That is why i am not up in arms..... things he literally said he would do, he is doing... i didnt base any decision of trump based on rhetoric (which some take as promises). opinions about things and plans of doing things are 2 different ball games... A) Changing position does not equate a lie when it was only ever based on rhetoric and not an actual promise. If trump said he hates A but then decides he likes A because of new information he sees from a different perspective well that is not a lie now is it....

No, changing position is not dishonest, assuming it is because new factual information comes to light; however, if it is to garner support from a group of persons without any intention to follow through, than the change of position itself is dishonest.

Not at all... I expect people to say what they mean and mean what they say.
It also shouldn't take a translator to say which version of what the President says is the one that he meant.

I've also been malcontent with the political system for as long as I can remember. Granted, I've paid much more attention since the Obama regime.
You know how corrupt Louisiana politics is. The national scene is even worse. It will continue to be that way for as long as people are willing to accept it.
My point is, just because they all lie, that does not make any one person's lies "ok" or acceptable. Additionally, if you're going to be angry with one for lying, shouldn't that anger be applied to all the liars?

Hell, I deal with liars and cheats for a living. Which may be why I'm so sick and tired of the lying.
At my root though, I can't help but think that a country founded for the people and by the people, can eventually get back to that. At the bare minimum a politician whom we don't have to question where he really stands on things would be refreshing.

That is about as "socialist" as i get is having a fair shake for any qualified candidate regardless of financial status/upbringing/backers also eliminates special interests from being able to prop up one single person to do their bidding and buy votes in senate/house.... But that is a dream and i live in reality

Yes, it would be refreshing..and that's what I hoped for in Trump, but note I said hoped for.
