I've been playing around with my latest mod, got the drag2 on sale. My feelings are kind of mixed on it. I'm not unhappy with it but after the hype for the original maybe underwhelmed? I remember all the articles about ooh is the gene chip the next dna killer? Let me just say - ahem, no. Not hardly. If I had to compare the gene chip in the drag2 to something else, I'd say it's about on par with the smok alien.
The mod looks decent, it works. For $20 shipped I'm happy, had I paid $45+ for it I'd have been pissed. Button rattle like crazy, battery door I guess holds on. If it slid around anymore I'd think it was a voopoo too with the slip slide doors. Features? No idea if the fit mode works, I think it's only for their tank/coils that came with it as a kit. It runs in wattage. No voltage option, no puff counter, basic bitch screen (good or bad). Kind of a funky menu system. Temp control so far has been a joke, hits weak as fuck and changing the tcr seems to have no effect at all. So far the istick tc100w, vaporesso revenger, ipv eclipse and vandy swell all outperform it in tc.
I double checked, reset the resistance, set it at room temp, tried adjusting tcr from 1300 for ss (default) in increments from 1200-1600. Clicked 4x and adjusted the wattage in tc mode, doesn't matter. Put it this way, I usually vape around 290-310F. 350f is getting uncomfortably warm for me. I have this turd at 477F/80w (on coils that typically run 60-65w) and it fires like it's around 45w for a power comparison.
So it looks ok, it was cheap, it's a wattage mod. Aka, basic bitch device. Doesn't fire any faster in terms of anything noticeable vs the swell, ipv eclipse or vaporesso revenger. It's fine, it works and for the price it'll be fine for a power mod or backup. Definitely unimpressed. They say it's been 15mo in r&d? Shoulda saved their time. lol.
