So what do we do... pull out of all foreign envolvments.. recall all ground troops to US bases on US soil and limit the Navy to patrolling the 12 mile zone.

I thought the cut and run pull out of Iraq was a bad thing... now you want to do in planet WIDE?

I agree we should not be as envolved in the ME as we are... but we are.....but we can't just pick up our toys and go home? Can we? Would that make anything better..... Fact us in order to get out of the ME Trump is going to have to do things he said he was against doing. Or he will start WW3.. see inaction is just as dangerous if not more than action. This is not Nascar... sometimes you have go in the other direction to reach a goal.

Oh I missed this one.
Yeah! Unless an attack is sanctioned by the United Nations Security Council
it's illegal as long as we US claims to be a member of said UN and it's Security Council.
The alleged gas attack has yet to be investigated
so Trump's decision was not only illegal as per international law
it was also RASH and based on the hearsay of rebels.
As I've pointed out elsewhere
Syria is a sovereign nation which HAS NOT attacked the USA
The USA has no business there because they were not invited by the legitimate government of Syria, Russia was.

Yes, we should pick up our toys and go home.
Those 59 Tomahawk missiles which we (US) delivered to a sovereign nation which has not attacked US
cost an estimated $60 Million:
http://www.marketwatch.com/story/th...eplace-the-tomahawks-used-in-syria-2017-04-07
which could have been used to replace and/or rebuild
large parts of our (US) infrastructure (which is falling apart) or be spent on job training and myriad other necessities.

The USA is falling apart. There are protestors in all the major cities
and Black Lives Matter bitching and urging that all whites be killed.
We are getting damn near close to having our very own Civil War v2
but instead of fixing our problems we're all over the world, mostly uninvited, fixing everybody's problems
(whether they like it or not) while spewing the overused line of bullshit that we're defending Americans.

Donald Trump ran on an isolationist campaign, he made promises that he would put America first, MAGA!
But first opportunity he gets he puts Syria first, double crosses many of the people who voted for him
AND makes himself out to be a major hypocrite:
http://time.com/4730219/syria-missile-attack-donald-trump-tweets/
"Before he was president, Donald Trump wrote that the U.S. should not bomb Syria in a number of tweets from 2013 to 2014.As the White House ordered strikes on Syria late Thursday, several of those old tweets were recirculating on Twitter, especially two in which he called for congressional approval before launching any military actions against the Middle Eastern country."

Why? Because his daughter's hubby said so.

Would you let some dude calling himself a mechanic but driving a total piece of shit
rust bucket that he has to argue with and push start fix YOUR RIDE?
Bet not.
So considering that American citizens in the US can barely afford to buy food let alone pay for their medical insurance,
our streets are riddled with crime ranging from rape to robbery to murder,
and people are rioting in the streets, cops being shot and killed, ETC
It behooves US to ask WTF are we doing "helping" other countries instead of fixing our own.
FIX US FIRST!

Then, if necessary, BOMB the fuck out the Middle East, kill them all and let the Zionists sort them out,
but don't sacrifice anymore American lives, here or there until we "get'
just what Luke 4:23, " And he said unto them, Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country." means...
Before attempting to correct others, make sure that you aren't guilty of the same faults.

AND if he's going to call himself a "Christian" and pay lip service to the gospel then
Matthew 23 should be his guide and not some Zionist son of Sam by the name Kushner
Matt 23:
A Warning Against Hypocrisy
23 Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples: 2 “The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. 3 So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach. 4 They tie up heavy, cumbersome loads and put them on other people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.
5 “Everything they do is done for people to see: They make their phylacteriesa]">[a] wide and the tassels on their garments long; 6 they love the place of honor at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogues; 7 they love to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces and to be called ‘Rabbi’ by others.
8 “But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers. 9 And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. 10 Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Messiah. 11 The greatest among you will be your servant. 12 For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.

If Donald Trump had said that he planned to bomb the fuck out whatever country in the middle east
and I had voted for him then cool. But that isn't what he said...

PS; Your NASCAR analogy is silly, we've been going the other way for years

People get gassed... plans change. ;)

Lookit yer avi...Uhmm. Bullshit. A man's word is all he's got. If he had no plans to be a warhawk globalist
and hadn't committed himself to an isolationist MAGA platform then Otay, he made plans. But that isn't what happened.

One of two things happened. Either Trump is a double crossing SOB who spoke with forked tongue
(which I suspected all along 'cause I'm a cynic)
OR he caved to pressure from the pro Zionist military-industrial/banking cartel
and is on his knees sucking on the devil's dick.

Oil has a lot to do with this as usual.

Trump Attack on Syria Violates the Constitution and His Pledges
President Donald Trump's attack on Syria last week was illegal and unconstitutional, legal experts and even many of his leading supporters argued, noting that the Constitution grants war powers to Congress and not the president. The attack was also contrary to Trump's own repeated pledges on the campaign trail to seek a constitutionally required declaration of war prior to launching military interventions abroad. In fact, Trump was a fierce critic of Obama's lawless and unconstitutional military machinations in Syria and the broader Middle East, which was among the key reasons so many Americans rallied behind his campaign. But now, the tables have apparently turned.

The Trump administration used a highly dubious legal explanation to justify its illegal attacks on a sovereign nation that did not attack the United States. “It is in this vital national security interest of the United States to prevent and deter the spread and use of deadly chemical weapons,” Trump said after he ordered the attack, prompting outrage from many of his most loyal supporters. At first, in an unsourced document meant to help his officials answer questions, the administration cited various alleged violations of “international law” by the Assad regime for supposedly using chemical weapons. After the missiles began flying, though, instead of relying on “international law,” the White House legal office improperly invoked Article II of the U.S. Constitution

In the invocation of Article II of the U.S. Constitution, the administration offered no specifics on how any of that language could possibly be interpreted as allowing the president to take military action without permission from Congress. Instead, the dubious “legal” justification cited the idea of promoting America's alleged “national interest” — a phrase that appears nowhere in Article II or anywhere else in the Constitution — as the basis for the attack. And according to the rationale, the “national interest” in bombing Syria was the notion that the attack would help in “promoting regional stability, which the use of chemical weapons threatens.”

“No authorization from Congress is necessary,” the talking points distributed by the Trump administration asserted, falsely. “The U.S. strikes were a justified use of force because of several factors, including promoting regional stability, discouraging the use of chemical weapons, and protecting a civilian population from humanitarian atrocities.” Of course, the Constitution does not authorize the president to take military action for any of those reasons without a declaration of war from Congress. Only Congress, under Article I, Section 8, has the constitutional authority to “declare War.”

Before becoming president, Trump understood that clearly, and indicated it publicly on numerous occasions. “The President must get Congressional approval before attacking Syria — big mistake if he does not,” Trump wrote on social media in August of 2013, following a false-flag attack perpetrated by Obama's jihadist rebels aimed at blaming Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad. Trump was also fiercely critical of Obama's warmongering and lawlessness regarding the Middle Eastern nation. “What will we get for bombing Syria besides more debt and a possible long term conflict?” he asked on Twitter that same month. “Obama needs Congressional approval.” It was true then, and it is still true now.
--------------------------------------

ETC..go read it.
I understand that the subtle nuances of Constitutional Law as well as International Law
may escape the more fanatical...
and be purposely overlooked by ..some fishy trolls
BUT, the facts speak for themselves.

Yes, but dead babies! :(

Besides, war might be too strong a word... It was a 90 second attack. ;)
We just slapped some little tyrant down and sent a message to another.
And at 1.4 million per pop fires 59 missiles that put an airfield out of action for 2 days.
And killed 2-3 people.

Yup, plans change. I, and many like me, had planned to make Trump a two term President. Trump changed his plans, and our plans.

Trump barely won this time. Fucking his own supporters wasn't a good idea. There is no reason to support him over any other neocon. Grahmcracker ran for president as a neocon warmonger, nobody of note voted for him. Now Trump's actions, in reverse of his words, show him to be the same.

Mcstain lost as a neocon.
Romney lost as a neocon.
Hitlery lost as a neocon.
Now that Trump has shown himself as a neocon, he will lose. He only won because he lied.

Keep an eye out for the next Dim cause that will be your next President. Republitards can't win without independants.

Amazing how many people see this as some sort of "act of war" it was a perfect opportunity to send a message globally. We had 8 years of bark with no bite, Trump showed if push comes to shove we are no longer muzzled. I supported him through the Primaries and obviously during the general election, i still do. It is way too early to try and claim him to be anything other than what he said he was. Libtards wanted to have the warmonger of a Hildabeast. Anybody who is worried needs to break out their coloring book and princess castle pop up tent and grab their hot coco

I like to bring up how Obama embraced and expanded the Bush Doctrine. They try to tell me I'm nuts and and have no idea what I'm talking about. I then proceeded to bring up his expansion of the Patriot Act, Warrantless Wire Tapping, the NDAA, Libya, Syria, Drone War, INS raids and deportations up 25%, etc. That pretty much puts them in their place but they then try to bullshit their way and I'll just roll my eyes and tell them they should wake up and walk away.

Reality is NOT what you believe or wish it to be.

I voted for Trump because I figure he meant MOST of what he said.....I did not vote for him in primaries...... but i also know he will do ANYTHING within the law.. sometimes on the edge... to get what he wants...... in doing this I also expect he will pissoff me and everyone else many times over the next how ever long he lasts. The hope being he wouldn't piss too many off too often..... I was also realistic about what he could and could not do based on what he said... everything he promised requires an act of congress or constitutional amendment..... unless he breaks at least a couple promises and skirts some laws. So he lied about use of EO.... well duh... Personally I rather he break promises than laws or try making them himself.

Still too soon to say this about Trump way too soon. Syria was a shot across the international "bow" plain and simple. It wasnt an intent that we would go to war, this of course as i see it. Some see it as Trump warmongering, i do not. Time will tell i hope i am right, for everyones sake.

I gave Trump leeway on legislation, as he has to go through Congress. The vast majority of us are well aware Trump has a swamp to wade through domestically.

He is 100% accountable to foreign aggression. No leeway given. His actions are his and his alone.

Media and pundits are tossing around the phrase "one and done" for the Syria strike. They can add the phrase to Trump's term as President.

I must of missed it. I mean, we made Libya great again.

And we made Iraq great again. Colon Powell lays all the "evidence" out for us in three hours.

Of course, there is no investigation in Syria. We get to take the terrorist rebels word for it. Never mind that we bomb the airport that was supposed to have the chemical weapons but we didn't hit any. It's almost like,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,there wasn't any there.

Tillerson is talking about a future Syria that doesn't include Assad and nation building in syria....sounds pretty much like Iraq and Libya to me.
