Around half of the songs just get a perpetual loading circle on tapatalk. That's okay 'cause I can just go to YT; but I don't know what to look up without the title. That's okay, too. This isn't the play songs for Adrienne Kumquat thread, after all. But other tapatalk people probably have the same problem. So, to use a bit of popular forum jargon, just sayin'...

Am I Demon? - Bonnie 'Prince' Billy

'Cause bob has me thinking of Mac, a mutual friend from over yonder; I remember being overly happy when he said he liked this one a bunch.

One more from the album because this was seriously like crack to me when I was your daughter's age, Ash. Maybe she'll dig it, too.

Restoril, Sonata, Rozerem, warm milk, achy nostalgia. Who knows how to do Friday night right?

Peter and the Wolf - Vancouver Symphony Orchestra - Sergei Prokofiev

Traveling further down Memory Lane tonight, I guess. But I'm watching this rendition for the first time, and it's a nice one. Half way through, and I thought I'd share.

Okay, so sometimes I only listen to part of the songs here. Just sometimes, and so does everyone else. If you listen to this one at all, you've gotta listen 'til the end 'cause it's a story and 'cause the ending blows the roof right off into the sky.

Rock Island Line - The Weavers

Cradle song. I think my very earliest legit memory of the feeling of sheer joy was upon first hearing an album of the Weavers' live renditions of some classic folk songs (second earliest was upon hearing a record of a Harry Belafonte live show). No pictures or stories about it (my mom was surprised to hear it when I told her; she'd just played them for herself, and I was too young for her to imagine they'd even register), so it's not half-fudged and iffy the way I suspect SO many super early childhood memories are for all of us.

Their stirring songs are my favorites, but I'm trying to get sleepy, so a lovely little lullaby -

Suliram - The Weavers

Aw, man, cherry...first I pester you to come play some more songs, and now I'm posting more pestering?? Thing is, tapatalk people can't go look up the songs without titles. Now, no one's gotta cater to us sad few who are stuck with this hinky app for forum access, but there it is. Promise I'll now knock off the badger routine. Doesn't mesh well with music at all.

edit - thanks, cherry (I've said it before, but I forgive tapatalk just because of its vogueing kindergarten teacher)

It's not Tapatalk. It's YouTube and the ability of uploaders to restrict who gets see videos based on country, platform, etc.

I put my hands on my head and bow to your superior knowledge, my pteropine friend. In my defence, it's seemed like a tapatalk problem because every posted (titled) video I've ever looked up in the YT app has played just fine. Around half of those same videos play fine within the oddly emojied confines of tapatalk. And YT has given me so many gifts, whereas I've gotten squat from tapatalk.

...........Oh, jeez, expressive little lady, I didn't mean that; Tapatalk has given me you!
