Really @kelli, a new rule? Certainly sound advise for mixed company in general. But didn't the conversation in question self-regulate anyway, and whatever hard feelings resolve if necessary via PMs? I detected no meanness, just a little temporary friction.

Absolutely nothing to apologize for IMO. Nor from the Friar.
As time goes on my kind are more and more unwelcome on a growing number of scenarios. It can be difficult to find a niche in which to feel comfortable and accepted. Even those don't seem to last very long. Still, I would not change who I am. This is why I am now at the friary....I'm safe here with my kind.
