Does Dance=Waltz?

La valse de l amour (The Waltz of Love) - Édith Piaf

It's the waltz of love
That we sing in the suburbs
It's the romance
That everyone dances
Waiting for love.
There's always a heart
Which is searching for another heart,
So begins
A romance.
It's the waltz of love.

He lived just opposite her house.
She lived just opposite his house.
He thought : "Oh my God, she's pretty!"
She thought : "There's nothing better than him."

It's the waltz of love
That we sing in the suburbs
It's the romance
That everyone dances
Waiting for love.
There's always a heart
Which is searching for another heart,
So begins
A romance.
It's the waltz of love.

There's always a boy for a girl.
There's always a girl for a boy,
So, for the little that a girl be kind
The story arranges itself in a tender way.*

It's the waltz of love
That we sing in the suburbs
It's the romance
That everyone dances
Waiting for love.
There's always a heart
Which is searching for another heart,
So begins
A romance.
It's the waltz of love.

Jimi never came back. I think I upset him.

It's why I never applied to the foreign service, as my parents suggested to me back in the day. I said "what, you want me to try to be a diplomat, and then we end up in a nuclear war?"
No you didn't upset me in any way, just busy tryin to take care of jean, she has been feelin sick every day, I think they waited way to long. She has been passin a lot of blood through the drain for about 3 weeks so I have her grounded to couch/bed/easy chair and I have to make up the slack pretty much.

Last Christmas - Wham!

You've all been Whammed!
Wooops, hope nobody was playing Whamageddon :teehee:

It's a game that started years ago when people in Britain couldn't go more than a few minutes without hearing the song being played somewhere. The rules are to try to make it al the way to December 24th without hearing the original Wham version though covers and remixes are OK.

I really wish you had someone around that could help you out. The stress of having to do everything yourself can't be good for you.
Keeping you and Jean both in my thoughts.

I'm in the middle of trying to make some soup, got my veggies diced and ready to sauté, now I need to peel my sweet taters and cut 'em up. Be back soon.

Doesn't this look good

Candy Cane Brownie Trifle

Everyone loves it. It looks really nice in individual vessels or you can make it in one big trifle bowl.

It is so rich, you only need a small serving. (Unless you're me 😅)

Dee says, "Our middle son requested your candy cane brownie trifle for Christmas. It was crazy delicious: the brownies with the fudge running through it, and the cream with crushed candy canes. We felt the same as you in that it is best if put together just before eating. I mean the fudge was still warm clinging on the brownies, the whipped cream light and fluffy, and the crushed candy cane still crunchy. Understand, the next day I was still stuffing my face every time I opened the fridge “to get something out”. Still, I do love the different textures on the first day! I’ve been reading your blog for several years now and haven’t tried any recipe that wasn’t a keeper!"

I can't have this kinda stuff but my eyes sure can :giggle:

Jimi, I posted something for you on the cooking thread. Have holiday treats, stay healthy.

Luv,
BD

Good thing - I've never cooked with turmeric but needed it for a recipe. I looked at a little dinky bottle for $5 (less than an ounce) and a 2.5 oz bottlefor $8. Debating getting the small one since I didn't know what I would use it for, but my brain refuses to pay more per ounce so I got the bigger one. Now that I have cooked with turmeric I'm glad I got the big bottle, I'll definitely be finding other dishes to use this seasoning in.
