Forget who told me here that they didn’t work.

The SXK Mission tip was my first choice when I got the BB...

Still would like to get them, but would be a shame if they didn’t work.
Forever, the only things that weren't cross compatible between the SXK and the authentic were the key threads and the body screw threads. NO idea why. Made no sense to me. Well, the JMK hybrid tips worked in both.

it would be cool if the keys were now compatible, but then begs the question even more of why not all along?

Yesterday's vape mail. I guess I'll find out how well Cerakote holds up.

Should hold well...

Only a few things you make experience over time.

Porous: Dirt and grime will show more than the anodized units

Chips: once there is a chip... it can become problematic, but that is completely dependent on how well they cured the cerakote and prepped the aluminum.

Other than that... cerakote is pretty resilient to table rash... still happens, but not as easily as the anodizing.

Looks really vibrant compared to their anodized gray/clear coated

I just tried my authentic key in both of my 2020 SXK billets, Evolv verification in the last 6 months and it didn't fit either one.

Maybe it's a pre Rev.4 key and they were different or something. I don't know.

Saw this last night

Available from Atmizoo, going to order a set

I really think they’re missing something not making them in the color ways of BBs

I'm looking for a SXK DNA 60 in either red or blue if anybody is looking to let one go. I got a Black one and three Bantam Boxes. Really enjoying these things....

Hopefully something will come along. Thanks. The one you linked to above looks like a sweet deal for someone. It won't last long....

I snagged a red one from that outfit in England a few weeks ago and now they're gone. I kept putting it off, but I'm glad I finally did. I'll keep an eye out.

I have a genuine Fawkes SS-B that I would sell for slightly less than RRP with shipping if you're of a mind for an original. It is 9/10 condition. There is not a mark on it and the boro still has the original paper tab that it ships with. The boro has never been used.

PM me if you're interested.

3F shipped my SXK EVL ALIEN already.
=============================================
In case anybody hasn't heard and it matters to them, apparently there's a known issue with the authentic Truss and they are shipping out replacement positive insulators to address it.

Wasn't getting any notifications, so I'm a bit lost. BBV is switching to cerkote so there will be no more in 2020?

Cerakote is speculation as far as I know. Last I heard they were having trouble with their anodizing produce (hence the variation in colors from run to run) and were looking for another option. They also said there wouldn't be any more produced until sometime 2021.
They should take some of that time and designs 21700 option. ?

Thanks. I know I am in the minority, but I am one that doesn't want to see 21700. Highest I ever run mine is about 24w and a whopping 6amp draw :giggle: so I would rather not see the size change. That said, 21700 probably wouldn't keep me away........

Thing about if they went 21700 is it would also increase the boro capacity.

As it is now it can be increased... but not by a lot.

Someone a while back milled out the 18650 to accept a 21700, it was ultra tight... but showed it could be done.

Additionally 3mm in length and width 5mm in height would allow the 21700 and you could picture it as the body size would be the new door size.

The overall size would need + 4x6x4 to allow a 8ml boro.

All modders would have to do is make an extension of current bridges.

But I could see the use of the 5000mAh 21700’s over our mediocre 3000mAh and increased boro capacity... at the cost of a few mm and a few grams

Nothing wrong with it now besides capacity for me.

It’s not an all day device for me, and more of a 4-5hr out and about mod.

Bridges yes. But panels? Useless. For me there is a lot of money tied up there. And inners? If it changed the dimensions of this, I would lose it!. Refills are easy. Don't mind it a bit. As it is for my mtl set ups all require multiple fills per day, with the boro being one of the easiest and least frequent.

Seems it wouldnt change a thing for you really.

All your V4 would still have all the stuff... you want a larger... if it becomes available, then that is on you and your wallet... wouldnt make the other stuff obsolete, just not compatible.

I'd rock one... but thats me, not all into the extras... so my wallet thanks me ;)

I mean its similar to the 2019 Chevy 1500 Silverado fully loaded Quad Cab 4x4 Decked out with Fox Shocks, Rims, Tires, Tint, Stereo upgrade...

Just cause the 2021 is out wouldnt piss me off in the slightest ;)

True, but obsolete when the elder mods decide to die ;)

It would make sense for you because you run yours rdtl at higher power right? The bigger battery and higher capacity would help you.

14-24w depending if I am using the 1.5-2.5af

I just take a ton of hits cause it’s not as fully atomized nic as my 1.5mg is on my mechs at 140w+... even when it’s 9mg

Now I probably could stick a fused or micro alien and jack the wattage up and larger air flow and not vape it as much.

Yeah. DHL didn't show up. So tomorrow I guess.

I'll probably open 1 for photos for the fundraiser, other one will go straight to giftee. So I can't offer reviews beyond hand feel and finish

I think it will be a fine mod... as much as I dislike the dude, I never can say a bad thing about his design skills.

His choice of materials sometimes were of question, but that is more of his partnership with Stimy Vapor making choices of cheaper materials to maximize profit margins.

Yes, stimy shipped them with wrong orings. 1mm from ultem tanks on the ppe which need the 1.2mm

All included. But a few had juice dumps until the dots were connected

Want to hear something awful?

I was going to join the recent MMV list for a Palm... but they don’t make the Palm DNA75, only the Palm+

Since they had 25% off... but not a fan of the DNA75C size or in need of 21700...

So my hunt continues for an old Black Delrin DNA75 working or not, prefer not since it will be dirt cheap... then just send it back to be repaired and refreshed like new

I just sold one. Had terrible battery life. Good mod though.

With the current PMTA requirements a 21700 version will never happen. REV 4 Billets are from 2016 and can get through the regs with minimal requirements. This is the same thing that is happening to Evolv and their use of mini-USB instead of USB-C.

I do think that BBV will go to Cerakote or some similar bake on coating since they said that the current colors are now done which implies that a new coating type is in the works. So my collection of 26 Billet Boxes is the last of their kind.

well crash down on our hopes with logic why dont you ;)

Changing to cerakote would affect their PMTA, since its not what the pre-PMTA design in totality would of been.

But that is their problem haha...

Would be nice to offer it in a DIY build... 21700 that is... then its not even a device, just a billet piece of aluminum

I mean, even the change of the firing button board they did, would have to go through the process... so who knows if BBV is doing the whole deal of submitting... I truly doubt they are.

You're correct in that. So it must be all about Doug. Nothing to do with the PMTA.
