So I have a problem with Birds his morning. They are trying to build a nest on the small shelf my Echo Dot is on in the backyard under the awning. So far I have removed a nest 4-5 times~! Had to cover it with Chicken Wire and will be going out shortly to check if I stopped them. I saw a Robin sitting on the wires this morning with a big piece of grass or straw in his mouth~!

Personally, I don't mind birdies making nests. I like watching them build them, bringing food to their little nestlings, and to see if I can catch them while they take their first flights.
But, cannot have this enjoyment anymore. Because black snacks have raided the Wrens bird house. I would stay up all night watching for the black snacks and chased of a couple of them. But one would keep coming back, ended up killing the snack.
Even put up wire mesh to try to stop the snakes from getting to the eggs and birdies. I gave up and took the bird house down.

If they want to build a Nest I will try to help protect it but not under the awning where we sit and Eat~! Plus the mess they made was incredible~!

Understand.
The Wrens were clean, I don't know how but they were. Didn't have any poo to clean up. And, they would carry out their young ones poo and drop it off out in the yard.
I don't know how many little twigs I picked up and stuck in the little hole to help them build their nest. It was so cute watching them. Always wondered if they wondered how the heck the twigs made it in, lol.

The Wrens were clean, I don't know how but they were. Didn't have any poo to clean up. And, they would carry out their young ones poo and drop it off out in the yard.
I don't know how many little twigs I picked up and stuck in the little hole to help them build their nest. It was so cute watching them. Always wondered if they wondered how the heck the twigs made it in, lol.

So today I was trying to split some Rounds for Firewood and it was time for lunch. I made Mom and I Turkey Sandwiches and I decided to eat outside. While I was eating I heard a noise out front and went to see what it was and when I came back a Big Black Bird with a Purple Hue landed on the Fire Pit and was about to go for the other half of my Sandwich~! When I went for my seat he looked at me for a while before he made this load noise and then flew away~! I feed the Birds and provide fresh water but they got Spoiled~! They will land on the window sill outside when I am making coffee in the morning~!

Slept a little late this morning and they are Paving my Street which started at 7AM. Less noise then the Damn Planes which come over every 2 minutes~! Today is grinding and in a day or 2the new Asphalt.

I think, you are speaking of Grackles. When living in the city they would eat at the bird feeder or should I say they would scatter the bird seed everywhere. But, they were so entertaining at the fountain especially the young ones as they would play around in the water.. I would put pennies in the fountain, they would pick them up with their beaks and take off with the pennies. They are funny and intelligent birds, but quite messy, lol.

But, if speaking of Starlings, they just need to be shot. They are nasty birds.
