Deep sea fishing is awesome, the one downside is it makes lake fishing boring as hell. Nothing like fighting a fish for a 30...60... 100minutes, and even if it cuts the line at the end it's still fun! The only thing that would ever piss me off is the damned sealions, bastards. I'd want to get a gaff and jump in after them every time.
On the 1.5 day trips we fish the kelp patties at anywhere from 35 to 85mi offshore..no sea lions but an occasional shark will bite your yellow in half once in a while, lots of excitement and fun too, lol

Problem is hot sauce is usually vinegar-y and ruins it, and cooking with the spice melds it with the flavor. Ehh it's the best way for a nice mellow kick IMO, but I agree fully with the texture and wads of fuck.
Red, yellow, orange peppers no issue cooked till destroyed no issue.... toss some of that green motherfucker bell in there and I will not touch it, they do not taste right and the texture with the flavor is enough to gag me.
I am a texture eater, I could give two shit if that flapjack/pancake/hotcake tasted like an angel's ass... it is a fucking pancake. Except pejeon those are a gift from god.

Waffles... that shit best be deep fried crispy and if maple shit has come near it.. not a chance in hell. Fuck soggy waffles.

Sea roaches, butthole feeders and other shit and rotten flesh garbage eaters... besides a penchant for killing me disgust me to no end. Cooked or uncooked they smell like an outhouse to me. No shell fish for me and I am fine with that.

Cooked fish... depends on the prep and fish. I will totally go Gollem on some depending what it is.

Pasta and Pizza.. it better be semolina full gluten, or rice noodles... that gluten free and whole wheat shit is just an abortion to call it otherwise.

Anything with canola... I personally do not like the taste and besides it is machinery lubricant not food, so is soy oil... both can fuck off. Hell I can smell the soy and crapola oil in products and fast food.

You want non vinegary sauce... get some Korean pepper paste... 100% money back promise you will shit napalm.

Fishing around Catalina before we head back last summer, catch a fish but it's small and got tangled in the line, intend to just release it. Well it's turning out to be a PITA to get it off. Mom's boyfriend is trying his hardest. All the while this seal is swimming around eyeing the fish. We're thinking ok, GL little fishy. Anyways keep trying to untangle it and get it out. Finally the thing twitches as we break it free and ends up flinging off the back and lands right on the swim ladder. Pretty sure it's dead. Starts swimming with one fin in a circle, "ahh it's just braindead now" ohh well, we're waiting to watch the seal take it out, seal starts swimming up and dives deep so we can't see it. All watching this little fish. BOOM out of nowhere a bald eagle swoops in and snatches it up, those things are MASSIVE. We see it take it over to a rock on shore and have it's fill. But, god what a shock.

Anyways, I've only fished that far out on Catalina trips, but never on a fishing boat (we take a 52ft sailboat), I really should do it sometime.

Those sea bastards can all fucking die and I would not care.
I hope they get like sea bastard aids and die off, we have those nasty bloated bastards in our rivers and cannot shoot the fucking blubber bastards cause commifornia says they are protected.
I pray for a school of Bull Sharks to violently rape the population of them or Orca learn to become fresh water hunters.

Nothing like pulling a fucking salmon head ashore cause the sea bastard gutted it while you were fighting it.

I should get off my ass and post the pics of the project mom and I helped out on last fall.
Would love to help move them in the middle of this month but not a chance I can paddle worth a fuck which cuts me out of the season.

Yeah, like I said all I'd have to do is really hit up my uncle and I'd be on my way, could probably drop an invite to my Mom's boyfriend and make an outing of it.

The Catalina thing is more a 'why not fish while we go on vacation' thing. Love Catalina trips on a boat. Dock in Twin Harbors and just ahh... so nice. Best thing is swimming in to shore in the morning from the mooring, get a nice relaxing workout while you wake up, then take a shower and maybe grab some breakfast and hop on the dingy back to the boat. Arg I need to go again, they need to get some repairs done on the bottom of the boat before another trip but hopefully we'll go this spring again.

Hi Family I'm home. Replaced my shoulder. Doc said no more motorcycles ever. My body will be fine in a month or so. My sole is destroyed. Gonna go mix a stiff drink & cry like a little kid. :(
I'm sorry to hear that buddy. Get back to full health soon!

That is EXACTLY how I feel about the fucking great horned owls around here -- one of those huge bastards was stalking our cat one night, when SHE thought she was stalking IT. Had to stop letting her be outside anytime near dusk, with those bastards around here -- and GA DNR says they're "protected." Assholes!

And if any redheaded woodpeckers start banging on my house, that is going to be a DEAD woodpecker, protected or not.

$500 fine killing a redheaded woodpecker here in Cali...

Probably here too. Actually we found a great way to keep the bastards off the house -- those sparkly "windmill" things you put in the garden, hang them from the eaves with fishing line -- it freaks the birds out so much, they don't come peck on the house. :)

Has anybody heard how @kimber did on her job interview? Was just wondering, I am sure she did well:)
Why thanks for asking!! It went VERY well,, they wanted to make my employee badge right then and there. We didn't talk money, HR is kind of dragging their feet on that part... They're checking references and experience and such, and HR does things in their own time. But the girl I interviewed with called them while I was there and told them... I want her hired yesterday!!! So yeah, it went well

It's funny,,, now that I know how things work there, it makes my current job seem that much worse than I already knew it was. It's the usual short-staffed but pile more work on syndrome where I am. It's wearing me out and I'm so pissed off by the end of my shift I can hardly stand myself. I realize that the grass isn't always greener but dammit...some of the stuff we do where I am is utterly asinine. So now it isn't even entirely about the money... I'm sure the money is going to be significantly better in the new place but add to that the better schedule, the better policies, the better procedures and it's almost a no-brainier. There are only two drawbacks that I can see right now,,, their lab is a dungeon,, I mean a REAL dungeon. All those jokes I've heard about the hospital lab being in a dark corner of the basement is true there.. Holy shit it's ugly down there! But looks aren't everything and they have nice equipment, a lot of which I'm already familiar with. And it's a 40 minute drive ( current drive is a minute).

Current employer is working on a pay raise for us, to bring us up to speed with what our counterparts in other facilities are making but they are definitely NOT happy about having to do so. They'll make us pay for it in ways I can't even imagine right now. And I don't think it's going to be enough to make me stay, honestly. It's all the other stuff driving me away now.

I'm off next week and I should have HRs offer by Monday at the latest so I'll have a week to mull it over but I'm leaning heavily toward going. In the meantime, I'd bang out today if I didn't have overtime tomorrow. Besides, I never do that... My conscience would kill me.

So good morning everyone!!! I hope you have a great morning.. I have to go dig up something for dinner....
