I don't know a real lot about actually using *nix; I've gotten accustomed to some of its quirks just because of running my websites on *nix (actually some flavor of Linux.. FreeBSD maybe) hosting, but never any command-line access. I might get into it one day, if I'm feeling in need of a new thing to learn -- DOS was fun! Batch files were funner!
Mostest fun was when config.sys loaded all the device drivers into the Ram between 640-1024, and you could move some of those around in there, with switches. I used to get $50 a pop for doing that for folks. Then they went and changed everything... *sigh*
