Morning/afternoon fugee's.

Was up till 7 am this morning thanks to the tooth ache coming back. I knew it was going to happen, was in town yesterday getting a hair cut and it started bothering me then. Its sad when ya have some woman that keeps accidentally rubbing her tits on you back and arms and all you can think of is "this fuckin tooth". :(
At least I got some sleep. My mom calls me at 11:30 to let me know my cat is not happy at all. Its cold and rainy today and her sunbeam isnt coming thru the window so she can sunbath the old bones and when the cat isnt happy, no body is happy :giggle:.

Like I tell my hoodlums, "DonWannaHearIt!" Then of course they all stand around shaking their noggins, doing the sun salute, yawning all that much more. I eventually got to get away from taking in rotten hound mutts that turn out to be smart asses. No idea where they get it from at all. :)

Is anyone besides me sick of sites that won't let you in until you fill in the pop up box that wants to know your birthday, then you have to wait while a really dumb fuck box pops back up and tells you how old you are?

Fucking blows

Morning Fugees, Hope every body is doing OK. I have been so busy lately haven't had any time for forums. So I tried to get back into ss wire today but can't get any of the mods I'm using to go past 80watts. I can get it up to 600 degrees but not past 80 watts. I find the vape is not satisfying me and the flavor is not there It just may be those 2 mods I tride it on. Will break out the DNA 200 later and try that. Any insights would be helpful. On a brighter note I had shinyitus again and ordered a home wrecker g2 . Oh and did I say affectionately Gfy's.

I gave up on TC, didn't notice any better vape, and I don't get burnt hits anyway, so everything is in power mode. Much easier and flavorful. Ain't got time to screw around with TC either...nor do I want to.

The thing about TC.... I miss that.. surge, after a few seconds in power mode. It meant "Get off the trigger", and I of course would push it a bit just to get a coupla flaming balls.

But if ya get TC dialed in on a GOOD device, DNA, it WILL kinda blow your mind. At low nic, dialed in, I'll get a GOOD flavor, very consistent through the hit. No real TH from nic, so it almost is like... just cool flavor that you can make a lil warmer if you like, or blazing, but when you exhale, DAYUM! That sure didn't FEEL like a Cumulus...

Oh, and in Escribe, you can make it temp dominant, but set a wattage and length of time for the buck. It's old school when you get it right, THEN it goes to your temp set and holds it. THAT is pretty cool too.

Yes Lucy was a great sale. @inspects I tried it once before and wasn't pleased so I figured I would try again. I used pre-built Clapton coils I got from Stu. I get better flavor and results from my kanthol Clapton coils.

Hi Psyc! Wow, you must have had a moment! I need to set my calendar every two days to remind me to post "Where's Psyc?" I got a roll of vertibraid, tribraid, and double fused clapton or whatever it's called. ALL awesome, each their own.. purpose. I loved being able to tell him how I vape and have him tell me which were best for my style. THAT is very cool, like a tailored suit.

I agree, if you are using watt mode, I'm not sold on using 316L. Can't get that resistance that 20w will kill on a set of batteries for days. I only wrap stainless anymore just because I do use temp mode a lot, and I don't have to wonder what metal is in the JDS. I have a feel now for what ohms want how many watts, and I get Kanthal performance. It just takes a LOT of battery.

learning temp control over power is a lot like learning snowboarding even if you were a skier.

They don't have SHIT to do with each other. It's all new turf. I got a snowboard when my ski's were shot, and I knew my sons were going to want boards when THEIRS were. Thought I'd get the jump on em. Swore I was going to go every day for as long as it took to master it. The morning after the first outing, I couldn't even get out of BED. So yeah, TC is like that. I swore... I dunno, when they started offering it on contests there, that I would figure it out. Reading doesn't help a LOT, it's a feel.. It really has taken months before it is ALMOST always practical.

TC on anything but a DNA, I've surrendered that it is flaky at best. The DNA200 is the TOOL. What kind of wire you building with? What kind of mod? Do you have, and know, Escribe? I'd love to suggest a build that would work well for you, and the settings to make it happen.

I have a lost triad DNA 200 but haven't tried to on it yet. I originally built with some coils that Stu sent me not sure of the Guage. 7 wrap claptons. I tried it on my Maxo and my snow wolf both would go up to 600 degrees but only 80 watts. I have escribe and barely familiar with it but have some knowledge of its use.

Get your poor car in the shop yet? Sonofabitch, I know the equation.. call insurance and get paid, then pay higher premiums or eat it and keep it quiet. Oy...

Much to my chagrin - we will be eating it

It's almost 20 years old, but WAS in excellent condition. Over 200K but still hums like a kitten and am sure I could get another 100k out of it easy. The last of its kind imported from Sweden before Ford started making them here.

No car payments, low insurance, very safe and never left me on the side of the road once. Had it since 2002 and it still looks nice. Hell, I was going to drive it down the Alcan this summer, all the way down to Cabo and then barge it to Hawaii.

I put about $2,500 a year maintenance in it - whether it needs it or not. It's had two new windshields, needs a third, and two paint jobs.

The leather interior is in perfect condition still, there is one small stain on the rear passenger side where some fish medication leaked out of a bottle several years back. Nearly immaculate.

I test drove a new one two years ago - and it felt like I was driving a Ford  and I wasn't even tempted to bite. My old one has a nicer interior and handled better on the ice.

Fuck, it is still very drivable - I may just shame him into driving it to Los Anchorage when he goes to the neurologist next week and get an estimate...

I love my car  and don't feel it can be replaced for the amount I currently spend maintaining it - which is very low for what I get out of it

Nah, I've been having to do that long before I discovered vaping. That's old school porn site age verification tech.....Ummm, yeah, I mean I hate that shit.

Nice to know. Spit, or swallow?:giggle:

I actually do hate all the 'verify your age first' crap, especially on sites that I seemingly continually visit or haunt. Here locally I think one time is all I have ever been carded & that was due to the BATF inspector making a genuinely random pop inspection of a place. Asked him how old he thought I was first. He said I looked barely 16. Told him that being cute and flattery like that might get me into bed with him, then handed him my ID. He darn near had a stroke reading I was 42 at the time. :) :giggle:

ETA:
Minor FastTech product plug here. If you're looking for a good general all purpose pocket knife, I suggest one found on FastTech. It is the Silver Leaf knife. I only did a slight touch up sharpening of mine on an electric can opener's honing stone in the back, used it this morning a bit to skin out some deer legs to the bone for my dogs. The knife slid through sinew like melting butter. :) It does the trick but good. :)

SUCKS, Lucy! I only keep full coverage on cars for 2 or 3 years max. Then I drop to basic liability, no comp. It's the NEW ones that are a killer to lose. Once they have a few years on them, they start turning into monthly repair bills.

My buddy/partner was shocked when I put the whole fleet on no comp. 11 vehicles, the full coverage was insane. We've been in business 10 years and only ONE truck was ever damaged, and that was when his son, who shouldn't have been driving one, drove off the road into a BIG ditch. Bent a lot of shit, but it was fixable. So yeah, we are WAY ahead of the insurance game. If there are two industries in this country I loathe, it's Banks and Insurance companies.

GM GFY. There's some real dipshits in that thread Morley. Zero common seance or simple logic. I find it both interesting & frustrating at the same time

Yep, I'm over there. :) You got dip-shits galore with me being there. :giggles:

I know you are not calling me a dip-shit. I know this because everyone knows I am a dumb-shit what is never dipped back into the stupid-shit bin, ergo, I'm not a dip-shit. :) ;) Still, I do enjoy the aimless banter a smidgen, especially when it regards all the various forms of shit.

I do still think my notion of De Mudder RDA was a fair one, which ought to be given consideration by some manufacturer. Think I comprehend where folks are going in not liking, or at least not liking so much the Velocity screw posts, and how Goon style clamps would be an improvement. It does seem reasonable, logical, least ways to me. :) But I know too that opinions are like anus orifices and most stinck, self inclusive. *shrugs*

Shazbot Nannoo Nannoo! Will be in and more often out today. It's a damn do nuttin' day. *smh* Laundry, firewood, cleaning out wood stove, reading more on Yoga / Hinduism, scrounging up idears for sumpin to do fer fun.

Actually, the velocity posts were and are a great idea. MUCH improvement over the predecessors. Unfortunately, wire is no longer just round, and when not round, the whole set-screw-against-coil idea is as flawed as the wire-under-screwhead mount. I don't know what the answer IS, and I am not spending even a moment considering a solution. I've already been in the vape business once, and it just moves WAY too fast unless you have something REALLY revolutionary, and you make a LOT of them before you start selling them. The window between intro and clone for anything remarkable, is a small one.

We adopted a standing policy about 20 yrs ago, that if we wanted a vehicle we could ALWAYS depend on, that meant having a car note, all the time. So now, when a vehicle hits the point where it's one repair after another, we trade that sucker in pronto. That of course does mean having full coverage insurance along with the car note... but we can ALWAYS count on our vehicle. We went to this policy because of how modern vehicles are all computerized, electronic shit -- my husband is a good shade-tree mechanic, but not a computer geek; if something mechanical breaks, he can fix it in a jiffy... but not electronics. It works out pretty well for us, and none of that "car won't start" "car's making a funny noise/smell/behavior" bullshit. That's worth its weight in GOLD.

And mornin' to the rest of yas! Rainy Sunday, yay! GFYs!

I donno, I had a 2008 Mustang that I bought three or four years ago when I wrecked my Ranger truck. The truck had only the minimum liability so I had to finance the whole price on the car. The Mustang had full coverage on it when my place flooded and the car was in a couple feet of water. Insurance company didnt give me blue book on the car, they gave me the average replacement cost of the car in my area. They valued the care at $250 less than I originally paid for it so I made out good. For me full coverage is an additional $200 every 6 months and that is not going to make or break me.
With the Ranger I wrecked, I dropped full coverage on that truck 6 months before the accident and I am still kicking myself in the ass for that,
