I'm over browsing the DIY threads. ALWAYS on the lookout for a new flavor
Fire ants....You don't want to swim in flood water It may contain sewage! Even in a rural area it's filled with insects and other animals trying to escape.
I'm doing pretty well, thanks This adulting crap is for the birds!
The birds say they don't want to do it either.
One thing you'll learn is that parrots decide what words they want to say, lol! And just because they don't say it doesn't mean they don't understand it. None of mine will say "bye bye." I don't have to wonder why; they don't like when I go bye bye. Rowdy says in this creaky, sad little voice, "Be right back?". Oobie whines like a dog. Merlin just looks sad, and Pete glares at me.
Merlin doesn't talk much. She prefers imitating sounds. But, she does everything I ask her to do, which amazes people.
Some parrots never talk, even if they are a species that is capable. Don't get a parrot for the hope it will talk. Choose the one that falls in love with you. They are finicky. They make instant decisions about who they like and don't like, and being nice to them won't necessarily win them over. Oobie absolutely does not like men or children. It's why I took her, since most households have one or both. They can also change allegiances. The person they loved as a baby may not be the person they love as an adult. Baby parrots see a chosen human as a parent. Adult parrots see a chosen person as their mate, and may try to kill everyone else in the household.
Cockatiels actually are cockatoos. They are just a smaller species in the Cockatoo genus.
LMAO!!!!!!!!!!
you don't have to send it my way.... please keep it
Morning yall and GFY's
Hate hearing about how bad mother nature is treating yall in Texas. I looked at radar a few times last night and it didnt look that bad but this morning, holy hell. Yall stay safe over there! And dont send that shit to Louisiana. We had enough wetness
I love hearing about your birds Roxy, they sound awesome.
It would be cool to get one but the lifestyle I lead of being gone two weeks a month would make that impossible right now. In ten years when I retire, then it might be possible. For the adoption problem you mentioned, is there websites for this that you would recommend?
Looks like it's heading your way. Our 5-day forecast is calling for rain Friday, so apparently that's when that shit will get HERE. Y'all, probably tomorrow/wednesday.
Andria
Checked the forcast a few minutes ago and Thursday has a %50 chance of rain, and the rest of the week it is forecasted to be beautiful in south east Louisiana. As accurate as they are that probably means monsoon weather all week
Fire ants....
A shot posted on my fb page by a friend of mine. Her sister's house in Columbus, TX. One bridge washed away completely. Haven't had flooding here like that in many years.

The official Harris county rain gauge map puts my neighborhood at 15.03" of rain last nite. I heard a tornado touched down very close by. Lightning strikes kept me awake most of the night. Widespread flooding, most bayous & creeks have gone over banks.Morning yall and GFY's

Pick up a large white t shirt and crab boil.Getting a few supplies!
Meh. Moved here in 91, seen many many floods, really wasn't kidding when I said it's a normal Houston springtime. This is terrible what you folks are dealing with in Texas. I can't even turn on the TV with the dvr breaking.
So I'm all caught up on this thread now...
Well, assuming skipping from page 22 to page 112 counts as being caught up?
I think I missed the origin of the GFY greeting.
But I believe I get the gist of it.
