Try and read this trainwreck of a thread again with some sense of neutrality. A crony acting on behalf of a vendor (you) started a thread demanding that the forum rules every other vendor in the history of the site has followed be waived for your friends. You, the vendor, and other friends of the vendor launched a full-scale attack on the site, its admins, and its mods when the rules (so simple an adolescent barnyard animal could understand them, IMHO) were explained repeatedly.

Supporters of the vendor repeatedly made demands that the rules be broken on behalf of their friend, and both the supporters and the vendor launched repeated, vulgar personal attacks after your wholly unreasonable demands were not met.

None of this is deniable - it's all here in the thread for anyone to read. And I hope very much that anyone doing a search for V Rod Vapors comes across this thread so that they're able to observe how the company conducts public relations before making an order, as I have little doubt this reflects on how they would be expected to react in the event of a problem with an order.

Do you really think ECF would spend this much time tolerating the pointless vitriol being spewed by a member who's obviously out for one thing: a "glory ban" that will give him the right to run back to his forum of preference and garner sympathy by crying about how the big bad meanies at the other forum wouldn't let him cut in line even though he really really really wanted to.

Personally, I don't think that would have happened. Does D Bicker have a presence on ECF? Does he act the same way toward mods over there? Do they put up with it? How about this "Blippy" site - does he repeatedly post "fuck this forum" messages there and get special privileges from the mods in exchange? Again, I'm doubtful.

Now that I've read this fuckin mess, personally I think this whole thread has been fucked...but from both sides yes lighty probably should have taken a different route on things (though i think calling him a "crony" for vrod vapors is really necessary or saying he was put up to it....seems like a kinda asanine thing to say). As for about @Donald Bickers And things he said , I can see having to stick to rules and the original confusion at first about new member/vendor rules. After they were explained then it could/should have been taken care of from there or figured out if he did have a legitimate complaint and had been within the guidlines(and I'm not saying he was or wasn't just saying that either way) about a request. Regardless I think it's fucked that the "MODS" would respond in retaliation to Don and others responses that were Angry and full of "fuck you's" and at times petty jabs with just as much BULLSHIT. As they were bitching at those posters about...that's pretty pathetic, hell after the first couple pages I'd say the only one who didn't pull that shit was @Vapor joes.....and even with him I don't understand some of the shit but it's on an unrelated subject( all the shit from GEARBEST) but that's a different rant for a different time.

This whole situation could have been handled differently by both sides and I find it amusing that this went on as long as it did instead of the point being made people telling each other to fuck off/deal with the rules and then locking the damn thread. I'm sorry if you think my responses constituted "retaliation," and perhaps the one where I called the OP a "crony" was, as I don't have any proof he was put up to posting the thread that within minutes had responses from the vendors in question and more of their supporters. I'm sticking to my guns in stating that I believe they were demanding that they be allowed to receive special treatment not afforded their competitors, that they refused to listen the first few times they were told in a non-abrasive manner why they weren't going to get it, and that at some point the thread turned into a crusade to receive a "glory ban," which was successful.

Still, I did see a redacted version of a customer receipt that @SMOKIE says was shared with him, and I believe him when he says he received it from the vendor in a completely uncensored form. It would scare the piss out of me to think that a vendor would be throwing my personal information around on the internet in an attempt to win an argument...one of the many reasons I won't be shopping with the vendor in question.

Unless someone wants to specifically call me back in here for clarification of anything I've said, I think I'm done with this thread. Toodles.

That's the one thing that makes this forum kind of "Wild West" (and waaaay different from ECF) - we're incredibly hesitant to lock threads, issue bans, or take any other action during quarrels aside from letting them play out. Moving a trainwreck to the Mud Pit is in most instances the worst punishment we dole out.

But as members in addition to mods, and as humans ourselves, we reserve the same right to respond to direct attacks that we afford our members. Might it be the noble thing to turn the other cheek and allow an assembled lynch mob to bash us even after we've made our point? Possibly. But I'm not Jesus, and I don't think anyone else here is either - as long as someone keeps saying they don't get it, some of us may decide to keep explaining it, usually in a progressively frustrated fashion. Think of a parent trying to avoid resorting to "Because I said so!" in trying to convince their toddler candy found on the floor is a bad thing to eat...

I have read this thread multiple times and I know what was said on both sides of the story, so no need.

I know what was said, but I also know things have cooled off a bit on their end. I'm just pretty sure I remember them talking about honoring the contests in place for the people participating. I have asked them what they wanted to do and I'll post a screenshot or whatever it is you need for verification of their response or just pull them. Thanks for the response - not trying to pull you in, I legitimately don't know whether anyone aside from Donald or @Taver13 is involved in the company.

I genuinely hope things cool down, and I'm not trying to "disprove your opinion," just get to the bottom of things. I'll wait for an official company rep to respond (hopefully the tag of the one I know who's chosen to stay around thus far helps) before taking action.

I think it says a lot that we haven't to my knowledge outright banned the contests, haven't banned the promotional posts from other members in the reviews sections, haven't banned promotional links in friends' signatures, haven't...I believe my point is made. While there may be some disagreement among staff (I'm just the guy that comes in after hours and buffs the floor so far as seniority goes), I'd like to see these guys somehow pull out of this nose-dive - like I said a while back in here I'm in the same boat they were in a few months ago as far as exploring starting a liquid business, and forum members with strong support (as evidenced by you and all the others who've jumped in to defend them) are a great asset, so they must be doing something really right (if not this thread).

@SMOKIE why let this one vendor ruin stuff for others. Just because they apparently did not handle this well, does not mean other vendors will handle stuff the say way. MamaJ's is a great example. Could you guys please reconsider going back to the 3 month rule?

perhaps you could post about how great a place they are to do business, to help salvage their reputation here.

We are a community, we aint all gonna like each other all of the time or even some of the time, theres people I just dont even respond to their posts.

Maybe we as a community an move on form this debacle

No one disputed they dont make good juice or do good business...The subject has to do with them thinking they were special enough to get vendor status without following the rules and getting pissed off because they werent.

I think it was great Joe announced he gave him back his money...Didnt donald say it was about the money in one of his posts?..Well there you have it.

Would one not think of this situation as how vrod handles a situation that it could be a risk to customers alike?

Me personally, id like to it resolved and all go back to normal for them...had i saw correctly and it was still 90 days to become a vendor, they had 2 weeks left.
