! 👍

SSA Whipped Cream 1% will work, although it would add an interesting, but pleasant, twist to the overall profile.

INW Vanilla Cream 1%. Or even VTA Vanilla Cream 1.5%.

Lol, just thinking of some alternatives for you.

finally got around to making some new stuff. this one has only steeped a couple days but I'm already loving it
1665584783767.png

sweet, cakey, marzipan goodness with a slight hint of strawberry. it reminds me of some specific dessert, but I can't figure out what. trying to incorporate some of my lesser used flavors to make some solid recipes. This one was marzipan, princess cake, and vanilla bourbon

Just curious... have you tried JF yellow cake? It's very mellow (unlike FA yellow cake that was heavy on DAPs) Just a thought... it's the only cake I have but very versatile.
I do have that one. I am a firm believer in having almost all the cakes and cookies. I acquired quite a lot of flavorings over the course of my first year mixing. I’m somewhere over 400 now and it’s hard to remember to work with some of the stuff that is still good, just maybe not as popular of a flavoring.

Filling my cart at BCF... ordering next week. I need a good donut... suggestions?
Is WF crumble topping as good as it sounds? Thinking of trying FA maple syrup (for french toast) Can't wait to try FW butterscotch ripple. Most of the other flavors are re-stocking my usual ones. Oh and as many of you suggested, trying INW shisha vanilla.
I want to make POG (passion fruit/orange/guava) and have the clone recipe for that but might just go ahead and guy it from the local shop (to support them) It's Naked brand. Like all pre-made juices, it's strong and too sweet (so I just add some cream and dilute it with unflavored base)

So... it looks like I'm holding out for a LB order (must haves: Wayne's Water Malone and LB white chocolate peppermint) Quik was also nice but now I like RF strawberry milkshake better (that was one of my blast from the past childhood memory things... and fit the bill but over that now) any other "one-shots" or LB flavors I should look into?

Have decided on WF glazed donut (I know CAP is also popular but have had really good results with WF)
I also want to order from FJ (JF?) just to get FE lemon... anything else from them I should try?
It sucks having to make 3 different orders from 3 different places (and also DIYFS... does it ever end?) I feel like I'm going down the rabbit hole and the rabbit is pulling my leg deeper and deeper.

I would drop the dragonfruit (nothing against it... just feel it's not needed) and add something creamy.
Considering WF dragonfruit as a sub (Chef on Developed loves it!)

On a side note (and I have my mind set on this) there are two other flavors I must have:
VSO blueberry
MF black cherry
Somehow I will get these (any other VSO or MF flavors I should consider?)

I would pick up WF Glazed Donut and Bread(sweet). Makes a really nice glazed donut. I’ve also heard good things about FA’s Donut(the new one). I have it but haven’t had time to work with it yet.

INW Shisha Vanilla is amazing. A great bakery vanilla. Kinda thick, for a vanilla. Deep and full. My favorite one.

MF….hmmmmm. Wild Raspberry? Lemon? I’ve heard their vanilla is to die for. And their wild blueberry. I grabbed a few when Nic River was still up and running. Also picked up butterscotch, caramel and coffee.

VSO….all of their flavors have been pretty good, so far. They’re good for “base”. Most of them need high notes, except for Blueberry, the only one, imo, that can stand alone. They’ve got a good espresso? Apricot?

Yep... that is in my cart for sure!
LB Vanilla Ice Cream?
I know it's good but quite happy with SSA for now.
I have good berry flavors (including raspberry) and holding out for FE Lemon (have a few to get me buy for now) I have heard so many good things about VSO (I have held out for months for the blueberry!)
As usual... thank you for the advice.

I have held out so song for a sweetener (and made the mistake of getting LB... it just EM)
Wanted FLV sweetness (it may be the best but expensive) so going for FW... I don't really need much anyway (it's like salt... you get used to less)

I mentioned MF black cherry (I hate most cherry flavors... cough syrup) but remember liking "black cherry" lifesavers. MF is crazy expensive but I have been assured (by several people) it's the best.

So... it seems two things I like (water malone and POG) use TFA dragonfruit (that I've tried before... very versatile but just tastes like "juicy fruit" gum to me) Looks like I might as well order all the flavors to make both myself (of course) I actually already have the double apple that seems to be the "special" ingredient in water malone. BCF cart is filling up quickly (good... they have cheap shipping and I want to support them anyway)

I have and use all the vanilla flavors regularly. INW Shisha Vanilla is a favorite. I never use it over 1%. IMHO it's a brighter tasting vanilla compared to something like FA Vanilla Bourbon (not an alcohol flavor!). FA Vanilla Bourbon is a darker more earthy vanilla.

There are many very useful and excellent vanilla flavors. No two are alike.

Off the top of my head a few of my favorite MF flavors are:

Peach
Guava
Caramel
Strawberry
Green Apple
Dark Chocolate

Lol, I'd have to look at my MF collection for more.

Each of the above are very accurate to their real life counterparts.

MF Dark Chocolate is regarded as the King/Queen of chocolates. It can be made into something less than a dark chocolate using other flavors. As in, mid-point dark chocolate down to nearly that of a milk chocolate.

Their caramel is one of the best caramel flavors around.

Nearly all MF flavors are super ultra concentrates. Their guava only requires 2-3 drops in a 30ml for full flavor.

All MF flavors require long steep times. Minimum 4 weeks. Some come to life after 6 weeks.

Speaking of doughnuts, here is one of my recipes. I have other doughnut recipes but will have to look through my notebooks for those.

Chocolate Crumb Doughnut

Screen shot 2022-10-17 at 8.15.38 PM.png

VTA Chocolate Mousse 2.25%
WF Bread (Sweet) 1.5%
WF Cream Puff 1.2%
FA Breakfast Cereal 0.5%

Optional: CAP Super Sweet 0.25%

Suggested steep time: 3-4 weeks 30mls / 10-14 days 10mls

It's a very simple mix but smooth and tasty.

WF Bread (Sweet) and WF Cream Puff create the doughnut base. Cream Puff adds creaminess and a nice pastry note to the doughnut base. It also adds moistness to what otherwise would be a drier vape.
I've also made this using 0.5% CAP Cake Batter for additional moistness and for that unique flavor note it offers.

A note on WF Bread (Sweet): It is sweet only in the way a typical French bread like a brioche is. It's not a sugary kind of sweet. A brioche gets its sweetness from unsalted butter and eggs which are added to the dough.

FA Breakfast Cereal serves as the crumb topping and a light crust for the doughnut base. It's tucked away nicely so as not to be experienced as a cereal.

VTA Chocolate Mousse was the perfect choice for the chocolate. It's not quite a semi-sweet chocolate but leans more in that direction. The creaminess of WF Cream Puff pulls it more towards a mid-point chocolate. IMO it is one of the better chocolate flavors in DIY.

I also tried 0.6% SSA Ripe Coconut with this mix. It adds another tasty note to the overall profile.

If you don't want to spend the money on MF consider SSA Ripe Cherry and/or SSA Compote Cherry. Both are excellent. For info on each - check out SessionDrummer's notes on ELR, Reddit or ECF. He may have posted those here as well (search?).

They key to using cherry flavors is to go VERY lightly. Start with a single drop or two in a mix. Add to taste. Going light with a cherry will not produce the "cough syrup" effect. Go heavy and yes, you will end up with cough syrup.

If you go with MF's I would only add one drop to 30mls to start. And even that will need a lengthy steep. All MF flavors require long steep times.

Good luck!!!

Yes it is. Versatile. Highly recommended!

Thinking of trying FA maple syrup (for french toast)
It's a very accurate maple flavor. Sweet. Go lightly, like 0.5% to start, adjust to taste.

Another excellent syrup is VTA Golden Syrup. I've used it in a few recipes. It is not nearly as sweet as FA Maple Syrup.

holding out for FE Lemon
One of the better lemons. Won't fade.

It sucks having to make 3 different orders from 3 different places
Lol, only three? That's nothing.

Wait until you start ordering from MF direct, DIY Vapor Supply, Chef's (UK) and Nom Nomz (UK).
And a handful of others. Lolz

Yes... I am aware of this (and why they are not as expensive as they seem... a little goes a long way)
I'm still holding out for the black cherry.

BCF is amazing (as usual) got my order today! First thing I'm going to do is make some butterscotch ripple.
Oh dang... just realized I'm out of unflavored base. Going to be busy tomorrow.
On a side note: mixed MB lemon tart (with extra lemons and WF flapper pie) It's so good (put in a new coil for that one) The lemon tart has plenty of bakery (almost too much... that's why I added flapper pie and more lemon) I am also going to do a SFT of WF crumble topping. Most of the other flavors are re-stock or for the POG recipe so won't be doing my usual SFT of all of them. WF passion fruit is a sub in the POG recipe so need to guess on the % for that one. Also... have never used sweetener (got used to NOT using it) but got FW so any advice on % (I still don't want much sweetness)?

For the sweetener, 0.5% or less. Maybe even 0.35% or less. I like FW sweetener.
