After grilling some Sausages for dinner on the back patio and nice dinner sat out on the front porch and enjoyed some of this cool pleasant weather.

I have my coffee but wish I were on the back deck this nice cool morning instead of at work!

Well after an early morning call and helping someone out with a Computer issue this morning on the Back Patio with coffee to start the day. After he left the bushes in the backyard that needed trimming bothered me so I said I will do a few. 7 hours later and 75 feet of bushes trimmed this boy is hurting~! Yard looks lovely but fuck me I am sore~! Wine time~! Was time before I even hit the shower.................

Went outside on the front porch, watched the morning birds gobble up their morning breakfast. The little hummers are so cute to watch. While vaping and drinking my morning tea :)

A couple of weeks ago, was on the back porch watching a female hummer getting a drink and a male hummer flew up and jumped her, got his groove on, LOL, it was cute. First time I saw little hummers getting it on, LOL.

It was unusually cool this morning. Sat on the back porch in the darkness and listened to the police sirens in the city and realized I hate living here. I used to have several acres of trees and wildlife. Now i don't even have squirrels.

Yes, I sat on the back porch drinking coffee and vaping for a little bit this morning but the Sun was out for me. Was checking on my gardens to see if any critters got into them and did any damage. If you want some Squirrels @jwill I have hoards of them here~! Wish I could send some to you but these suckers come back unless you relocate them hundreds of miles.

I dont even have trees for them to live. Just one puny ass excuse for a tree in the front yard. Its depressing.

If you want I can send some Acorns at the end of the summer. Probably take a few years to grown an Oak Tree.......... ;)

I plan on moving away from here. We are waiting on some development to complete in the area so we get top dollar and we are gone. Just biding the time.

I was heavily into BBQ for a few years - that's actually when I got the name CrazyChef - all the crazy stuff I would 'Q. Even had my own BBQ joint for a little while. Another one of my favorites are atomic buffalo turds - also known as ABTs. They were really big on the BBQ circuit, until they became so popular that they became too generalized and every freakin' housewife in America started making dumbed down versions of them in their ovens. A true bastardization of what used to be an incredible smoked delicacy. On the circuit they were referred to as "BBQ Crack".

ABT's really enjoy......however takes so long to prepare

If you do them correctly, then yeah, the prep is fairly time consuming. But when they come out of the smoker...
This is a lousy pic, but for some reason it's the only one I have of the ABTs that I've personally made.

85°F here when I was outside Detailing Dad's car so I can be the Chauffeur tonight for his 90th Birthday Celebration~!

@CrazyChef v2.0 thinking of making the ABT's for Fathers Day care to share the recipe? Or do have to use one offline? What are the Smokies one recipe calls for?

Sure!

I take fresh jalapenos, and cut them in half lengthwise. Pull out the seeds and ribs. If you want them to be spicy, leave some of the rib in there. I'll usually leave random mounts, so it's kind of a Russian roulette as far as how spicy any one will be. :D

Then, take some room temperature cream cheese, add in a little granulated garlic and a little cayenne pepper and mix well. Use this to filled the jalapeno halves evenly.

Then take a Lit'l Smokie sausage, and lightly press it into the cream cheese "canal". Take 1/2 strip of room temperature raw bacon and wrap it tightly around the turd and secure with a toothpick. It'll stretch pretty well as long as it's warm enough. You're better off using regular bacon here instead of the thick cut kind. Then, stick 'em in a smoker until the bacon is done. The temp should be right around 275°.

You can also cook them on a charcoal grill with offset (definitely not direct) heat.

If you're using a gas grill, only heat up one side (med/low temp), and place some woodchips in heavy duty foil and wrap it into a ball and poke holes into it. Don't soak the woodchips - I don't know who started this idea, but they're idiots. Place this near the flame to get the smoke going, with the ABTs on the other side of the grill.

The thing is, these NEED to be smoked in order to get their true flavor. Something really wonderful happens to the cream cheese and bacon (as well as the pepper) that just cannot be achieved in any other way.

Ah so they never get turned and get slow cooked or smoked~! Time to pull the smoker out of the shed~! I was wondering how the cream cheese stays inside. Thank buddy~! I will let you know if I make them.

Well the consensus is I will be making them for Fathers Day~! Going to be scouring the Supermarket Websites to see who has the Smokies. Hillshire Farms is probably what they have unless I hit one of the gourmet places like Trader Joes.

Some of the recipes are exactly like what you are saying and looking around I see others with both sides of the peppers used in each Popper. Have to make sure I take pics when I do these~!

Been a while since I used my smoker but I remember the bags of wood chips say to soak them in water.
It kills the true smoke flavor. Don't do it.

Use the Hillshire Farms ones for classic ABTs.

There are tons of variations these days. The ones I described are the original way of doing them.

Out on the back patio under the awning on the patio Grilling some Potato wedges to go with the Filer Mignon for dinner. Slow roasting the taters while drinking a glass of wine and vaping. Get some nice clouds in humid weather.

Went and sat on someones back porch for a little while today and thought of this thread. It was hot as hell outside but the company was good and his wife made some fresh peach tea. Got to spend a few hours enjoying the wisdom of a much older and wiser friend. Happy Sunday everyone.
