This is still July isn't it? Meaning Halloween is still a little over 3 months away, right? I'm not crazy am I? Wait, don't answer that.

Family Dollar (and the candy manufacturers) seems to think that Halloween is right around the corner. They already have their candy display set up, and a section of empty shelves that I assume they are getting ready to use for Halloween decorations.

I guess this is a good thing/bad thing for today.

I bought a bunch of organic canned coffee drinks, Rise brand, and they're delicious, but they are giving me some kind of horrendous allergic reaction. I can't trace this itch to anything else, so I laid off them a couple of days, then had another one, and it flared again. So I made tags and taped them to each can, saying "My buyer's remorse is your gift. Free, take all you want". And I lined them up on the little table in our foyer.

Everybody is loving them.

It gets more and more ridiculous every year with the holiday product aisles, but in the case of Family Dollar it might be a last hurrah to get rid of merch before shuttering. They announced earlier this year they will close 1000 stores.

That's too bad that you aren't able to enjoy them. I looked at the ingredients for a couple, and nothing jumps out as an obvious allergen to me, so I wonder if it has something to do with the brewing process rather than the ingredients.

I just realized that Havana might be a difficult word match. So to assist if anyone needs the help, try Chuck Berry, Jimmy Buffet, or The Ramones, who all have songs with Havana in the title. Of course there are many others too, just listing them in case someone wants an easy search.

I can't figure it out either. They're made with oat milk. I've never had a problem with almond milk, cashew milk, macadamia milk or rice milk, and no problems with oats or oatmeal, but it may be something in the way oats are "milked", using enzymes. I may never know. They sure were tasty though.

We're allowed to use an album title for the word match, so this:

From the CD Spirits of Havana, "Yo Siempre Oddara"
-Jane Bunnet and friends from Radio Guantanamo

Stupendous song.
