Scrolling through THIS clearance section (4 pages) there are some compatible coils in there. Others will know better than myself what is what.

The Atom coils and Herakles would be compatible with the A-Tank (special boro for Atlantis style coils) but not for a regular boro.

The Triton Mini ones would fit, but they're Ni200 so unless you're using bang on temp control, they're useless.

Not much there from what I can tell.

Thanks for the heads up. I found some 0.5 ohm Claptons that fit in the A-Tank for $1.30/4 pk. We'll see how well they work.

The DNA60 in the Billet Box handles these just fine. They were designed for DNA40 devices.

Your experience with TC in a Billet Box is uncommon from what I've seen. They're not commonly used this way, most use it in wattage mode. I appreciate that you're having a great experience with that aspect of the board, but I wouldn't recommend it to someone just starting out with their first Billet.

Yea I tried but always got the temp warning shutoff. Of course everywhere you read they say that's just letting you know you made it to the temp set. I call bs. Have to keep it on 600° to get more than a 2 second puff. I've tried tc on clones and authentic alike. Never did get more than a days good vape on it.

I can get TC to work fine in my BB's. As long as you get a stable resistance, with some twiddling it'll work. However, for very low power mtl, which is where they've been lately, I haven't taken the time to do it and have just used wattage mode. At like 15 or 17 watts, I don't know how much difference it'll make.

If someone has success with it, that's awesome! I've never had any luck either

Not to be a contrarian at all, but I promise I have had mine running for months at a time at like 420F and stable. Just being honest.

BBV got the fire switches back in and I went n done it. I ordered an authentic firing pcb/switch directly from BBV. I'm gonna get this Nugget I have sitting here running if it kills me.

I haven't had time to figure out how to get the ones from Ebay connected though I KNOW it can be done. I can't get a hold of the guy who did it now.

Need to TC vape a Dicodes

I go at least 4 tanks (30ml) before I change the cotton. Same simple 26g 5/6 wrap 2.5mm 316L plain coil...460f 27w and I get a near mech experience.

Most of what I use on the Billet Box are SS316L coils. I have all 3 of my Billet Boxes setup on TC always now that I have the right TCR curve loaded into them. It is same with my dicodes Dani Boxes. They are all on TC unless I use coils that are not compatible.

The Triton tank Ni200 coils seem to be the most unusual though. I have had to set the temp really high, 520F, for them to work effectively but it does work really well. (I confess that I have not converted to metric for TC vaping.)

I think the for vaping overall most people simply use wattage mode. Besides the Ni200 coils that appear to be going obsolete most of what's out there is SS316L. BBV and SXK only include the default SS316 TCR curve which doesn't work very well at all. In my mind BBV is destroying their product's reputation as a TC device by doing this.

Yes, the 'Temperature Controlled' warning comes on when you hit the preset temperature setting. This is actually pretty nice. On the BB you can watch the display while taking a draw and see how fast the coil ramps up to temperature. It's almost as good as using the Device Monitor in Escribe. If I had decent eyesight I would also be able to monitor the Voltage drop and Wattage but I'm a number of years past that stage.

My preferred TC wire is titanium. I ran my black SXK with the Xeta wide open in TC with Ti1 wire for a long time. I don't know if the service packs include wire profiles, but the first thing I did with all my Billet Boxes was flash the board with the newer firmware. Mine already had a profile for titanium.

That drove me nuts at first. I thought it was an error. Come to find out from the Evolv forums that it's just a message saying that the set temp had been reached. I disabled it.

You can disable the warning? I seem to recall it quit firing correctly when I got to preset temp. I may have to 3xplore again. Been a year or two since I've had one.

Man I really can't wait to get the sxk mission xv switch from 3f. That'll be on the clone though. Not doing much to the authentics

I get they’re hand sanded etc, but a set of calipers can keep an individual from being overzealous with sanding

Always have it shown on the BB under natural light or a lot of light, the way BBs are you will always see where the edge of the box itself is always squared, and panels should follow that precisely, those corner will always give modern issue who are hand sanding heavily...

Good luck

Doing especially the corners by hand would be a major pain and leave almost no room for error if they are to look perfect. Of course for that much money, nothing less than perfection is acceptable.

I like to root for people to do well. This kinda thing makes me feel bad. I imagine he's doing the best he can, but if you want to charge premium prices, people have a right to demand perfection.

just now seeing these stab door isssues. yeah, the guy is doing them all by hand. if he only sold perfect doors, he would have a lot of waisted stab. it is super easy to take off to much, ask me how i know.

sure, a garage guy is not going to have cnc. but, if i wanted, i could tool up and bust out perfect sets in no time.
but i couldn't sell ice cubes in hell

the G10(?) doors are CF. but i will say not in a way i particularly like (they did it like that so we would buy new doors).
anyway, the G10 doors, if you have not seen them polished out, they do look nice.
