Oh, I'm not disregarding the overall effect globalization attempts have had on Germany at all. Of all the EU nations, Germany has suffered more than any other. However, their current biggest problem is the influx of Islamic extremists. I could be mistaken, but I believe that influx now has Germany passing France with the largest population of Muslims in the EU. Muslim population, no biggie, who cares, but it's the extremists that come in with them that are of huge concern on a global level.
