After finishing my morning coffee (the unexpected mocha) I got dressed and went and umpired a youth baseball game. Seven innings, 1:45 start to finish. Came home, changed into the grubbies and finished splitting the wood that's been piled in the driveway, and soft-stacked it until I can build a new rack to store it in. Ran the blower on the driveway after cleaning up the firewood detritius, then helped the boy with doing the yard. Showered then had dinner, and just sitting down here to catch up on a the GFY'ing that has transpired since this morning.

Yeah, just go in and randomly change stuff in your php.ini file and let the fun commence!!And I have a local php server running too. Can't do joomla without screwing around with php
But I know what you mean: I was working PHP this morning for one of my sites (no Joomla) making some changes to mysql queries. It's always good when you haven't coded anything for a long time then have to remember the right syntax and structure to avoid having the query blow up.

I think it is probably the QUALITY rather than the quantity. I see most folks who have come over, have this irritating commonality of GIVING a shit about each other.. Still plenty there that I'd like to see here..

Doesn't surprise me. The couple of threads I am following over there are very slow. This one had 250+ posts today that I had to catch up on.

I love a good nap. Really, I do. Just wasn't going to happen today - too much on the schedule and agenda needing to be done.
Best of the best for the day was stepping on the scale and seeing that I had lost the 10 pounds I said I was going to lose, and within the time I had set.
Now, another 10 pounds in the next month...

Hell though, they pissed off people that didn't even like me much by deleting that thread, not giving me any chance to communicate, singling me out when other members not only did the same thing as me but did it several times, and making me a supplier anyway despite my wishes.

Was mortified when I weighed in last month and was at 260; that's the most I've ever weighed. "Going to lose ten pounds in a month." No plan, no diet - just changing eating habits around and some lifestyle changes. Half-mile walk during lunch, cut out the junk food and replaced with fruits, no late meals or snacking.

That put the icing on the cake for me too, even though I left prior.....when Roxy was tossed out for no reason whatsoever.

The hosting I've been using for about 5 yrs now is the fastest I've ever used; their MySQL servers are AMAZING -- when I first started running Joomla, I was appalled at how slowly most webhosts' MySQL servers are, but these... WHOOSH! Lightening fast, and NOT expensive.

What I always found really fun is how php and MySql are reversed in their line endings, where they want the semi-colon.

ETA: Err.. I misspoke... er typed... It was CSS I was thinking of, rather than php -- CSS wants a semi-colon at the very end of each line.

My experience is that Joomla is a PHP/MySQL whore. I rolled Joomla on my server and it works okay, but plain PHP code with MySQL rips much faster than Joomla. So whoever your hosting provider is, chops to them for getting it on good iron with optimized virtualization.
So often I've watched there, to see newcomers greeted by mods in Chode Mode (Talkin bout the DAWG!). You've been nothing but SUPERsweet, Huck. No Smarm! And we don't even have to be afraid of you. So, I mean this in the nicest possible way. GFY.
If you had pancreas problems you'd know what it's like trying to gain weight....almost impossible...thank god with a LOT of workouts, running, and eating what I can without it ripping my guts apart, it can only get better.
Been fighting with the pancreas going on ten years.....what a miserable life at times. Thank GOD was able to STOP smoking.....wow...!!!
I'm sure you can do it. If I did, anyone can. See my other post for the minor tweaks I did to get there. Simple stuff, common sense. Just takes the commitment to make it happen.That's very encouraging! I just started working on 10 extra lbs.
