Reading about neighbors a lot of times online, I noticed a trend was to portray all the negativity. Been living here in what is called "the historic building" for over six months now. Two of my neighbors, three really have done their best to "bring me home".
Went down to the first floor with another third floor neighbor, W, our trek took us to M's apartment. Tonight NXT was on, last night we saw RAW at M's place, tomorrow night we'll look at AEW. There is other stuff aside from the wrestling "watch parties", we all look out for one another.
"Here, I got a deal on some chicken, take this. You got extra beans?"
"Sure, I'll give you the beans but you need to check on my cat tomorrow."
"Deal. You got a doc visit, or out shopping?"
"Visiting A. Not going to be long but you know how the cat gets."
"Alright, if you get more of those shorts, .."
"Bring them up to you, or pass them to W."
"Yeah, and W needs more pop."
"You're going to the store in the morning?"
"I'll get him some pop."
That roughly illustrates three bumbling older fools making their ways through living. There isn't any real conflict, drama, we simply help each other when and if we can. We're at home, all of us. Of course, we also help others living here.
No one asks for a thanks, no one holds a hand out. Help isn't expected. It is nice having it yet we each can do alright to a point. When you can dispel a negative trend it helps the world become better.
Have to agree with former U.S. President Obama, "if we can at least move the needle to better, even a little, we've succeded for the day." Perfection needs imperfection, if there was only perfection it alone would not exist. All is polar, light and dark, life and death, ... there's no splitting the two sides from a same coin.
"You pray for rain, don't curse the mud."
Maybe this helps, maybe it doesn't. Felt compelled nonetheless to at least convey something which has gnawed on me for a bit, I've gnawed back on it too. Well, talked out a bit.
