As a parent it is always fun to ask my daughter if there is something she thinks she needs to tell me... normally there is some tidbit of news I've found out about that is good or interesting. She will run through 4 or 5 things before finally giving up and I tell her what it I heard about.

It's always fun to hear the things she says first though and she still plays the game even at 19

I'm torn about tomorrow's Colt vs. Brocos game. I haven't really been a football fan for a LONG time, every since Big John Riggins retired way back in 1985. As a 6'1 200 pound tight end who frequently played running back, he was my football role model back in the day.

Never really got interested in football again because about the time he retired is when I moved to CA and went from one of the most scouted players going into high school in Tucson (where recruiting was okay at the time) to a guy who couldn't breathe because of the smog of Southern CA and developed exercise induced asthma. We were only supposed to be there for a year so I sort of went into a dark phase after that.

Fast forward from the 80's to 2005 and a move to Indianapolis and a Colts game was playing while I was doing other stuff and gradually I got engrossed in the way Peyton Manning managed the game and his tactical approach to the game. Never really watched that much or became a fan of the game, but I'm definitely a fan of Manning and hate the way he got treated by Irsay at the end.

A part of me is rooting for him, but it would be nice to hear that the hometown team won and moved on.
