This is very dear to me, hearing the tenderness of care from a young singer, India Arie, working with an elderly genius, pianist Joe Sample, on what was to be his final work. With the recording nearly completed, he passed away from mesothelioma in the fall of 2014. The release, "Christmas with Friends", went out from Motown in early 2015, after the holidays were over.

Her lyrics in this version of Auld Lang Syne are a little different than those usually heard. Both artists expressed in an interview that this work was hard under the circumstances. I think the cover photo shows how JS was fading. Two brave artists carried on because they loved the work. It gives me a good cry every time I listen.

Not really, I have what I call black cloud syndrome, usually it finds me every day but I have learned to live with it :gaah: . Other than that doin pretty good thank you for asking my friend:hug:. How are you doin? I was wonderin where you were

So on my last day of high school (1978) we went to my friend's house and decided to play Alice cooper's School Out. Somehow I connected my little cassette player to a Fender bass guitar amp (I had some Radio Shack adapter to do this) Not good quality but VERY loud! Days later, another friend said they could hear it almost a mile away. I was very proud of this ;)
