Yes ...that is a possible scenario...and yet as Regan said trust but verify, and I would accept this idea if it wasn't for the fact that Trump was being more aggressive on the rest of his campagin promises if he was fighting the DNC alot harder than he is....why isn't the mayor of L.A. and S.F. in jail...why does some little gnome of a woman in a remote town in Kentucky get jailed for refusing to give out marrigae licesnse to gay couples, and yet the Mayors of major cities can break the law with impunity.
Wouldn't it have been far better to let the globalist propoganda mills bang the war drum with lies...and then had Trump prove they were lying and illustrate to the people how the globalist manufacture wars, and show the world we will not be led into war for the profit of the central banks...even bombs cost money and political grandstanding has never brought anyone back from the dead.
Because he needs a full SCOTUS to start tossing mayors and governors in jail over immigration..... he also needs time to get some of his polices in place before pissing off more than half the country more. CALIFORNIA is digging it's own grave. Why would he give them cover? Politically.

Well, unlike Trump, I stand by my convictions. He said he would stay out of Syria and he lied. I said if he lied I would drop my support and I have. Unlike Trump, I have self respect for my word. If I say something, I mean it.
I know that's not common among Republitards, that like libtards will forgive their own sides lies while complaining about the other sides lies, but I'm not a Republitard. I supported Trump on his word and on his word alone. He broke his word and I have broken my support. That's how things work for people who value honesty. I keep my promises. I'm done with Trump.
A full SCOTUS was not necessary, consolidation of power was. By striking the empty airbase he was applauded by left, taking wind out of impeachment sails, fostered cooperation w/ Neocons & Never Trumpers, sent a thinly veiled message to Lil' Kim & China (even though it was laughable as a threat), & gained time to plan next moves.
Tillerson's call for Regime change could be negotiating tactic for partitioning & safe zones to send refugees back to camps in.
Trump betrayed his base, but he may think it was a necessary evil to gain advantage.

I'll give. Him benefit of doubt for now & even support partitioning for pipelines and Safe Zone camps to send refugees to in their own country. If throwing them a bone allows him to deftly sidestep a war while gaining trust to consolidate his power & further his goals before returning to expose them I'm for it but it is a very dangerous game.

I think the press, and the neocons, latched on to sarin because sarin is more difficult to make. Chlorine is easy to get and it's more likely the rebel terrorists could have made it. Thus giving Assad and Russia reasonable doubt. There is less doubt if it's sarin.
They don't want the idea out there that the rebels could have made the gas.

w/o first verifying the intelligence reports was only his most recent broken promise
as well as a REACTIONARY decision which could have easily drawn US into an unwinnable war
