Dupree (The VaporCat) is a hunter... squirrels, rabbits, birds, moles, you name it. He's clever enough to use tarps and other cover as a blind. When an unsuspecting squirrel comes by, he shoots out from under it and attacks. He showed up as a stray and is my constant companion.
She's gotten several chipmunks, quite a few mice, and once, an actual RAT! (YAY Tuxie!), along with a lot of snakes, lizards, and frogs. And quite a few birds, unfortunately, including one very unfortunate cardinal -- hence my remark about green feathers; that garage appeared upholstered in red feathers! After that was when I started keeping her in till 10-11am, because I cherish the cardinals in our backyard, they're such fun to watch in the winter when there is no color anywhere except a couple of red males and their reddish-brown harem.
I wouldn't care how many bluejays she got, but the cardinals manage to keep those noisy bastards outta here. View attachment 66817
While kittens and bunnies of similar color are cute, none of the above are my cats. My cats would have already eaten the rabbits...
But baby bunnies... yeah, she'd have those for a snack. I have just the rabbit to entice your girl tooWith mine, it would depend on the size of the rabbit -- the bigass bunnies we have around here would probably just make Tuxie run hide under the bed.But baby bunnies... yeah, she'd have those for a snack.

I think the horrible late summer drought we've had must have starved them or something.OMG those give me the creepy crawlies....LOL
She loves the sound they make, and how they'll try to get away, but not very energetically, so she can pounce on them again and again.

But then I'd have to change my little rhyme:

Awwww. I just love kittehs in hats.Still gotta get one for Tuxie!
But then I'd have to change my little rhyme:
"Tuxie-wuxie is a cat;
Tuxie-wuxie has no hat;
but Tuxie-wuxie's big and fat!"
Based, of course, on "fuzzy wuzzy was a bear," which I've always loved.

Yeah, I can relate... the only places I don't have hair is the palms of my hands and the soles of my feet. Perhaps why I got the nickname "Fuzzy."my husband is like the HAIR MONSTER!
