I havent seen anything, but I dont really know how to navigate reddit very well, just using google.
Im with you on reddit, the site is a clusterfuck for me.
But I didn't see anything on shipping yet.
But the Ian guy just posted some crap about DNA screen btmp
Why am I not shocked that the guy who gave the company the biggest part of the black eye and reason for skepticism has nothing better to do that post shit about dma themes for a mod that no one has yet...
I can see the superfans being all about it. But they've pissed off and fucked over more people than they have superfans.
Maybe im wrong to look at it that way, but, fuck....
Lol. I felt like a blind man in a bra shopLol. Im glad Im not the only person that reddit is a fucking rat maze for.
It literally took me days to figure out how to find the classifieds and search a specific "subreddit" which is basically just a link on a page full of links to my inexperienced reddit eyes lol.
I fear for your vape sanity my friend .. Here is Doctors Scary's recommendation.. No longer do pre-orders and more importantlyIm with you on reddit, the site is a clusterfuck for me.

Lol, new people to reddit get confused easily, but once you've been on for a while, the way it functions make sense. There's a lot of things you can do on it that you can't do on a forum like this. In a way it's sort of an open source forum to allow people to write external search and sort functions for example.
Hahahahah!!!!!I fear for your vape sanity my friend .. Here is Doctors Scary's recommendation.. No longer do pre-orders and more importantly

36 million user accts. 9300 current active subs (unique forums), over 800,000 since it started., 7.8 billion monthly pageviews, 209 countries represented.etc... /r/electronic_cigarette has over 100,000 subscriptions, and thats one of a few dozen vape forums.I can work a PS3, cell phone, a Mod, and a Surface Pro3. That is about the extent of my technilogical prowess lol.
So I truthfully have no idea what those features actually are lol. Im sure that once you become familiar with it that it is a very navigable and user friendly forum (is reddit considered a forum?)
Small steps for me lol, I really like that it has about every thing you could ever need info wise on just about every subject if you can find the right "area".

Right! And they are going to the warehouse in Arizona instead of San Francisco.lol
so the units that were suppose to leave china on Monday are still waiting customs clearance? and its like wednesday now in china

-albeit perhaps im being douchey again there; but,......
Hahah!!! I did as well. I lived in Tucson for two years after Katrina blew me away. This time of year I'd rather go to AZ than San Fran as well lol (as long as it isn't Flagstaff). I lived in AZ for a few years. All joking aside, I hope this comes to a conclusion soon for all that are waiting!
Cheers,
Steve
I was in Mesa. That Phoenix metro area is quite crowded now. I hear it's pretty nice down in Tucson area, especially by the Santa Catalina mountains. Where I really liked it was Sedona, very nice, not crowded, and the temperature was just a bit cooled than the oven of Mesa in the summer.Hahah!!! I did as well. My company had an office In phoenix, that city was like a mini houston-concrete jungle. LolI was in Mesa. That Phoenix metro area is quite crowded now. If that is the case, then they have already been on board an aircraft and must have cleared any FAA hurdles from China to LA, one would surmise. I know there are a lot of air cargo flights direct from China to Sky Harbor airport in Phoenix where there is a large US customs facility.yeah they could be in LA waiting to get clearance to get flown to AZ
if thats the case just send them ground it be easier
I know, right?!Nice, I hope it all goes well. If they don't go out to people until next Tuesday, I think it won't get to some of you until after Christmas. I'm sure as long as it goes out, it will be a welcome relief, no matter if it's the day before or a few days after. Hope you get it before though, it will be a nice gift!

from what I got out the deal was, they were waiting for 'exit china customs' because of the size of the shipment, then flying via DHL direct to phoenix. After that through USA customs, them to the USA warehouse. Then to us.From reading that, it's hard to tell if they are still in China awaiting customs clearance. If they are in California waiting to be released from customs or if they flew direct to AZ awaiting customs. How hard is it to get a straight answer from those guys lol.
Cheers,
Steve
That's what I got out of it too. My post was being a little sarcastic since it seemed like it took a few attempts before that came out. Seemed like a bit of a tap dance there. Maybe I'm being to tough on them, I don't think so, but maybe lolfrom what I got out the deal was, they were waiting for 'exit china customs' because of the size of the shipment, then flying via DHL direct to phoenix. For whatever reason, I'm believing that one. I've done alot of international business, but nit international shipping. Still, it makes sense to me.
I'm torn between being an assailed and trying to be a super nice guy, slot lf people got fucked, .they completely fucked the frog, but if this comes through its a game changer. I knew it was a risky preorder and totally lost my cool, which, I'm not proud of, I preach about,' getting what you asked for.' and not taking a chance unless you're willing to lose. That's what I got out of it too. Your right buddy, that's exactly how it goes when getting large shipments from over seas. It has to clear Chinese customs to be able to board the plane and then clear it one more time here in the states. Now depending on what airport it lands on is how long the wait is for it to be cleared. From my past experiences the fastest was Chicago then LAX followed closely by JFK.from what I got out the deal was, they were waiting for 'exit china customs' because of the size of the shipment, then flying via DHL direct to phoenix. After that through USA customs, them to the USA warehouse. Then to us.

I don't understand why he can't be clear about anything. How hard would it be to say "yes, they left China on monday, and are sitting at customs in LA awaiting release as we speak". Do lipo batteries have to be cleared by the FAA after every stop over? I don't know, just not clear what he actually means, and I hate it when people can't give you a straight answer to a simple question. Like some of the teachers my kids have. Ask a question and you get this long drawn out meaningless answer. It's like "just answer my fucking question damn it"
What do you think the purpose of a pre order is? It's to begin sales, money, before product is ready. It can be to see how much product demand is before release. Mean8ng they don't charge. But if you are doing a pre order, and you are pretty paying... Well, then that's what it is.The biggest thing that makes me mad about this whole pre-order problem here is that people were charged before the product was shipped. Can't say if this was the case with the CM directly but I was one burned for the Reuleaux DNA200. The correct manner of charging customers is not to do so until the product actually ships. That is how a truly professional business operates. I should have know better! That's what someone does to use customer's money to cover expenses instead of having a proper business model in place prior to causing the turmoil that we're witnessing here. At this point I'm in the PayPal wait list.
Lesson Learned!
Cloudmaker was fairly clear in the fact that they were a startup, and I know I said it somewhere that I knew I was taking a risk. Preorders though In vaping have always had some degree of risk.- imhoAnd that's my point. Startup companies shouldn't use customer money to open the doors with. That is what the concept has evolved into due to nature of the fast growing number of people getting into the vaping business. Pre-order sales should be used as a means of locking in guaranteed orders so that you can then go to your manufacturing partners with legitimate income revenue expectations. I'm not trying to upset anyone but if you don't have the necessary financial capital to get a company off the ground then maybe there should be another plan in place rather than using customer's money before delivery.
