So I let all the tears come out and it was because of my 5 year old daughter.
She came over to me and asked "daddy what's wrong. You are smiling at me but I know something is wrong".
So I looked at her and said
" I put on a mask, I hide the pain. I force a smile, I shove the sadness away. I walk around on the outside, while I die on the inside."
She said "I know its sad that grandma is gone but I'll hold you and you go cry"
I was blown away that this came from my 5 year old. And I just broke and it all came out.

Wow I'm just as surprised as you are! A five year old. That's a smart little girl right there. I'm touched by that for you. Just mind blowing. She'll grow up to be an amazingly caring, sweet, loving women and with the intelligence to do great things.

but my last mission involved painting the front porch fascia and the bumps on the county easement
(the latter will last 2 or 3 days with neighbors from hell driving over them) and my next will
be hanging Christmas lights..

Just chilling and riding out the storm that has been battering the hell out of us for a few days.
Ground beef instead of stew meat. 83% lean.
SOme gralic... who am I fooling, a metric fuckload of garlic.
Half an onion, a few carrots and celery.
I fucked up at the grocery and did 1 chicken and beef stock...
Some barley, diced tomatoes and paste.. some shredded broc and mushrooms...

Just did a dump soup for the most part. Forgot frozen peppers also.
