Just saw this on vape tool cloud pics. Acrylic billet fracturing unprovoked. Said she had it set up less than a day. No citric juice leaking no drops. Maybe heats from the chip?

Disinfectant wipes would do that.

Oh really. Not sure if she used any of those. Hmmm. Just wanted to pass the issue along for any here that has or thinking of getting one.

Yeah the crazing is from the outside, not inside out.

Plus how the discoloration of the acrylic is... its longer than just waking up and noticing.

Funny thing is, simple cleaners like Windex can wreak havoc on acrylics

So the vape I'm getting from the Snail is kind of dry compared to to my Xeta. Flavor is good but it's not as rich as I'm used to. I'm actually getting "clearer" flavor without the chamber/chimney reducer. Any tips? Lower the coil? Too much wick?

That’s a lot of wick.

I trim it pretty much flush, and where the wick width isn’t like how you’d fill in a RDA... just enough.

Although I can’t see it being an issue of getting a dry vape, that would be more of height of the coil (air is well a drying force)

But yeah, try a bit lower, and a tad less tail wick.

So basically the same as the VapeShell then. I saw people were getting flooding so I was overly cautious. I think I have more cotto. Through the coil than I usually do. Thanks brother!

Couldn’t say about the shell...

But when I install a coil, I have it sit slightly lower than the notch normally allows... coil tool half way push down, swap sides do it again.

I also make sure to clear the af of cotton obstruction... when you stuff the cotton into the channel... the under side can sag into the direct flow...

I always wanted the coil slightly lower than it will allow, didn't think to try this. Thanks

Yep, way less cotton and a much better vape as a result. I may reinstall the CC reducer and see if that does anything for it now that I have the wicking sorted. I'll take some pics after I vape this tank down a bit so it's below the deck cap.
That's one thing the DotShell has over the Snail... I can pull the deck with a freshly filled tank.
Thanks again man.

You can't pull the deck out on a full snail?

I have once... put the tank on after I coiled... pulsed, no jump of the ohms... put in the bb and filled... guess there was a tiny bit that moved on a fused I didnt snip right... BB ohms went all weird... pulled the tank and saw the glimmer from juice on the tiny tiny strand of 40g wire where the chimney seats the deck... removed it, slapped back together, tank still full.

But then again, I don't fill to the brim... there is what looks like a mm or so from absolutely full... leave a little to help facilitate the vacuum... that and closing off the Air ports and taking a puff

Yeah I definitely have a bad habit of brimming my boros. I learned my lesson with the DotShell but couldn't resists trying with the Snail
If I left a little space I'm sure I could.

Okay BB friends, anyone know of an integrated BB whistle tip outside of the Mission XV ones? I thought I saw Koncio was making one, but couldn't find it on the site.
With the easy deck access to the Snail, I want an integrated tip to access that easier without having to pull out the 510 tip, then use a tool to get the a Snail out.
I'm not looking to spend 50 bucks on a Mission Tip and a NN nub that I may or may not be able to get at all.

I have a plain straight black one you’re welcome too... wasn’t a fan of it, so it sits.

From BMM...

I use the Signature Tips flush nut myself... I always have a coin in my pocket or on my desk.

Plus certain drip tips I use, they are tight in the key... and actually work like an integrated... probably could put larger orings and accomplish the same.

Don't you run the danger with an integrated whistle tip of having the angle fall in an awkward position?

What about a drip tip that also unscrews the 510 eliminating the need for a tool.

If you're interested I have an extra set I could mail you for a few bucks to cover shipping. Comes with gold and silver bases....these aren't everyone's taste though.

I appreciate that, but I'm looking for the integrated hybrid tip that takes the place of the BB 510 nut. Specifically one with a whistle tip.
The Mission XV ones have a sleep that fits over the tube portion of it so you can adjust the position of the whistle style one.

Not everything you're looking for but another option....about $26 usd I believe.

Question for one of you more experienced BB people. I had an ad up locally looking for a 2017 BB dna40 (hoping to eventually have one from every year) although I found an authentic I had a guy reply today that he had a mint condition sxk dna40 stock from 17 with "little use". I'd add a Dober for the right price. Iknow what I payed for the authentic but have no idea what the sxk is worth?? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The SXKs sell for about 110 USD brand new. I wouldn't pay for than 80 considering its three years old and a DNA 40.

Yeah I wouldn’t even buy it, the older they are the more likely there is juice everywhere on the inside.

Sxk and the like didn’t utilize the seal around the screen plate.

Additionally many don’t seal the positive connection point which can allow condensation over time to seep in.

Even buying a 2019, be surprised not to find juice residue and or moisture inside the battery area or board compartment

Good point!

I got really lucky with the 2017 Unicorn I bought from Mr. TRVP....he used it to prototype his previous inners that he made. When I took it apart it's spotless inside. I'm sure one that was used regularly is going to be rough in there.

Thanks for the reply

They provided a gasket that is less prone to shrinkage
