He's 22 and all the girls go crazy for him LMAO.
I'm sure you know this but..where EJ's had the rehab experience I've done the peer counselor
thang, only thing to add to what she said
is try to get him to stay the fuck away from all his partaking buds.
The biggest obstacle to overcome with getting and staying off drugs is peer pressure.
Oh, and take his phone away for a while...

Lolo no... I'm not a sterotypical Puerto Rican woman....as I've gotten older I've learned to maintain a boil if I'm pissed. Though if I'm pushed, I will blow my lid!

Yea..Okay Bori...sure.
Dudette, ya gotta lance them boils or they just keep getting bigger
and hurt like hell until they pop when you least need them to
and get crap all over the place.

My father used to say, "Better to turn red right away than to slowly turn pink for a long time."

I've been clean for 3 and a half years I believe. (24th years old) I was never into or liked the steps in AA or all that just did it by myself and I'm not even sure on the exact date. I just know all that is behind me. It takes some people more time to get the strength to finally say I'm done AND be done. But the signs tell me most likely he's very close to that point. Tell him an exjunkie said if I can do it he can do it. It's a bitch to do but get it over and done with already and go off and live your life. When you're sober it's gonna be hard cuz you see what actually is and that's when you wanna use again. It's no easy ticket but think of it this way the last time you quit will be the last time you'll ever have to be sick.
(that's a lot to say my bad...you can rephrase) lol

I've never flown either! I'm missing it! I'm told the peanuts are to die for!

Matt
Don't get your hopes up but I'm pretty sure they don't give complimentary peanuts anymore (not on any flights I've been on in the last few years). You can probably buy some though for $10 though!

True true! Once you are clean you realize that all your "friends" were actually just people that you got high with...

You did fine Erica, the more people share with others, the more others can understand & learn to cope in this messed up world we live in today. ;)
Yeah Erica good job! But I'm not sure who she is...

Well, that would be Norse teacher..our little viking friend spells it that way.
I drank 24 tall boyz at South Beach when I was 14.
Didn't have a drop for years.
I have a shot of Scotch now and then or a shot of cognac in honor
of my dear departed dad, but I generally don't drink unless it's Guiness Stout
or Altenmunster.
Trust me?

Yes Ma'm. It be called CODEPENDENCE.

Nothing worse than having stayed away from that little white powder for a few weeks
and the phone rings with an invite or a real good deal
Indeed..:(

The Guiness must be real cold, be in a mug and have a pinch of salt in it.
Used to love to have a couple with a krautdog at Lum's across the street from
Coconut Grove Park while I watched the freaks and hippie types carrying on

So I let all the tears come out and it was because of my 5 year old daughter.
She came over to me and asked "daddy what's wrong. You are smiling at me but I know something is wrong".
So I looked at her and said
" I put on a mask, I hide the pain. I force a smile, I shove the sadness away. I walk around on the outside, while I die on the inside."
She said "I know its sad that grandma is gone but I'll hold you and you go cry"
I was blown away that this came from my 5 year old. And I just broke and it all came out.

Sorry, Tootsie Roll (Ha! yer new nick and term of endearment)
but my last mission involved painting the front porch fascia and the bumps on the county easement
(the latter will last 2 or 3 days with neighbors from hell driving over them) and my next will
be hanging Christmas lights..

But I'll gladly share the joy of Christmas with ya any old time..LOL.

Dude, you finally said something I can LIKE.
It's hard for me to "like" your pain and shit you gotta do
but you just showed me you have the heart to let it all out
the love to deal with it, and the cojones to tell us about it.

Cry, Bro. You have a bunch of shoulders..

Kids love you more when you act human. My Daughter put her arms around my neck the day we had the service and said, I know Mamma is gone, but you still have Me, & I have You. 17 months later I had to do the same thing again. I can't see to type just now, Be back later.
