And an extra special thanks to @Whiskey for listening to all of us and everything else she's done, she's helped in so many ways. I'm at a crossroads in my vaping journey at the moment not knowing exactly where I want to go, but I know without everybody's help I'd still be on 12mg juice on (for me) an unsatisfactory evod and istick, which all went in the pif box and I hope they found good homes.

Sorry but gun laws specifically around homeland security and somehow more screening get to weed out nuts that think it's OK to take human life for their "beliefs". We all should have a right to carry. But you can be on a no fly list, be mentally unstable and go buy a gun...kinda scary....I'm down for sane people with guns to protect themselves but this shit that happened today is an example that something more needs to be done. I don't know what but 14 people are now dead...

Homeland should not exist period.
It is not a matter of needing more or screening more it is enforcing what is in place.

My only input on gun control is that whether there's background checks or not Mr criminal is going to find a gun, period. How many convicted felons have firearms? They're not allowed to buy guns legally, so there's my response to gun control.

We are still the same people that took out the largest military power in the world over a tax on a breakfast beverage.
-I sincerely doubt that any gun control would ever actually happen. Its just alot of noise in the media to keep our attention away from other things. Its a hat trick.
I'm still glad that I've made the point to stock up

gun control is keeping you booger hook off the bang button.

Seriously anyone who crows about it needs look no further to our counterparts who did it and have rampant knife crime.

The scary part is; by all accounts these two goofballs had some pretty serious firepower. Odds are it wasn't anything they got at cabalas'. They were also in a state that already has some fairly stringent gun control laws.
Yet they pull this off and the talk on the next day is more gun control?
Shit will make your explode if you try and get that to make sense.

Ya know I am going to come right out and say this.
FUCK Jimmy Kimmel right in his unfunny ass, I hope he rots in fucking hell.
This whole thing of bad presents to kids and video taping it for a laugh and the bit with taking the treats from trick or treating.. while some find it funny it is damaging beyond words to kids.
Any parent who does this is vicious and cruel.

Having said that I grew up with some people giving the most cruelest unthought out shit as gifts. Last minute could have been acceptable but the intentionally cruel and heartless I could have done without.

I have lost the only two people in my life I can't bear to live without. Cancer took one, a car wreck the other. All I can do is bide my time & pray I will be with them someday. 10 years ago, & it hurts as much now as then. That's why I go crazy sometimes, I can't bear the loss.

Thank You. It is said that God will not give us more than we can bear. In my case He did.
Saddle I wish we were closer on this big rock. I do not doubt or dispute your toughness. But it does not hide your big heart. You are welcome at my humble home any time if you ever find yourself in north east VT. I'll put on some coffee and cook up some grub. Might even have a nip of somethin or other warming kicking around. No b.s. you seam like someone I would enjoy a good visit with.

Thank You so much, the honor would be all mine. I never discount what could happen. Last time I was in VT they had lots of Harleys. I'm just an old man that does all I can to help others.:)

To @Whiskey, @Saddletramp1200, @charlieallen844, and @Liz Wonder -

These are all people who lost (or, who have people that are still fighting) cancer. Or, in charlieallen's case, an apparent shooting.

I fought, and won Stage 3 testicular cancer; Liz fought and won Stage 3 uterine cancer. In my case, it helped me avoid some dogma within the Mother Church (birth control) LoL... Liz lost her daughter to cancer that had metasticized from her lungs, to her bones, and her brain; the very same, as what happened to my father.

Cancer claimed the lives of many in my family. It's definitely on my @#*! list. This gun thing has gotten me upset, too.

We are at a point to where handguns need to have digital handgrip ID, for the law-abiding citizenry. Proponents of the Second Amendment and gun collectors won't like what I have to write here.

We have to understand as the body public that the Second Amendment was written, and ratified in 1791. The people that emigrated here during that time period were fleeing the tyranny of the British Crown, yes...

Many of them were also running from 'the law' - hence, the penal colonies established here in the territory we now know as Georgia, among others.

People get wrapped up in rehetoric from politicians, and lobbies that try to curry favor within our political system. It is time for the technology sector to step up, and create a gun owner/handgun ID system.

Whether by handgrip imprinting, or even real-time DNA analysis from the gun owner's skin cells or perspiration, the tech community could make this happen.

After all, it is nearly 2016, not 1791 - and, the population has changed greatly since then. So, Amendments may need to be amended, in order to reflect the times we live in.

In this way, law enforcement would be able to spend their time tracking down illegal firearms suppliers, and buyers - rather than infringing upon the rights of law-abiding, registered handgun owners.

In other words, let's find viable solutions, instead of creating more problems with rhetoric from lobbies, spin-doctors, and worse - individuals who live in denial about our nation. We lead the world in violent crimes - especially those perpetrated by the illegal gun-carrying portion of our society.

Hopefully, Liz and I won't be annihilated with forum hatred...

LW & Liz :):)
Your top drawer in my eyes LW your pretty Gal too. Except for targets, I have never felt the need to shoot anything that's was not trying to harm me or I had to eat it. A gun to me is just like a motorcycle to me, something I respect & cherish, a tool to make my life better.

My weapons are tools for food, security and defense. Besides smiling when going out plinking with family.
much like my vaping rig is a tool to keep me sane.

OK @Whiskey and the rest of you miscreants..
Tater n leek chowder.
6-8 taters of your choice peeled and diced.
2-4 decent sized leeks clean and diced.
2-4 cloves of garlic minced.
1/2 sweet onion diced.
Beef stock.
2-4 slices of bacon cooked.
1 can of corn or frozen corn.

OK in the crock pot put whatever spices you desire goes the beef stock and taters. cover it and let it alone for 2 hours. I did bay leaf, rosemary, thyme and some fennel seeds.
In the mean time sautee some onion garlic and leeks until the leek soften. remove from heat and let it sit until you are ready to add them to the tatters. Also good time to cook the bacon and drain it off.
in 2 hours when the taters soften add the leeks and bacon to the crock pot.
Not leave it alone for another hour to hour and a half.

Now this is where the magic is going to happen. strain out about half to three quarters of the taters and leeks and blend them down.. it allows chucks of taters and stuff without losing the thick chowder aspect.
Add a table spoon of flour and 1 of corn starch to the blended taters and mix back in.
Leave it for 45-60 minutes stirring a bit.
In blender or processor 1/2 cup whipping cream and 1 cup greek yogurt and blend smooth... add back into the pot and stir. Add in drained or ffrozen corn and stir again and leave it for another 45 minutes.

This stuff gets better with a day or three of sitting if it will make it that far.
