Cherry pink and apple blossom white
-Manu Dibango & Cuarteto Patria

My town at this time of year. They're not cherry and apple trees, but crape myrtles in all different colors. Just a little bit of rain makes them burst into bloom, and when I see it, it makes this song sound in my heart.

Song of old lovers
-Sasha Andrès w/ The Recyclers

Translation:

Of course, we had storms
Twenty years of love, it's crazy love
A thousand times you packed your bags
A thousand times I took flight
And each piece of furniture remembers
In this room without a crib
The fragments of old tempests
And nothing seemed like nothing
You lost the taste of water
And me that of conquest

But my love
My gentle, my tender, my marvelous love
From the pale dawn to the end of the day
I still love you, you know I love you.

I know all your magic spells
You know all my bewitchments
You have kept me in traps upon traps
I have lost you from time to time
Of course you took some lovers
You had to pass the time
The body has to exult
Finally, finally
We must have had talent
To be old without being adults

And more time gave us torment
But isn't that the worst trap
Living in peace for lovers
Of course you cry a bit less early
I tear myself apart a bit later
We protect our mysteries
We leave less to chance
We distrust the flow of the water
But it's always a tender war

ALVIN LEE (1972)
Alvin Lee (born Graham Anthony Barnes; 19 December 1944 – 6 March 2013) was an English guitarist, singer and songwriter, who was best known as the lead vocalist and guitarist of the blues rock band Ten Years After.
Ten Years After had success, releasing ten albums together, but by 1973 Lee was feeling limited by the band's style. Moving to Columbia Records had resulted in a radio hit song, "I'd Love to Change the World" but Lee preferred blues-rock to the pop style the label preferred. He left the group after their second Columbia LP.
