I'm ahead of you: Already have it installed & working :). I can't throw a lot of stuff to the Chromecast from the computer, though, because I'm running Linux and that lacks the necessary Digital Rights Management built-in. But I can throw stuff from my phone and tablet.

I'm going to look into what I might be able to do with a Raspberry Pi media server.

My wife bought a couch waaaaaay too big for a Boeing hanger. Displaces all the oxygen out of the room. And it has motors. That we never use. Not even sure what they are for, motorized couch potatoing or something. If a drip tip falls off and rolls underneath it, it's gone because it weighs as much as a nuclear submarine. "Oh but it's so comfy and it was on sale!" But now, after a while, it is taking the shape of my ass and seems fine. If I can get used to my wife I can get used to this.

Yeah, I can see how it would seem that I'm grumpy today. I'm actually not, necessarily. Touchy subjects in a couple places I've read today, plus I'm on cuppa coffee #2. I'm really in a decent mood.... depends on the thread I'm in at the moment, LOL.

No disrespect.
Fortunately I'm not that picky, lol
Nothing on the internet I could read would make me upset my day... simply log out and be done with it, lol.. besides, I've got a lot better things to do than to stare at my cell phone anyway.. this is just another form of entertainment much like watching a movie.. might say I finally learned not to let things bother me anymore, especially with Mr Magoo gone for awhile, :)

Do any of you know if Bruce Springsteen did a song called Spirit In The Night? I keep thinking Manfred Man did it but my brother disagrees, lol

Your Dr appt only costs 75 around here the cheapest is around 160

That's exactly why I still go to the Dr in the small rural town we lived in for 13 yrs; much cheaper than metro ATL docs, and only a 35 min drive. Well worth it! Also, he knows me, that I'm not a "drug seeker," that I'm very proactive and self-motivated when it comes to managing my health but won't take hi-tech tests since I don't have insurance and because knowing I have some disease would be useless, without the $$$ means to fix it. And he thinks ANYTHING!!! is better than smoking.

But of course!
You don't hear me saying I'm grumpy about anything do you? Faultfinders are dime a dozen and so are folks that like to complain, I just don't try to be one of them so early in the morning. In fact I've got to go catch my boat so I'll be seeing ya'

It's selfish, it destroys the ones left behind and you never get over it. It pisses you off is what it does.

That's exactly why, no matter how bad my depression ever got, no matter how many THOUGHTS of suicide I entertained, I wouldn't do it... my son has enough problems without that too. I want to teach him problem-SOLVING not problem-evading.

Why do people commit suicide?
Morning news says an average of 22 military suicides a day nationwide...here in San Diego there is alot of white crosses on a hill representing suicides committed just this year..
Suicide isnt a good choice for problem solving I would think..it's so permanent...

No worries Whisk! You fail to realize my happiness isn't dictated by things said on the internet... I'm very happy..been blessed with good health, a fine home and all the toys a boy could want..the only negative I'm dealing with right now is my mom's stage 4 lung cancer..it hurts my heart to see her going downhill fairly fast..She's asleep right now and I'm headed for the San Diego Yacht Club for lunch out on the water with some of my closest friends. So no worries about me being happy or missing out...I'm good, lololo

Well I have to say that you are not the only one dealing with a family member in stage 4 cancer and you know that, and as far as toys, Yea we all have our toys and to me, no ones toys are better than anyone else's, it's not a contest , but if it makes you feel any better, you can take your's home or to the yacht club and show them off over there basking in the sunshine and water, sounds fun and all that, may get you out of the mood you seem to want to project into the thread line here, not even sure why you bothered to come back and post with all that goin on for you, Peace man

On the parental-health news front... my stepfather is finally coming home from the hospital Tuesday. I'm just glad he survived, or it would have been assisted-living for my mom.
