Tried mixing up another attempt to recreate my old adv. Well, I succeeded in mixing it, just not quite right. Getting better though. The banana is less barfy so that's something I guess. A little LA banana cream (colorless) and CAP banana with some CAP sweet strawberry, double apple (not entirely sure it's needed), TFA whipped cream and a little vanilla swirl. Thinking the vanilla swirl might've thrown it off a bit too. Banana just isn't right though.

Part of what's been kicking my ass (along with not knowing which direction to start in) is the color. I have a feeling I'll get a similar color if I land on the right ingredients. That wrecking ball I highly doubt was colored, the company's juices were all different colors. Tan, light pink tint almost, honey, completely clear etc. So I figure if I'm not getting the color I'm doing it wrong. Also stumbled across a flavor that might be the oddball thing in it, cherimoya. Described as like a sort of strawberry, apple, pear, green banana type flavor which is exactly what has me mindfucked trying to taste it. The banana is subtle, soft but there and leaning to the green side. Then there's other fruit on parts of the inhale and exhale that's so hard to pin down. Sort of like a light apple, a soft pear, hints of strawberry and it keeps changing where I can't focus on any single one of those. Also seems like FLV alpine strawberry is a bright yellow color, maybe that's where it's coming from.

Just as a reference, I mean the shit's undoubtedly yellow as hell.

Most bananas are strong, overripe, almost kind of raunchy. And flavoring concentrates really struggle. It's such a subtle banana, it's there but doesn't even make it to the exhale. Soft and mellow without being overripe. And there's other fruit mixes in there. Just a nice smooth vape that I didn't get tired of. Vanilla I think is too heavy for it (probably where I screwed up with the vanilla swirl).

I feel like if I can nail a few of these or get real close, I'm going to be like 'Elaine' on Seinfeld when she found the Soup Nazi's recipes in the armoire. Telling VW I don't need your juice, I can make my own. You're through, juice nazi.. NEXT! lmao.

So I did a little research....being I haven’t tried the OG liquid. Several people on Reddit likened Wrecking Ball to Bombies Nana Cream....down to the color and all. I found a recipe(from 2015) that might help you on your journey. It uses LA Banana Cream....the consensus was that this was the one, not TFA. They did not say colorless, though. TFA strawberry ripe will go yellow like that....and being it’s an older recipe, is probably what they used. Dragonfruit could be the vague Apple/pear thing you taste.

I haven’t tried this so no personal opinion. It got many positive reviews on ELR.

In my mind though, subtle sweet-but-not-overly-ripe banana along with strawberry, well, to me that is kiwi. So just a thought, in case you know of a kiwi that might fit into your mix.

I had high expectations from cherimoya after reading the comments of other vapers, but omg, it received the most adamant of blechs from me. Can't do kiwi, cherimoya, or blue raspberry.

Also I have read at various times here in the forum that VapeWild uses mostly Flavor West flavorings. I do not know if that's true, but several people have said it, so passing it along for what it's worth and to let anyone else confirm or refute.

Maybe you should contact VapeWild and just tell them, by god, if they aren't going to sell the flavor, the very least they could do is share the damn recipe! Leave their customers scrambling around trying to figure that shit out? What are they thinking? lol

I lost my Aegis Boost a few days ago. I couldn't find it. Thought maybe I left it in my car but it wasn't in there. Today, I decided to go look out in the snow. There it was in the driveway. It must have fell out while I was unloading the trunk.

It was out there for more than 48 hours and it's been damned cold outside (below zero at night, 10° high temp durring day).

I thawed it out and drained the RBA. I put the regular coil pod in, and It's working perfectly fine. Pretty tough little guy.

I thawed it out and drained the RBA. I put the regular coil pod in, and It's working perfectly fine. Pretty tough little guy.

I've heard that as well about the fw, but I don't think it's entirely true. Kiwi is another hard one, it quickly overpowers to me. I love real kiwi fruit but with most things artificial flavors tend to miss the mark. FW's kiwi was referred to by diy or die to be more of a candy kiwi, at low % it's not bad. I mixed up some FW kiwi at like 1.5% with 5% cap sweet strawberry, 1% inw shisha strawberry and 1.5% tfa cotton candy. Came out pretty pleasant but soft/mild, not a bright juicy kiwi/strawberry. I wasn't aiming for bright/juicy.

Cherimoya might not be my cup of tea either but worth a shot. Never done blue raspberry. I was also wondering about jackfruit. Makes me wonder about the name, how'd they get to the name of wrecking ball? Both cherimoya and jackfruit are larger roundish fruits. Jackfruit are roundish and weigh up to around 40lbs, possibly where they got the namesake 'wrecking ball'. Or maybe it's got nothing to do with it at all. And yea I wish they'd release the recipe. Or at least what flavors were used, even if they didn't tell the exact %'s.

Vw's made a lot of bad choices lately, they used to tell customers when flavors were going to be discontinued. Then in one day without a single warning they cut like 35 flavors. Just boom, done. At any hint of a flavor ban or partial flavor ban they just stop serving entire states. So much product out of stock, hardware out of stock. Their fb group has gone from cheery posts and happy customers to almost constant bitching. They cut a ton of their staff and fired them.

I imagine they'd sub out ok. Looks like a ton of banana cream but maybe the higher dragonfruit % knocks it back a bit. I agree, tfa's banana cream is nothing like lorann's. It's got a funky banana barfy smell.

It seems really selfish now when the whole vaping industry is in danger of being shut down, not to release recipes that people would love to have.

I’d be happy if I mixed a juice that people missed after it was discontinued! And I’d make the recipe public, for sure.

No that's the thing that's so difficult. If I had to try and describe 'wrecking ball', it's smooth and creamy. More of a creamy mouthfeel than cream flavor. There's a subtle banana that's almost spot on for a real banana that's more green and verging on ripe. Like when you eat a real banana you get that soft sweetness with just a little tang and then it's gone. Too many banana flavorings are too much like the peel. Think more like the kind of banana that's in banana ice cream or a banana split when you take a bite.

Then there's like this other light fruity mix that I can't ever pinpoint. Like the juicy sweet but non distinct flavor of the meat of an apple or a pear like you'd get in a fruit cocktail. On the exhale it's sweet, the banana is basically gone and it's like wait, was that.. strawberry? And then it's gone. In spite of being a smooth vape and smooth flavor and contrary to what banana is like, it's almost juicy. Idk how the hell you make a banana juicy. It's just more like a mild sweet banana fruit medley but nothing so dominant you can pick out any particular fruit.

That's why I thought maybe pear. It's like those otter pops, they're made with real fruit juice and there's always a sort of general 'fruity' flavor but nothing overly distinct. They use pear juice. Whenever I vape it and exhale, anyone who's been around me always asks 'what's that you're vaping? smells fruity'. But they don't say 'oh is that banana?' because it doesn't smell like banana. The flavor profile wasn't much help from the company and often kept changing. One time it said banana yogurt. Another time it said banana pudding. Another time it said banana, whipped cream and pudding. But it's never been heavy/custardy like pudding.

Also possible that it's not too much banana. When I first mixed this up it tasted closer with the flavors but after a few days the banana has almost disappeared. I think I used too much whipped cream, 4%. I often biff on the creams because I don't taste them then they begin to develop and by then it's too much. Now it's just kind of a bland cream with not much distinct flavor. Just leery of banana, too much and it starts tasting like old peel and dirty socks to me.

Here's what someone else commented about that flavor (wrecking ball) some years ago on reddit. So it's not just me that can't discern what the fruit is lol.

"I got this as August's mystery flavor. The cream notes were very mild, but I vape a lot of creamy juice so I might be more accustomed to it. There were also some mild fruit notes as well(pineapple maybe? Something citrusy but fresh) overall I think that if you like banana flavors, you'll love it anyway."

Another who didn't care for it said this " Initially it tastes nothing like bananas or cream, more of a fruity taste. " Same thread where someone said it was a spot on copy of that Bombies Nana Cream suggested.

Well, thanks to a good amount of fellow vapers here, I was gifted diy juice supplies. Made my first base yesterday and two juices, one orange creamsicle and one menthol. It was really fun! Just 10 minutes ago I made another base so I can make another juice during the day after I go back to sleep and wake up again!

Also saw some back and forth on reddit between someone making a clone and bombies and apparently they said dragonfruit wasn't it, but that they were on the right track. Some have been subbing out with some tfa quince 2% instead of the dragonfruit. Don't have any of that either.

I do wonder what else was in wrecking ball ingredients wise, none of those ingredients have DAAP warnings. I do believe VW suggested that was a reason for discontinuing wrecking ball. That it had some diacetyl or something in it even in a low amount and likely would struggle getting through pmta because of it. About the only thing I could think was tfa whipped cream but that has no daap warning. Tfa sweet cream does but that seems like the wrong cream for this. Also seems the original LA banana cream is the source of the vibrant yellow. Since I have the colorless, explains the discrepancy. Not sure if there's any flavor difference, some say no, others say the original is stronger. I'll keep at it. This is really in the right direction though and a good vape.

It might change as it steeps too, I'm keeping in mind I just mixed it a couple hours ago lol. Doesn't get much more raw outside of licking the dropper bottle from the nicotine. I only mixed up 30ml, was skeptical of that much banana cream just because I haven't had the greatest luck with banana. I'm thinking the higher % of other stuff beat it down enough to keep it mild and less like grungy socks. I keep playing with things as I mix, have come up with decent vapeable stuff but not too much that's been a definite keeper. I'm sure I'll keep tweaking on it, trying those other variations of the bombies nana cream out there. But this is going to be one of my keepers. After tasting it I feel confident I can buy a bigger bottle of banana cream. Hate to get bigger bottles because I never know if stuff is going to work out.

Well sometime last night / early morning I mixed up some extra wintergreen & vaniliian bubble gum juice. Have been enjoying a vape on it today off and on. Not exactly sure of my measurements. Not sure I'm greatly concerned I'm not certain, either. *chuckles* I know my drop count of the flavourings but at the same time I had about 1 ml left of some other bubble gum juice left in the 10 ml bottle. Oh well, maybe I'll go buy a laboratory soon, sure with all of my ghost money. While I'm at it I'll pick up a custom ball bearing action Ruger 9 mm semi-auto pistol and a universal holster kit for it, extra 14 round mags. Yep, that'll do me. Why? Well, .. why not?

Well sometime last night / early morning I mixed up some extra wintergreen & vaniliian bubble gum juice. Have been enjoying a vape on it today off and on. Not exactly sure of my measurements. Not sure I'm greatly concerned I'm not certain, either. *chuckles* I know my drop count of the flavourings but at the same time I had about 1 ml left of some other bubble gum juice left in the 10 ml bottle. Oh well, maybe I'll go buy a laboratory soon, sure with all of my ghost money. While I'm at it I'll pick up a custom ball bearing action Ruger 9 mm semi-auto pistol and a universal holster kit for it, extra 14 round mags. Yep, that'll do me. Why? Well, .. why not?

Not to mention having to right recipes down on paper. Dragging a notebook around from the pc to the other room where I mix. Tried using the phone, idk what happened to it. It used to let me add a decimal for like 0.5% of this and 2.5% of that. Now the decimal's gone so if I try to calculate anything from any website on the phone not only do I hate mobile layouts to begin with - I better like my %'s in whole number amounts. Hoping to build a new pc desk, when I do fingers crossed I'll be able to arrange it so I can also use it to mix.

I've tried a couple of different ways of organizing my mixing stuff. As long as the flavor collection keeps growing, that will be an effort in progress.

I was using a nail polish rack, but it didn't take any time at all before I outgrew it. Have no more wall room for additional racks. So my husband came up with an assortment of card boxes, like you'd put 5x8 index cards in, and I've now separated my flavors by brand. I have a box for TFA, a box for FW, then a box that has FA and Cap, and one for everything else. I keep nic and bases and some overflow stuff in a basket. But again I am growing out of what I'm using. Have no idea what I'll do next.

I have right at 200 flavors now. Have no idea how mixers manage truly large collections. I'm pretty sure my head would spin around backwards.

*grin & chuckles* What deviousness I hold in mind is fine. I can laugh all day about it. In my mind I can even make a movie of such things happening and watch it, plot out the scheme and excise errors. As long as I stay there, nobody can catch me and put me in prison. I've got my flavours in a bag inside another bag with other stuff hanging from a hook on the wall. Then, I have some in my plastic medicine box inside another plastic box, I got a 240 ml bottle with some base juice set on a bedside stand, fold up tray table. Got most of my vaping stuff not a mod in a plastic tackle/tool box set up against the wall. It looks like one of those little Jr. Handyman tool boxes.

I'll need to be direly careful in making coils for now. We're in a 10"x12" room in a cinder block unfinished basement hovel. There's drywall up on framed studs but well, it's kind of a joke. The floor is still a floating foundation concrete floor. The biggest furnishing in our room is our king sized bed. My computer monitor sets on top of a little gray plastic dresser Wal Mart special. I also got an electric water kettle on top of it, on the other plastic dresser sets our $90 20 something inch flat screen tv.

My computer tower sets on a tiny little stool, The battery backup / surge protecting box sets on another stool. Both need up off the floor because if it rains, snow/ice melt we get to have water roll over our floor and down and out of the hovel. Such a joy to wake up wading. I bet I'll have fun the first time the mice chew through electric cord insulation. Get a lovely shocking wake up call.

So, I'll need to set much as I am now, on the edge of the foot of the bed. I'll have to wrap up coils here to keep the excess wire out of the bed. Where as we were at an apartment that had a separate bedroom we converted into a multi-purpose office/ guest room. In our two years there we had no guests overnight. I had a computer desk, could keep my vaping stuff sat out a little as long as I held it to around my desk. Oh well, thank you H.U.D for thinking if my wife gets a ten cent raise we can pay an extra hundred dollars a month rent.

And yes, I know instead of complaining I ought to do something about it. Have looked for work outside the home to no avail. I keep looking, keep coming up no dice or keep seeing work that just isn't worth pulling out of a driveway to do. I also keep getting false starts at writing, programming, craft ideas, anything of the like I could possibly use as means to bring in revenue. Not sure why life keeps seeming to crap on me, or how, and don't really believe it is but seeing where I am I have to think something. For my best efforts I keep hitting a wall. I'm about keen to tell that wall to fuck itself too.

*sighs* It is a criminal act to see a man oppressed and to not teach that man to defend himself. It's also a criminal act if the man knows how to defend himself but is kept at odds of doing so by various other factors. That is where I find myself, betwixt the bull and the wall.

So, Bullish Bubble Gum I call my juice. Because it was the bull that lowered its horns. I grabbed on and made the best of the ride.

Damn, well I have no business complaining. My place is small but not quite that small. There's not a lot of room in any of the rooms, as it is the 'spare' room isn't even big enough for a bed. I've measured, even a twin won't fit between the wall and closet. The only way for it to fit would be parallel to the closet and a twin is too wide. The bedroom door wouldn't open so not sure what that room was designed for.

I've got a full size computer desk in my room at the foot of my bed, it's 27" deep and 53" wide. Worked out well when I had a 21" 85lb crt but since I've gone to a flatscreen I just don't need this beast in here. That and it's worn out. It was used when I got it and I've had it for probably 15yrs now. A lot of it is wasted space and the fact my pc tower sits on the desk as well doesn't help. Still deciding whether to try and keep it on the desk (it's nice visually), or find a cubby down under the desk (more room but not as visible). The biggest pain, the power is on the left of where the desk would go. If I put the tower on the left with the panel showing I have to put it facing the wall with the rear of the case and cables facing out. Easy enough to cover but a pain to get to the cd/dvd tray. And the button for the dvd drive would be up against the wall under the tray so require some sort of Houdini maneuver to reach up in front of the case, reach down under the disc tray and click the button while yanking my hand out of the way of the tray as it pops open. lol.

If I put the case on the right on top of the desk it's going to shove me up against the wall, don't really want that either. All this while trying to find room for a 30-32" wide keyboard tray since I keep my mouse and keyboard on the same tray. Not a fan of them raised up on the desk and even worse having a keyboard down below with a mouse raised up on the desk at a different level. Thinking maybe once I sort out where to put the desk and how to configure it to get a bit more room I can devise shelving around the works to maybe store flavorings.

I have to bring my keyboard to my lap and setting here on the corner of the bed. The mouse (the computer one not one of the three to six Abners running around) is over on a cardboard box atop the computer tower by the wall, My feet are down on top of a small electric heater. Yeah, it's cramped. It really doesn't inspire me to set here all day to write a full 50 to 70 K novel draft. I even dislike writing mini-novels here.

Hoping in January the company holding her EOS starts sending her payments out. We can then get some bills caught up, begin saving toward a down payment. We might even be able to get a mortgage based on having these steady payments coming in, the money will be here after all, it's just a matter of having it come in two or four instalments each year until it all gets paid out. And then we could possibly find something which we can stamp as "ours", as in a full house, homestead. Would like 5 to maybe 15 acres of land. I'm doubting we'll "touch" that however and need to be happy 2/3 acres. Our estimated "shopping" range is 30 to 50 K if we can manage keeping the higher end at under $300 monthly for mortgage/ins. If not 30 K will be our highest limit. Around here that can get us something modest we can remodel, build better as we grow into it.

This, here? It's temporary. It is a PITA though even if temporary. We had expected things to have been moving more forward when we went out to the apartment. Damn this relying on other people to have actually done their jobs, or to do them. It'll fuck you every time.
