Unless someone mentions a particular flavoring is really strong, I usually start my standalones at 2% and work from there. For an add in, I work down from the main flavor percentage, if that makes sense. I'm sure you'll get more experienced answers than mine, though. Good luck with it! It's fun to just experiment :)

Yes, enjoyed TFAs sweet, bready and deliciously buttery Cinnamon Danish in the days of innocence/naivety. But ditched the diketones and looking for no bad stuff. Walnut but no AP? That peaks the curiosity; figured AP would be a key. Hmmm, yeah I see where you're going with the walnut... Interesting. Hadn't considered Ducat, but will play around with that. Tball, I'm fine with the TFA but avoid any bad stuff. Considered a trace of FA's bread crust. Even wondering if trace of Cam Blend might create illusion of yeast, and any approach to knock down banana in Banana Nut Bread.

mmm cam blend.. cam t cam t ultimate??? you could try, but keep it under .35%
cant vouch for any of ina's flavorings, LV.. but pretty sure anything bready from anything other than fa will have at least a trace..

Thanks, Huck! I have carts going with BCV, ECX & ELM and trying to reach free shipping with all three. Maybe they'll mix more tonight and some in stock tomorrow...

ETA... Anyone know of any discount codes? ;)

BTW aldenf, you can also check RTSVapes.com. They have a decent FA selection -- and many happy customers. They may have your missing flavors -- and this way you can have four shopping carts. LOL.

That's a lot of carts going! Sounds like you're in for some real fun. :)

Yeah... I was trying to keep my initial DIY purchase at $100 or less. Yeah... FAIL. I figure I'll get enough to keep me busy through the holidays. I would have purchased some expensive e-liquid for Christmas anyway. I'm throwing that in the DIY coffers now. :D

Still trying to keep it to $150... Maybe $175 ;)

So, I'm getting two 30ml samples of nic, VaporsTek (2 15ml) & NicSelect. How long can I keep Nic in the plastic bottles they ship in without seriously affecting quality? I figure they'll be gone by the middle of January, at the latest, with the learning curve and experimentation and all. I know we want to store Nic in glass and will eventually pic up some appropriate bottles.

they should be alright sitting on your counter in the plastic bottles ;)
it's not a large amount and if you are really worried, put them in a dark cabinet..

I buy Nude Nicotine, and they say you can keep it in the plastic amber bottles for up to 6 months (preferably in the fridge or freezer). Sounds like yours will be gone long before that!

THANKS SMOKY BLUE!!!
I put together an all FA Recipe that I think I'll like but would like to get some input or suggestions from the experienced mixologists on this forum. SEE:

Mandarin Cream Hazelnut Cookie FA
Caramel (FA) .5%
Cookie (FA) 2.0%
FA Vanilla Tahiti 1.0%

Hazelnut (FA) 1.0%
Mandarin (FA) 3.0%
Torrone (FA) 1.0%
Vienna Cream (FA) 2.0%

Strength: 20 mg
PG/VG-ratio: 35/65
Flavor total: (10.5%)

Was wondering if the Cookie has enough AP in it to enhance the hazelnut or should I add .5% AP?
Really appreciate any help or suggestions! This forum has been great for a newbie DIY!

Did you try it?

I feel your pain, aldenf. After months (literally, months--since July!) of intense consideration, tonight I took a leap and spent @170- on nicotine, VG, PG and DIY "hardware". (Gloves and syringes and stuff). I now have what feels like it will be a lifetime supply of base fluid ingredients coming my way--but I haven't spent a penny on flavorings yet :/ I "had" to do it that way, to take advantage of certain sales and free shipping.

I'm tempted to continue the splurge while I have the nerve (and the bloody marys in me). On the other hand, since the whole black friday consumer extravaganza is coming up, maybe there will be opportunities for significant savings. Always, I find reasons to waffle!

LOL... hold tight. :D

If I were in your shoes theres about 80 FA flavors I would get, about 10 TFA, about 5 Caps, and a few "heres and theres" from other flavor companies since you've jumped in with both feet anyway... :)

I can picture myself making a massive buy like that in about a week, yeah, :D

,You're not the only one trying to hold out for that!

Oh you know I'm not! Funny though, I only today remembered it was a thing--black friday, I mean, and that it was almost upon us. Where I live now (small, rural, remote) there is none of the frenzy that ensues the minute after we GOBBLEGOBBLEGOBBLE down T-Day Dinner in Boston, where I'm from.

The biggest store I can get to these days without taking a boat or a plane is a deluxe colmado--little bigger than a 7-11. Really, since I don't have even a TV anymore, the only thing keeping that precious spark of swinish consumerism alive is in me is the internet--and lovely people like all of you. :)

Somebody that knows the real White Rabbit needs to try this out so I can either give it a name myself or label it a clone because my wife and I have been hooked on it for the last few days.

3% Coconut
2% Cookie
1% Vienna Cream
1% Marzipan
1% Pineapple

Its a little too sweet the first day but comes together well the next. I like that I can go at lower wattage and get more coconut and maybe even pick out the pineapple a bit or I can go up to higher wattages and just get that super creamy mystery flavor.

So I have 3 carts loaded that I'm ready to pull the credit card switch on. One only has two flavorings in it because the other two sites didn't have them. Total comes to just about $200 AFTER coupons. Should I wait to checkout? Is a vender like ECX likely to throw out a discount code better than the 10% it already has?

That's so cool. Hey, I wonder if they might tell you if you email them and ask ? Tell them all if us want to know over at VU ....... Hell , it's worth a shot.

If put in a big order for 30ml bottles if they did an 18 or 20% coupon.

Looks delicious, Rygon! I used to like white rabbit (until I went off it) - this doesn't sound like a clone to me, but it does sound much better :)
