No .. these knuckleheads glued the damn thing. I asked them why the hell they did this ... easy answer, because they had no prior knowledge of authentic and did not understand that this key is a removable tool to be used for battery. They thought that it was just a loose part that had fallen off on the authentic they cloned this from.
This is my undying annoyance with China .. they do not conduct any sort of research about the authentics they clone. They receive it, scan it, and start cloning ... end of story

I have confirmed that Yosen is in fact the manufacturer of the Infinite's not yet released Zero Modz clone. As a matter fact, Yosen is also the manufacturer of a few of Infiinite's products including the Infinite SAT22 Genesis style atomizer, which Yosen also sent me with my Zero order.
I have reason to believe that Infinite may be dropping the Zero from their planned new releases due to all of the exposure and direct sale that Yosen has received as a result of this Zero Modz clone. I know from prior experiences that Infinite does not like it when one of their manufacturers does direct trade with the market .. There is no reason for any vendor to pay Infinite's marked up prices when the Zero Modz can be sourced direct from Yosen.

Apparently the tolerances were just really tight, and it is not glued in at all. I wish Yosen would have said "No Nicole, you are mistaken. We did not glue it"

Nice. I placed an order Friday... (looks) to be a day or so before all the links started being released saying how great this clone is and where to get it. Its amazing how fast this thing has blown up on the web within the last 3 days. I had to search and search just to even find this community haha! Hope i got my order in before the rush so i dont have to wait. i assume their website would say when they sold their limit on their mass order.

Same here! I decided to buy from them vs. some other vape sites who were taking pre orders and raising the price at least 60 bucks. I was emailing with the manufacturer and could have bought from them but i wanted to buy from a site that at least i knew had been up and running with some good reviews. Excited to get this but cant beat the fact that the price isnt jacked way up yet.

I was just about to post that .. why take it apart and smash it? Seems immature. Clearly he got a bum unit, but lets not act like this doesn't happen with all products, clones and authentics. He should have returned it especially since he paid for it ..
I usually like Shozza's reviews, but his guesstimations about wattage accuracy is not something that I would do. But this also why I don't put up reviews 3 days after receiving a product, because you need to spend time with them, and test them across different atomizers etc .. so far nothing about my early opinions regarding the two that I have received has changed. But I will not post a review until next Monday.

If, by no one, you mean me it's because I hadn't seen it. Although, after watching it, I probably wouldn't share it anyway because there's absolutely no useful information in it to be honest.
Also, I wouldn't expect to recieve a bum unit at all, ever.

Well Shozza, just shot himself in the foot on obtaining his unicorn, Carlos will make sure he never gets one lol. Well maybe the poor review and the dramatic ending will help him out in that regard. I think he should of returned it for another, and if that one was a dud as well the hammer would have been better justified.
I will certainly be looking to see if his experience was isolated or not though, I mean duds do happen, but so do janky mods. I hope it was just simply a dud as I am rooting for this one to be a overall win because I like the form.

Seriously though it looks straight forward to replace that board if need be.
Quality control is questionable with some Chinese products imo. I mean look at the ipv2 that Phil Busardo was sent. Most ppl did not have his experience but that is what so many talked about before the second version came out.
I think he should of gave it a second chance by getting a replacement since it was admittedly a clone of his unicorn. If the replacement was crap too then sure destroy it out of continued irritation.
I look forward to your opinion when yours arrives as well. Now you have some ideas of what to look for immediately.
I hope so and hope this was just a case of terrible QC from the manufacturer. He probably should've tested a second but I imagine the frustration.

Agreed .. Most definitely put it out there that you have a crap unit, but I don't get why he didn't return it. Because consumers want to hear if manufacturers are standing behind their products as well. Lemons happen, most us know this, but what we care about is whether we will be taken care of when it happens.
I did send Shozza video link to Yosen yesterday, and they did respond. They said they were aware that there were some shoddy pieces in the first batch, and said that they had spoken to "Alex" and were going to resolve it. I am assuming that Alex is Shozza .. if they do take care of him then I suppose he will post an update at some point??
Apparently there have been changes made between batches. I spoke to Timmy Chin yesterday and he said that his key is undeniable glued in, and not like mine which was just a tight fit.

After Shozza's vid I installed several different atties on both, Piece 1 is perfect, and and Piece 2 does have a larger 510 than piece 1 but it is nothing like what Shozza is reporting. More like what Timmy said about his "not the best" but far from being unsuable.There are no atties just falling into the hole, and I actually have the Rose V2 stumpy on piece 2 (Same as Shozza used in his video) .. I will try to capture the difference between the two pieces in my Review.

Pbusardo's review of the IPV V2 was actually the first thing that came to mind while I watched Shozza's vid ... that was pure poo that Phil received. I think Yosen got the message loud and clear though .. as quick as you rise is as quick as you can fall too, and bad news travels faster than the good.

Thinking about it in a production line environment. The frames prior to being bent to right angles are probably machined drilled and tapped. It's likely Shozza's isn't the only one that was drilled and tapped to the wrong size. A worker must have stuck the wrong size bit into a machine, and probably tapped hundreds of them wrong. One would think they would at the very least, have some sort of simple QC program going on.

No one has them "live" right now except in Malaysia, they were actually the first to get it, and are sucking up the supply from what I understand from Yosen ... The Zero is produced in batches, and as per Yosen it takes 7-10 days to ship any order, regardless of size. It took 11 days for my two samples to ship, although part of the delay was for packaging that I didn't actually receive. So technically the samples were ready to ship after 7 days.
Focal is not a pre-order as in they are not waiting for you to buy, and then placing an order once they hit a MOQ. According to Doris their Zero order was made prior to listing for sale.
Speaking of packaging .. Yosen did send me pics over the weekend of the new packaging that I did not receive

From what Yosen told to me I did get the impression that this issue presented itself on a few pieces .. While neither of the two that I received are like what Shozza received, I can tell that each piece that I have came off of two different production/assembly lines. So I agree with your feelings on this ..

Thanks again for posting pictures of the internals. I wish they would sell just the casing without the shit board. That looks easy as hell to work on. Do you have any idea on the eta for focal getting them in stock? I'm not sure what the 15 day period is for them per the website.

*forgive the slightly blurry 1st pic as this is not easy to capture with one hand*
Tested 7W, 10W, 20W, and 30W @1.1 ohms and the results were :
2.8v display/2.79 inline meter = 7.12W
3.4v display/3.37 inline meter= 10.32W
4.8v display/4.77 inline meter= 20.68W
5.9v display/5.99 inline meter= 32.61W
So, these early test show that this chip is slightly over powered, and would explain my early statements to a buddy in which I said the device felt like it had more "punch" to it at any given setting. In my review I will of course have more test results into the sub ohm range, but so far I am not disappointed in this clone .. and with the ability to step down voltage output, this is for sure a BIG PLUS over the authentic with Evolv DNA 30 that does not step down.
See ... Yosen changed something, and its no longer a 1:1 clone, some would even call this an improvement, lol
Hmm, I wonder if that is the same "DNA30" board used in my Chana30 from Focal?
The board looks slightly different, but it seems to behave the same. I happen to have a 1.1 ohm Orchid v4 build ATM, and tried the same power settings as your test. All were the same except the 20W was showing 4.7 and 30W showed 5.8, so pretty damn close. Using a fully charged Samsung 25R.
