Well I guess I should be glad that a 55 yr old birth certificate is still findable. ;) I've had a photocopy of my "registration of birth" for years, but it's about to fall apart, so I reckon having a certified copy for our personal records is a good thing. but still... $25!!!! That's fucking robbery!

Try paying $150.
Had to get it done last minute to FL, from NJ, using a service.
You can thank the Department of Homeland Security for all this extra needed bullshit, and it will be mandatory in all states.

Yeah, my husband's certificate isn't here yet, from IN, and his temp license expires Tuesday, so Wednesday he'll have to go and see if they'll give him an extension, if it doesn't come Mon or Tues.

And this is why I'm starting my own process now, though my license doesn't expire till May 22. That also coincides with having to renew the truck tag, since I'm the lead owner on the registration, so it's better to try and stagger all these costs a bit. Plus I have a Dr's appt Apr 11, which is $75.

Hell yes they do.
After 30 hours of those horrible lemon things, the sponge swabs and ice chips from 12 hours prior.... With nothing basing it off of, other than vomit.
THAT was the best shitty as hell turkey sammich, was crap white bread with a single slice of turkey and american cheese with a bit of lettuce. Strawberry kiwi jello... and the best rocking cup of peppermint tea.

It was god's own meal, the tea was angel's tears.

Had to do that a few weeks ago too, luckily it only took like 10 minutes, I was expecting to wait a few hours. Had to get a Passport to go to Canada, honestly I should just get my citizenship and get dual passports so I can be a spy! (Dad's whole family is Canadian, Mom's USA). Wish I could afford to live in Vancouver, that place is so beautiful.
Everywhere in Canada that I've visited has been ALOT nicer and friendlier than just about anywhere that I've been. Not to mention, even with my wife with me on those vacations, I got "hit-on" by some VERY attractive Canadian girls:D. The story about how I got seated next to one of them on a flight (while my wife was about 6 or 8 rows back from me).....is PRICELESS!;)

Good morning everyone. Have a good day. I'm wiped out from work and the kid problems. Got him back into a Detox. If he stays and completes it we're getting him out of Florida and into a rehab up here. He knows to many people in Florida. Bottom line though is he has to make the decision to end this ! We can get him into all the places in the world but if he truly doesn't want to stop it will not happen. This is it. Last chance for him and then I'm going to have to wash my hands of him. Shame though he's my son and I love him and I do go on the Marine mentality of never give up and no man left behind. I don't know anymore. Works been murder also. We're working all the time and maybe if we're lucky get one weekend a month off. Sure making a ton of overtime but what good is it if your dead from working lol.

Tough love Breazy, addiction is horrible on the ones that love them too, I hope and pray he'll come around. But they focus on ways to get them (family) to enable, even if you don't realize your being "worked" now its all up to him to decide. Many hugs

Morning Mark!

Breaks my heart to read this. Addictions run deep in my fam for many generations. Some made it through to sobriety, some didn't. It's a gut wrenching experience to watch and not being able to help. It's their demons to battle and they have to want to do it. Praying for your family and hoping he pulls through this.

The world has turned into a convoluted mess, it's scary out there.

In a way, it's thrilling. It's like living in a horror/action/sci-fi combo. They're planning on releasing those genetically modified mosquitoes nearby. Probably not going to kill me, but the thought of it is kinda funny. The larvae glow.

Why do people commit suicide?
Morning news says an average of 22 military suicides a day nationwide...here in San Diego there is alot of white crosses on a hill representing suicides committed just this year..
Suicide isnt a good choice for problem solving I would think..it's so permanent...

I have to change & learn. Put the biscuits in the oven, made the bacon in my opti grill, scrambled the eggs, got everything on the plate, turned to get my coffee & knocked the Fuckin' plate on the floor. If Denny's wont let me in I'm fucked. I cant wear a shirt. :(

Oh.....almost forgot:rolleyes:. My 92 y.o. grandmother got here last week, for her permanent stay back here in CT. She's lived down in Florida since 1975. I guess that I should go and visit her @ some point later in the day.....(after I go to the grocery store and change the oil in my car:eek:....and whatever else comes up). Crazy how my Mom passed away @ 62 y.o.:( from stomach cancer (10 yrs ago), and NEVER smoked or did anything bad......and my Grandmother (who smoked COWBOY KILLERS for most of her life)......is still here @ 92. Guess that that Billy Joel:cool: song might just be true.....

My best friend has had 3 people in her life commit suicide (that I know of). One of her ex-boyfriends (from when she was in her early 20's) shot himself in his back yard. Her brother in law (from her second husband), killed himself in a friend's bathroom (with a shotgun). And finally, her first husband took a bunch of pills, then changed his mind. He called his friend for help (instead of calling 911), and that didn't end well. Yup.....It's a permanent solution!......and NOT a good one for family and friends.

Agreed..fortunately the members of my family are afraid of dying.. Lol
And stubborn headed too..
I've never know anybody that had committed suicide but I guess they're alot of them committed locally by ex-military... Sad too!

Hope everyone is having a decent weekend.

Breazy, sending love to you and your son. It's a nightmare no matter which path you chose.

Saddle, one arm hugs for ya darlin. Maybe stop at the grocery store deli once a week before you'll be alone and grab some premade stuff? Wishing you the best

And xoxoxoxo to everyone, because we could all use hugs and kisses sometimes

You don't exactly display enthusiasm for this fine day Huck! May you enjoy a wonderful day today :)

Yeah, I can see how it would seem that I'm grumpy today. I'm actually not, necessarily. Touchy subjects in a couple places I've read today, plus I'm on cuppa coffee #2. I'm really in a decent mood.... depends on the thread I'm in at the moment, LOL.

No disrespect.
