Mine came today. Love the black. Sort of matte. Very nice looking tank. I'm stoked about the side fill port. Very nice set up.

The only thing I will complain about is the glass tip. Can't stand clear tips. They always look dirty. Crown tank tips are not standard 510. A hair bigger. But the bore is much bigger than 510. The Crown tip fits the Crius. Looks like same size. But the inside bore is smaller. Like a big 510 I've seen. That I really don't get, if you are going to do 510 inside bore, why use non 510 outside? Oh well, minor gripe. A 510 will work with bigger o-rings. And I don't want to use the big bore crown tip. I'll use it the way it's setup to see how it works.

Not sure what you mean? Mine came with 4 coils that give a dual coil resistance of 0.3. Not sure of the material, but they work well in power mode

I picked up some 26 ga. 316L at the LVS, earlier today, for just that purpose.

Well that was sort of a disaster.

Took me about 5-6 tries to get two coils out of 26g gplat. Bit of a learning curve with the deck and half wraps coming out right. Ended up with 9/8 wraps contact at 0.38 ohms.

The wicking is a bit of a chore. Tried angled to make the curve. Ends are sort of stuck in. Can barely see them in the holes. 4 or 5 mm strip. I'm just concerned with flooding.

I go to put it together, and I'm pretty sure I stripped the threads. Very fine. I never really felt any resistance. It just never stopped turning. Took it apart and it was pretty rough. Put it back together, I guess it's holding. Probably need new parts.

I go to fill it and it runs out. Didn't close the juice holes, but I don't think it should have just ran out. Severed a little cotton sticking out now it is floating around in the tank.

But the vape, the vape is pretty darn nice. Loaded a profile for 317L. Hits awesome. Very smooth. Running it around 350F. Turned it down. Have no idea if it is going to burn or flood. But it tastes great and is very smooth on the DNA 200. Closed the holes and cleaned it up.

I really like it, but a bit of work. I'm willing to work for a great vape. This has the potential. Want to get some 430 SS. Not exactly sitting with a warm fuzzy after my first go.

That's interesting to hear of your struggles on first attempt. Mine went pretty smooth but I was using just 24g stainless. Their is a great video by mikes vapes that shows a proven wicking method. I use it myself and found it works charms. I hope you get it going the way you like it. I am anxiously awaiting my dna200 to experience this TC ss Vape

Ya, I'll have to check out the video. Has to be an easier way than what I did. I'm more bummed about stripping the threads. I know what I'm doing, and it took very little. Pretty surprised by that. I tend to error on the easy side. I'm not heavy handed wrenching stuff. I'll e-mail Wet Vapes and see what they can do. I mean it's my fault, but hopefully they can get me some parts. I'll probably order another one.

The main thing I liked about the Crown was the stock coils were so good why bother. Well.... ya, these are better. It would not be better on the Crown RBA. But the dual coils on a build deck is really nice. I know I don't want to go to dripping RDAs, but this is really nice.

I actually use my Crius more than the crown. Crazy talk I know but it's true. Pretty much k use the crown when my Crius is down for cleaning or building/ wicking

That's pretty much what I did. I definitely need better scissors if I'm going to stick with it. That a big part of my problem. The end result was very similar. Maybe my strips were not as big. I use jap pads. Peeled off the outside.

More of it was just being a rookie. Took a long time. I can't really complain about the deck. I see what you mean about the room. It was pretty tight with the coils I made. But overall, certainly better than any RDA.

The bases are cheap. I'll probably order another one with another tank to have one built and ready to go. I emailed Wet Vapes to see what parts I can get to replace. I don't exactly have trust in the tank I have now that it will stay together or not leak.

But ya, seriously... the vape is very nice. If I can get my build down better... it will be better than the Crown pre mades.

It's just much smoother. Part of that might be the wonky pre made coils and nickle legs, but just smooth.

And I definitely love the juice controls. The fact you can close them should alleviate any problems with not so perfect wicking and leaving it sit around. So that is a big plus.

My only complaint is when it's dark it's hard to see if your juice control is open or closed. Lolol. But Vape it long enough you will find out. Hahahha. I had that happen once

Burnt hit? Must have the juice control set closed. since the first version I've still not gotten a dry hit off of this one.
I did rebuild the bellus last night only to disassemble, clean it and put it in the "tobe sold" box

Glad you got it working in the end! It's definitely the easiest deck I've ever built on, and the wicking is at least easier than the Billow. I'm going to use SS when I rebuild, but so far so good. I do find, though, that as soon as the juice level hits the chamber I get one big leak, so I have to remember to fiddle with the juice control right before that happens.

I was getting some burnt hits after vaping on it for a bit. Come to find out I needed more wicks to hold extra juice. Weird but it makes sense

So I rewicked my build. My old one looked OK, but I did burn it a bit. I got some good scissors, and wicked it like Mike Vapes. I took a little off the bottom corner of the point for the curve. I can just see wick in the holes. Barely. It's going good on my D2 at 60w.

I definitely cross threaded my tank. It's crooked. The tank part is stripped. The base looks good, but I have no confidence in either now. Desk duty only for now. We'll see what Wet Vapes says.

So ???.... When you vape, do you have air bubbles equally from the holes? Seems my two front holes always bubble, but the read very little. I', not sure of the orientation of the coils. If that is separate coils front and rear, or if it is side to side. Never thought about it till now. If the coil is getting juice from mainly one side I guess that works. If one is not getting much, it's a candidate for burnt hit. Just curious how your tanks go.

I have never had the air bubbles equally in any atty. granted I've never taken the time to totally pay attention, either.
The lemo2 was my most difficult arty to wick right, and when I t was running flawless one side wicked well the other one not so much.

My aqua2 and erlk were both my easier to work with (for me) ad both required bonsai tree style trimming but bubbled all over the map an never gave me wicking issues.

Ya, air equalizing probably does not have to be equal. All 4 ports could wick equal, but air goes out easiest hole. I'm guessing. I'll stop worrying about it... unless I get a burnt hit and take it apart. I could see which one and how it was going.

It would be perfect timing because today is the last day of 10% off(coupon XMAS) and they show "Ships next day" in stainless. I have 2 Billow V2's and love them, but apparently some actually like the Crius better. If that's the case I'll probably be $26 lighter.

Think I'll venture on over to our section for Regulated mods and see if anything jumps out at me that I can justify buying to the wife! Been quite a while since I've checked out anything mod wise, been extremely satisfied with my IPV 3 li for a number of months now. I didn't think I'd ever get used to the size but I really like it now (that's what she said) so that's good stuff.
