first words the wife spoke to me today was" the weatherman said today is THE day to mow your grass because it will rain the rest of the week."
then she set out to do everything she could to prevent my mowing the grass....

Some days it would be better to just stay in bed.
Good evening Robert:wave:

Good evening Robert:wave:
Just finished mowing most of the yard a bit ago and as soon as I stopped the mower the SIL called me to get me to do some work for her.
Gonna have to move... She lives next door.

wife want to set 3 big flower pots in the middle of the yard.
Told her ok if she eliminates one of the many other mowing obstacles she has placed int he yard.
I am at a zero work growth stage now.

Senility onset may cause me to mow thru a flower bed or two.
She just makes em. Well supervises me making them. Then plants them and NEVER does any maintenance on them.

My car decided that it wanted to keep overheating on my ride home from work . After having to stop a couple of times to prevent it from overheating, I limped the car to my Dad's house. My brother and I found out that the thermostat needs to be replaced and the water pump too. We removed the thermostat for now and I'll have to keep an eye on the coolant level. As long as I do that, I should be good til' the weekend (I hope!), when both parts can be replaced. Tuesdays....:gaah:.

Depression is fun. I lost a whole day. Can't remember anything past noon. Daughter has been gone 10 years. Mind shut down. At least I never left the house. I think. :(
I feel your pain Saddle ! You and I seem to run on the same distorted frequency of life. Feel better my friend !

Good evening everybody . After my adventure with my car, I got home about an hour or so ago :wait:. Against my better judgement, I'm hoping that a strong :coffee: of :coffee2: will get rid of my splitting headache . Hopefully.....tomorrow will be better .
Hey pro tip to save a whole lotta money and hassle.
Get a thermostat. They are cheap as hell, or you will be looking at a head gasket job min. or a cracked water jacket engine replacement.

That's the plan. It was a quick fix for now, and as long as I keep the coolant level full, removing the thermostat that wasn't opening up keeps the engine temp at a constant/cool 150*-165*F which is better than what it was running at/getting up to with it in. Only thing that I don't have right now is heat (which I don't need right now). Water pump, thermostat, and belt get replaced on Saturday :).

sill to much risk for a 14 part to prevent 1400+ minus labor for an entire engine replacement.
