Guess it's been longer than I realized since I was here, consider everything from the past several days liked.

What's goin on
Going - gone

Youth Gone Wild - Skid Row w/ Lzzy Hale filling in as the vocalist for a few shows. Audio could have been better.

Maybe a bit better on this one, but I'll leave the first one. I think Lzzy is one of the best modern rockers around, love that Skid Row tapped her to fill in when they needed to find a replacement vocalist on short notice.

Soul Sauce (Guachi Guara)
-My friend Henry Brun banging on those drums, his friend Joe Caplo vibin' at ArtPace Rooftop in 2016

ArtPace has "Pace" in the name, related to the picante sauce, because Linda Pace of the Pace Foods family was our homegirl. Her Linda Pace Foundation was to support and promote the arts as a vital social force. She died in 2007 but left us a great gift.

Soul of the poets
-Miguel Hermanito Swing Band

A song of how all the poets and songwriters were gone, all arrested under the advancing third reich, executed or worked to death in camps, considered subversive and dangerous, but how they would never be forgotten, how their songs were still heard, played and sung in the streets, at the cafes and in the night clubs.

Written by Charles Trenet, it had lyrics (though I posted a beautiful instrumental version):

So long, so long after the poets all have disappeared
Their songs still are heard through the streets
The crowd sings a bit absent-mindedly
Not remembering those who the songwriter's heart was beating for,
Sometimes change a word, a phrase and when
they can't remember more, sing la la la la la la

So long, so long since the poets all have disappeared
One day maybe, after I've gone, they will sing this song
To sooth a sorrow or celebrate a happy day
Perhaps it will keep a beggar alive, or send a baby to sleep
Or somewhere by the water in spring,
Will they play it on a gramophone?

A long, long time, such a long time since poets all have disappeared
Their light soul still runs through the streets, their light soul, their songs
Bring happiness or bring sadness, to girls and boys, to homemakers,
to artists, or vagabonds.

Well, my morning started off early, the place I'm renting needed a new roof and the roofers showed up a half hour ago. The noise from them scraping the old shingles off sounds like the roof is going to cave in any second, and my kiities are freaking out, cowering and hiding.😿

It's amazing just how loud it can sound on the inside when bein roofed. You can just imagine what's goin through both kitties heads at this point, they probably think this is Armageddon. Probably be weeks before they are truly normal again.
