Law enforcement, for whatever reason, has not been able secure these people rights to assemble. They must protect themselves and their right to assemble if they want to speak. It is not mutual combat. It is one leftist group inciting violence on another group and the other group protecting themselves and their right to assemble.

While you are correct, the right group(s) could just go home and they would not have to defend themselves, it does nothing to defend their right to assemble. They MUST defend their right to assemble, if they want to assemble.

If LE(government) will not secure these rights as given by God(or in my non religious view, by simply existing[nature]) and protected by the Constitution, it falls to the people as directed by the Constitution to secure these rights. If the Government turns on the people as you fear may happen(martial law), the Constitution has provided the right to keep and bear arms to alleviate that situation as well.

In short, the fight against leftist terrorist groups that use the violence of force to shut down the rights of all people to freely speak and assemble is not a simple social fight, it is a fight to retain God given and Constitutionally protected rights. And if the government does not ensure those rights, it is the responsiblity of the people to do it.
